The Caribbean Sail
Forget that the graphics would have looked dated on a Commodore 64. Never mind that you didn’t think you wanted a dying-at-sea simulator until now. This game is good. Your first run will be a disaster: you will board your raft, purchase whatever meager supplies you can scrounge up, and expect to have a fighting chance of reaching the nearest port, a mere thousand miles away. Hah. Your crew will starve. Those who don’t starve will catch the plague. Those who don’t die of plague will be picked off by Spaniards or pirates. All while a chiptune rendition of ‘Drunken Sailor’ tinkles merrily in the background.

Probably the best indie game I’ve ever played. If you have a thing for anything nautical you should totally play this game - there are so many things you can do. You can be a fisherman and make a living through selling fish, be a wealthy merchant carrying various flags to use them to fool around enemy ships to trade with them without involving yourself in the war while carrying an abundance of cheap luxuries bought from China to sell them to rich Americans or you can buy a powerful warship and be a pirate to destroy anything in sight and loot every ship you come across, or save civilized world from crazy pirates by being an ally of England or doing an absolutely crazy thing like sailing from China to America with the cheapest ship. You can even catch a giant whale or be a master gambler. Game goes on no matter what you ending achieve, so possibilities are endless.

Cleo - a pirate’s tale
„Cleo - a pirate’s tale“ is a Solo Developed Retro Pixel Art Pirate Adventure with a lot of nostalgic flair, humor and a linear story, inspired by the old Zelda games and the classic LucasArts adventure games.
THE STORY:
„What is the most important part of a story?“
Cleo is a 14 year old cynical girl, living a repetitive life with her father in a bar. She knows everything about the epic adventures of pirate legend Captain Cabeca, but in her everyday life, she is just surrounded by boring fishermen and unsuccessful pirates, hanging around at the counter.
But when Cleo finds a strange pirate-logbook and sees a ghost, who gives her a mysterious hint, her boring life is about to get turned upside down. She is thrown into a dangerous adventure and finds herself in a world of lies, deceit, greed and bad breath - the world of pirates - and most of them are looking for the same thing:
THE TREASURE OF ETERNAL MEMORY.
KRAKEN FODDER:
“Kraken Fodder” is a mini game inside the game.
It is a card and dice game, which is taken pretty seriously among fishermen and pirates. One round takes about 5 minutes and the game is about destroying your opponents card deck with canon balls. HAHAHAR!
Throughout the game, Cleo has to play this card game against a few NPCs.
The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2020. The release is planned for late 2021 with full voice acting in English and German.
ARRRGH!

Disney Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
“Disney Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End” is a pretty good port of PS2 game.
Despite it’s name - the game have actually a bit of “Dead Man’s Chest” and “At Worlds End” in term of story and it is a way more simplified version of the movie plot as you may guess.
Also the game takes only certain key scenes so if you didn’t watch movies you will be confused as f*ck while playing this game.
I want to point out - for a simple Disney movie tie-in video game
developers did a really good job with overall gameplay and level variety.

TLDR: Corridor leverpull. Primitive arkham style fighting. Superficial thin story. Button mashing oriented. Pass.
The game established a gameplay loop fairly early on of fighting a few guys, pulling a lever, getting a short dialogue or cutscene. Most of the dialogue is fluff and activities aside from reaching the end of the level include finding easter egg like optional areas in which you can free additional prisonners for completionism sake. You can also grab gold which I was not clear on its use, and you can pick food items.

Levantera: Tale of The Winds
10/10
Sailed halfway across the world,
fought off hordes of pirates
to then climb a giant tower filled with ninjas.
While trying not to get corrupted by the green crystals.
And not die to wolves and spiders.
Along with trading sugar and other spices port to port.
and after that, I learned how to double jump and shoot fireballs.
Seriously if u dont like this game, wtf is wrong with u??

It took me a little while to get the feel for this game, but after I did I really liked it. Unfortunately it suffers from a bit of lack of direction. Eventually I figured out what to do by basically going everywhere. Now I’m kinda stuck again. Not much of a wiki community for a game with 5 reviews.
It’s fun and I hope the game isn’t abandoned. Haven’t seen an update since it came out?

Pirate Hell
Played for 3.5 hours, game glitched and crashed. When I reloaded the game my save file was gone and I had to start over. Played a few more hours, shut game off for the night and when I reloaded the game in the morning my save game was again gone. This and the fact that the game has little content warrant a THUMBS DOWN!

Simple and fun to play pirate o’the high seas simulator. There’s a mission-driven storyline but missions are replayable or you can just sail around pirating (or helping) random ships.
You can build up your town and customise your ship or earn new ones including a (not very) secret ship.
Good fun for the price of a few of bottles of beer!

Play alone, team up with your friends or mysterious strangers in the tavern. You can assign roles, but besides that, each player chooses his own character class, with its unique features.
You can buy a ready-made ship at the shipyard or build your ship by yourself. Choose a ship class, materials; place guns and other parts of the vessel where you want. Decorate cabins, choose the shape of the bow figure and style of the ship, paint the sails and raise the flag.
The combat system contains: melee and long - ranged weapons; blocking and rolling moves. Each weapon feels different and has different stats depending on the type of weapon and ammunition. You can put a variety of skins on your weapon, ranging from a rusty pistol to a golden rifle with precious stones.
Board enemy ships, plunder merchant ships and destroy entire fleets. Set as many cannons as you can, load the cannons with anything you want, from forks and spoons to cursed cannonballs. Throw grappling hooks and get into battles.
Guide your journey by the sun and stars, they will help you unravel the mysteries. Look for treasures using maps or by solving riddles from legends. However, if you do not want to search for treasures, you can rob caravans or unite in alliances with other players for large-scale expeditions and robberies.
Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates
Thumbs up! This is pretty good for a hidden object game. This game was originally released in 2010, but I was able to run it under Windows 10. This was a sequel to Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, but I couldn’t get the original to work. I’m not sure why one works and the other doesn’t, but trying to get old games to run is always a gamble.
This game is mainly hidden object scenes and I thought that they did a good job hiding most of the items. There were a few that I couldn’t find, but there are hints available if you get stuck. There is not much in the way of a point and click adventure, but there is a wide assortment of mini-games. I didn’t like all of the mini-games, but you can skip the ones that you don’t like.

There’s Treasure to Be Found Here!!!
Wow, I must say when I started this game, I was expecting another dull, boring, badly scripted HOG. I love hidden object games, but to be honest there are some bad ones out there. This isn’t the best as far as the story goes, but the puzzles and hidden object scenes are worth it! There are some easy puzzles, some that took me 10-20 minutes to figure out, and some that are just plain hard!! The puzzles were mostly very different from the normal puzzles in HOGs also. Very, very creative and unique for the most part. The hidden object scenes are very nicely put together, and not just a bunch of stuff thrown around. Don’t pass this up if you’re looking for something a little different in an HOG, especially if you like puzzles/brain teasers/riddles to figure out,

Sid Meier’s Pirates! Gold Plus (Classic)
This Review has some CRITICAL information missing from the home page to enable you to play through with out loosing all your gold/guns to a security check.
This game is a literal port of the late 80’s and 90s version of the PC game.
CRITICAL PIRACY CHECK INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW.
This game was designed with a anti-piracy feature (I know ironically funny) where each page of the instruction manual had a pirates flag on it with a real pirates name. During the game you sometimes come across a pirate and it asks you to identify the flag. If you choose incorrectly you will loose all your gold, all your cannons, and your crew will be very very unhappy.

This game back in the DOS days when it came on about 15 bajillion 3.5 floppy disks was the bomb. I used to sit up for 48 hours straight guzzling jolt cola to stay awake (because that was the one and only and first ENERGY drink aside of strong coffee), no lie. If you don’t know what Jolt cola is, well that’s your loss….lol I’ll tell you like my Mom told me…. LOOK IT UP!!!!! AHEMM…. The game, right… let’s see. well you are on a ship see in the carribean, see and you are either a loyalist or you are a black bloody pirate who takes any ship or town he comes to and he rapes the town and pillages the women…..AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Blackbeard the Cursed Jungle
Did not like it. Controls seemed wonky, and I got stuck on things a lot. Didn’t play it very long before I gave up. Seemed really sub-par though.

Blood and Gold: Caribbean!
Tl&dr: whatever you expect from this game (M&B battle style, trading), search for it somewhere else, it is not difficult to find something better.
Mount & Blade engine, extended trading system, naval combat, main story… sounds perfect, what could go wrong? These were my thoughts when I bought this game and I got my answer very quick.. too quick. Everything can go wrong.
Honestly, it feels like someone took Mount & Blade, Sid Meier’s Pirates and Port Royale, stripped all the good parts from all these games and then mashed them together.

Ok, so my review is basically a bug list that needs fixing from the devs:
Crashes when trying to retreat during special missions. Being able to see the battle play out is ok, but your maps often mess up the pathing, and then it can take forever. There’s no way back to the menu screen then.
Not being able to control your men during special missions. If you ask me to do a 31 v 31 skirmish with native gear against armed enemies, then letting me use the basic mount and blade commands would be nice
