ROAD HOMEWARD

UPDATE (nov. 27. 2019): The dev made a completely new version. The game is still short, but the graphics are fantastic. You need to play it.

UPDATE (dec. 21. 2018) The dev. updated the game and it is much more playable now. Still many situations where the car can get stuck, but you learn this positions and can avoid it next time. I have to say, i had lots of fun now, playing the game, finding the right way. So i recommend it now for a buy. But keep in mind, it is still buggy and the english voice is hard to understand. But the gameplay is something fresh and nice. I hope the dev. will fix the remaining problems, but he is on the right way.

Update (December 31, 2018) - I would like to say that the developer is very responsive and passionate about making video games. I was able to make it past the troublesome spot. Reminds me of the Souls series, unforgiving but, rewarding once you master the area.

Normally, I would not write reviews on games but I feel this could be a great game if more constructive critism is offered. Please, please fix the issue of getting stuck. I cannot get past the first thirty seconds as I keep getting stuck.

Car Drive

Ever since the age of 13, I have had a passion for cars that nothing could keep me from. I would watch my dad work on his old ‘61 corvette in the garage, sitting next to him, silently, shining the flashlight where he wanted it, handing him socket wrenches & screwdrivers until whatever problem the car had was fixed. I loved doing this, & my dad was probably the biggest part in my developing passion for cars.

At the age of 16, when I got my drivers license, me & my dad spent hours looking for the perfect project car for us, that I could drive to school & work on in my spare time. After months of looking, we found the perfect car for me: An ‘83 fox body Mustang GT 5.0. It had been wrecked, we got it from a private seller & I spent all of the money I had been saving for years on it. Me & my dad had it towed home, & got it running later that afternoon without much trouble.

So you’ve read the description and now you’re down here in the comments trying to figure out what’s it all about. Click the video above to see some of the gameplay, mechanic and hear my thoughts on the game.

Car Drive is a simplistic game. There’s no abundance of mechanics, gimmicks or systems that you need to master to be good at the game. You simple drive and adjust your pitch when needed to avoid flopping over like a turtle on their back. The graphics are minimalist, the music is banging and controls are spot on. I highly recommend Car Drive based on the price and the amount enjoyment I got out of it. Try it for yourself, see how far the drive can take you.

Cross And Crush

Updated 26/1/21

Since I last reviewed, game has been fixed, with that aside, the game still becomes a grind to play within minutes. To unlock all the characters is a sheer headache as the game does not reward you very well with coins, and the achievements of needing to get one thousand, five thousand and 10 thousand coins is just tedious. Achievements like this, NEVER enrich your experience with a game. They just make you despise it and get angry (cross) and will make you want to smack the developers head in (crush).

In this game you use A and D to tell your animal which way to go as the vehicle it is pulling destroys stuff in a lame way and you’re being chased by cops. Somehow Tap By Tap managed to make destroying a city and killing cops boring. I wouldn’t even recommend this if they paid you €2.

Devs didn’t put their effort into making this game so I won’t put mine into writing this review:

Glitchy, bad mechanics, bad graphics, ok idea but should’ve left others that know what they are doing to put it in practice.

Achievements can be eventually unlocked. Beware that if you’re having issues with the “Mission Possible” you need to tweak your in-game graphics settings as well as the refresh rate of your monitor (if you have more than 60hz).

This game is total crap. There is some hilarity to be found in that, but it wears off pretty quickly as the controls are absolutely awful. I would advise you to stick to the Tony Hawk pro skater games for your skateboard fix!

Off-Road Paradise: Trial 4x4

Off-Road Paradise: Trial 4x4

I really saw the potential of this game…

Unfortunatly it failed on too many levels.

Positives:

  • The whole idea of a offroad trial game on small rock islands with a tropical theme

  • Some of the levels are fun and nice to play, and give a good vibe

  • a lot of levels

  • ok graphics

Negatives:

  • It feels like driving a bouncy ball on ballon tires in really low gravity

  • bad grip

  • bad physics (feels more like on the moon than on earth)

  • on/off controls, nothing in between, which makes it very hard to play on some levels

Off-Road Paradise: Trial 4X4:

One of the greatest inventions of the 19th Century is without a doubt the automobile. Some are built to look good but surprisingly are lemons; some are built to go fast, but these days unless you are a professional racing driver you are pretty much going to do 110 KM/H at best on a motorway (Down Under, that is). However, some are built for discovering and passing the most difficult terrains. They are Off-Road vehicles. . . Oh, what about Off-Road in Paradise; let’s give it a trial!

## Offroad Horizons: Arcade Rock Crawling

This game is awesome! I've been wanting to have a game like Offroad Horizons for a very long time now. The rock crawling aspect of this game is simply fine tuned. And the physics of the vehicles is so realistic. I'm having a blast rock crawling on the trails which are soo beautiful by the way.I also love how areas on the trails get hairy and would need your complete focus and would need just the right amount of throttle response to get over the obstacles. Do yourself a favor and get this game you'll definitely have fun rock crawling on the trails!

Fun, challenging, but most of all ADDICTING!! This is one of those games you WILL put some serious hours in. It's definitely well worth it for an Early Access game. The most important of this game is the mechanics/physics, and it works really well! Driving and handling is really fun. Another thing I want to point out is the GRAPHICS!! I'm not that far into it but in what I've seen so far the levels are really pretty and well designed. I've only played about 3 hours thus far but I haven't come across any bugs yet. My only suggestion is the possibility of adding a desert level? Would be nice to see a jeep drive through it hehe :P

## World Of Walking Cities

Bewertung / Rating: 04/10

English:

The installation under Windows 10 works fine.

The game starts smoothly and the game menu is clear and user-friendly.

The game idea is reminiscent of the movie Mortal Engines.

The control of the mobile building in the game is a bit lengthy and does not always react immediately to the click of the mouse.

The fight calculations and the outcome of the fight are both very inscrutable.

You never actually lose, which is why you ask yourself the question: What are the upgrades for?

UPDATE: After 8 months without any updates, it is now clear that the developer has no intention of further developing this game. DO NOT BUY.

Though I hope there are additional features as the game continues through the development process, I can't recommend purchasing it at this point. There is very little content here, and not much of an indicator as to what additional content will be…

## Dakar 18

I have completed this title on Legend Difficulty. It is brutal beyond compare, and while it does indeed lack the setup options and FFB setup options of other titles, the vehicles are clearly good, and the FFB is very good as well. I do admit that for the first month of 6 weeks it was impossible to play. Bigmoon had no idea what a Sim Racer was, but I am in continuous contact with the DEVs and they have huge heart and passion for this race and this Title. They have released 11 updates now, some improving physics, other improving controller funtionality, and others including content. The game itself has improved by leaps and bounds and the folks at Bigmoon are online and listening to the drivers 24 hours a day on the Discord channel, and they have constantly proven a dedication to our thoughts, desires, and needs.

Ok disclaimer: I -REALLY- enjoy this game, despite it's flaws. It's got potential to be a great game, we just have to be a little patient to get the field-test to yield some good results.

Despite all of the things mentioned below i have enjoyed this game very much and still am enjoying it a lot. Please Please PLEASE be patient with these people. I really want them to go on and work out all the kinks, support them and help them fix it so it can become a sim even veteran studios will be jealous of. And as we all have NO way of seeing how their bosses and publishers were treating and handling them we as a crowd could be at least a little bit nicer right? For all we know the game was scheduled June 2019 and the company said "No, september!".

The only thing I dont like on this is that it does not have a proper thing to upgrade your performance of the car instead theres gambling which is annoying and feels like slot machine rather than upgrading
