It’s peculiar, rough around the edges and a lot could be improved, but virtually everything about this feels more… Unique than most other horror games. It feels like the developer had a vision and didn’t mind taking a few risks.

You’ll go back and forth between your conscious and subconscious, completing puzzles, fighting off enemies, but you’ll also be intrigued, wondering what bizarre scenario will be coming up next.

It’s pretty cheap if you want to take the risk and try it out. If it isn’t for you, there’s always the refund option.

Noosphere has been on my Steam wishlist for about a month and it was time to try playing it. I have to say that I was not disappointed with the game even though I found a few minor bugs.

One time I even fell into textures and got stuck there for a while :/

But after restarting the game I never encountered this again.

Nevertheless I consider Noosphere to be a good enough psychological horror especially considering it’s indie.

My rating would be 8/10 screemers.

Strobophagia | Rave Horror

Okay, to start off, I really think this game is awesome. It’s got an interesting premise and a great atmosphere.

However, in it’s current state, it feels a little… lacking in some of the plot elements, especially towards the end. It is also a short game, and a little pricey for the length.

BUT, I believe that the potential in this game is very high, and that is what keeps me closely invested in this game’s development.

I just can’t recommend Strobophagia to the average player at it’s current stage. I’m leaving a negative review because I don’t want the average player to have a bad time because the game didn’t live up to their expectations. I will update this review(or make a new one) once the game gets smoothed out a little bit.

This game is amazing! I had to review it do to people giving it down rated reviews. I dont think thats entirely fair. The game is absolutely beautiful and it will run on anything. The sounds are great, the music is amazing and very industrial rave. The lighting is incredible, the game gets VERY scary at times and there is always a looming fear hanging over you at every turn. The game also has SO much potential. Ive only played it though once at the time of this post but i plan on replaying it again and again. I understand that 2.2 hours for a playthough is a bit short, and i hope they plan on adding more content, different endings, and things to do. However this game should get an up vote. If they added nothing to the game, the value would actually still seem fair to me. Give it a try, and if you feel its not full enough, maybe give it some time to build before down voting it as that can actually kill a great game, and this is indeed a great game. If you agree with me and want to see this game going strong, give it an up vote!

Death in the Family

Death in the Family

I wanted to like this game it had a great atmosphere and the jump-scares were good. I liked this game until I got to when the hallway turns all red and the stuffed animals are on the ceiling. I was forced to walk to the end of the hallway where someone is waiting and when I got there the person killed me I think but the screen just goes black and stabbing sounds can be heard then nothing. No ending, no credits, just blackness with the white dot in the middle of the screen. I am not the only person who had this happen too and I played it two times in the video below just to confirm. Also, some events are time base so I had events stacking on top of each other in my first play-through. I can not recommend this game at $4 when it feels unfinished. I waited one day to see if a patch was going to come out to add an ending but nothing. This game is only about 40 minutes long. If you want to play this just know it is short but has some good jump scares but I think your $4 can be spent on another game. If this game had an ending and was cheaper than I would give it a higher score and a recommend.

Unfortunately, I’m having to leave a bad review. The game has so much potential, with lots of jump scares, but once you get to the man at the end of the hall, it glitches and the screen goes black. Being a full time streamer, my community was very disappointed to say the least. For that reason i can’t leave a good review.

The Catacombs of Solaris Revisited

The Catacombs of Solaris Revisited

really nicely made trippy little toy.

But without an objective or context, $12 is pretty steep for what is essentially a fancy visualizer. It only has a couple of features that the free itch.io version doesn’t, and imo they don’t exactly warrant such a high price tag.

My advice: search for and download the original free version, and if after playing that you think “oh hell yeah I’d pay $11.99 for more of THIS”, then by all means go ahead. (I did for what that’s worth.) But without further updates, a point to it all, or a lower price, I can’t recommend everyone or anyone buy it.

I do think that the price is a bit high for a game where you just walk around and look at weird stuff, but the way this game is made is very cool, and very trippy, and jhbakjbAIjhy8qwuyowqghbwqbgukqwyhbqgwkuyhgbqhqbhqwbA AN HA AHN AH aH hah a ha baH ja jna

Remember when, as a kid, you’d be out with your parents at night and on the way home you’d lay down across the backseat of the car and fall asleep, occasionally waking up, half-dazed, to see the shine of street lights, business sign neon and the taillights of other vehicles flash and drift across the roof of the car? 0N0W recreates this aura. You wander ethereally, feeling safe yet uncertain, through landscapes of not-quite-cities and not-quite-forests, with no single destination in mind and few signposts of actual location. Occasionally a path and portal are present or you find yourself in a cozy domestic space, of sorts, overlooking dynamic, seemingly-sentient surroundings. There’s never an objective discouraging you from enjoying the moment and looking around. But oftentimes you just press on until you’re suddenly transported to the next dream. I’ve yet to get to the part where I arrive home and my parents carry me inside to tuck me in to my bed. Frankly that would be a feature that I hope the game does not deliver on. I’d rather stay perpetually en route and in this beautiful trance.

Absolutely in love with the art direction for this game. This game is an artistically driven audiovisual walking simulator beyond any other. This game is honestly best on controller due to the way the sprinting and jumping mechanics work. There is nothing preventing you from sprinting backwards even while in midair so the amount of control this game gives you over your movement is insane. In it’s simplest form your objective is to progress to the next level by jumping off the map or finding a door. The game utilizes breadcrumbs and lampposting effectively to allow players to find their way to the door with varying amounts of obviousness. The center of that glowing sun will take you to the next level, those books on the ground mean you’re getting closer, and those lights and sounds may lead you to the right place if you follow them. The game has a way to end it by returning to your car you arrived in in a level that looks almost like heaven. Light gray floors, bright blue sky, clouds, and nice music. If you run into a level like this search for the sky elevator that will take you back to your car. That’s essentially considered to be the full cycle completion of the game, however the game gives you reasons to keep playing. This game is best played in bursts of 30m to 90m and can also serve as a fun interactive visualizer if you just want to chill out and listen to music. The movement allows for CSGO like skiing and using a controller gives you an insane amount of control for jumping and sprinting around the incredible levels. If you’re looking for a cool artistically driven game then this game is for you. If you need an objective or collectibles a survival walking simulator like The Long Dark may be more your style but they have literally nothing in common from an artistic standpoint. Highly recommended for those who are long overdue to a trip to an art museum and would like to try something fresh new and digital.

Altered Destiny

Altered Destiny

(Foreword: You may ignore my playtime; I played the crap out of this upon original release. Now I’m just having a bit of fun running around the world.)

Altered Destiny is an adventure game where the player controls the character with the arrow keys and types commands with the keyboard.

There are two specific issues I want to address with this review, which could affect your decision to purchase Altered Destiny:

1. This is the inferior MS-DOS version, and not the Amiga version, which has significantly better graphics. I realise there used to be some commercial rights issues with running Amiga games via emulators. However, Amiga Forever provides a solution for selling Amiga games on PC running through emulators. Publishers like this one should look into it.

A fun game to get lost in for a few hours, very tactile environment and satisfying sounds/visuals. Good variety of puzzles and storytelling in the environment, all coming together in a lovely hidden gem.

Also you can bunnyhop and schmove around which I highly recommend.
