Another road

Another road

This game is pretty fun for the price! But only if you have someone to play with… I happened to come across a stranger and he kept threatening to say the word over text to speech and my mum was listening to my pc and she got really angry and she took my pc away for an hour but other than that the game was fun! I’d give another road I one half carrot out of I one half uneasy face..

i ran into this really cool dude with a top hat and a moustache, the only way to communicate was text to speech, i’m pretty sure he was russian. anyway, i really wanted to say this word, but he also was forcing me to say it, so i don’t know if it was truly me who wanted to say it or if he was peer pressuring me. i think i fell in love with dwayne the rock johnson during this, something about the character models…. what?? did i just say that out loud???. yeah ah hehe uh woops, anyway….. 5/5

The prison-break game A Way Out was great, but Hazelight studios really surpassed themselves with this title reaching the quality of a Witcher game for instance.

Hilarious comedy, very witty coop-play riddles and continuous genre-bending.

This was the most insane and fun 14+ hours of my life. Super fun game to pick up with your homie. There was so many easter eggs and overall a blast. The graphics and the play through where amazing. The co-op system was very unique and that made the experience more surreal and enjoyable. If your not convince from the other reviews, hopefully this one will tilt you or your friend to purchase this game!

We Were Here Together

We Were Here Together

Let me first say I highly recommend. 5/5!!

My friend and I have played the entire “We Were Here” (WWH) series, and have been fans from the beginning. We are also critics willing to acknowledge when games we like are flawed.

Our first impression coming into the game was that it had a very different feel from the start. Typical WWH has you starting in a dark, dank dungeon with extremely linear progression. It has a light touch of cartoony horror that has always both left us laughing, and me screaming while having a panic attack (at the theatre puzzle). This one starts you off in a very light hearted, warm, homey setting in a semi-free and open environment from where you can gaze at a startlingly beautiful landscape. The world feels alive down to the intracite detail. While still cartoony, it is new, refreshing, and shows a much higher quality while slowly returning to its cartoony-horror roots as you progress. (We only just started chapter 2) It is no longer just about a dungeon, but about being in a world and a story that is unraveling before your eyes.

Honestly this is better polished than the first and second instalments but lacks the charisma of them both. We Were Here Together is a must have if you have played the other games, so go right ahead and give the free game We Were Here a shot first if you are on the fence. Chances are you already have so I am writing this review with that mindset that you have played the others. Fear not, there will be NO SPOILERS FOR ANY of the trilogy in this review.

The We Were Here trilogy centres around an expedition to a frozen wasteland where there is a castle filled to the brim with devious puzzles for you to solve. Why should you solve them? Well, why are you here? Go big or go home.

Escape From School

Escape From School

Highly Recommended! I enjoy puzzle games and this one caught my eye right away. I love how the puzzles, so far, are not extremely hard like most others in recent games I have played. This one definitely has potential! Yeah there are some bugs here and there, but that is to be expected at least within the first couple of weeks of a new game release. The creator contacted me through my Youtube video of my gameplay. I reported a few bugs that were found in game. Glad I could help :) Cannot wait to see the next level/s! Looking forward for more from this creator!

The Survivalists

The Survivalists

This is a very good title for anyone looking to start or get someone started on survival games! It is also a great game for anyone looking for a low-stress survival/building game. I got my 70 year old Dad playing this and he loves it with over 187 hours logged so far and still counting (he took over the entire home island as his base).

So here are the good, the bad and the ugly of it

The Good: The monkey automation is fantastic at this stage though it does need some tweaking to perhaps assign single monkeys to a specific workstation IE: this monkey only crafts things at the Forge and ignores other work stations.

Island Escapists

The Survivalists, by the studio behind prison breakout game The Escapists, has your basic “explore and craft to escape the island” plot.

Hoo boy, is there a TON of crafting in this game. No raw resource that drops is of much use without modification, not even the fruit that you can eat right away.

Recipes come in three basic styles. Items crafted By Hand must have the items in your inventory. Items made at crafting stations or as blueprints set on the ground do not need you to have all the items in inventory at once. Instead, you can put just a few at a time until you have all you need. These latter two styles also require the use of a “multitool,” but it looks and sounds like a hammer, unless it’s stirring food.

Needs more development time and testing alot of stuff only half works and the inventory system needs alot of work. They need to change the inventory system as well as change the way your character gets energy replenished, it is currently too tedious to eat/drink. Cannot recommend this game, especially at that price. I see what they were going for and it is a cool concept, but for the price there is much better games for the same if not cheaper. I would like to recommend this game and give a good review, but in its current state I cannot. Hopefully it will get better and I think they should take ideas from games like Space Engineers on how to execute this games functions much better. For now this review will remain negative until much needed improvements are made.
