Xenociders

Xenociders

After I’ve read a review comparing the game with Turok on nintendo 64, yes I played it too in the 90th, I thought it could be good fun. Indeed my son and I are not disappointed, 10 hours and ongoing says everything. Hunting dinos in VR is definitely topping the 2D gaming from the past, tried the old game again and decided that’s not working for us anymore. However, the scenery is beautiful, love the jungle, the little alien like monsters jumping out of their eggs reminding me much on mini “Aliens”, of course, and add great fun. Somehow one can’t stop playing unless you die. Re-spawning is sometimes tricky, stand still don’t move the headset or you easily hang in the glitch with no way out. Graphics are great but my 1060 GTX has a hard job to do. Not the games fault, just need to upgrade to a better card. That said, if you like great jungle landscape, dinos and aliens, sniper rifles and all kind of weapons which are getting better the more you play, then that’s the game for you. Devs, you have created a fantastic scenery and game, only wished the day and night cycles would be a little longer, both look stunning though.

This is a quite nice survival adventure VR game. It is early access at the moment but was apparently forced out early by the publisher. It has quite nice atmosphere and gives the feeling of a mid Xbox-360 era game which I feel adds to it, this also makes the load times almost 0. Its a nice 5 hour long game overall.

English:

Game installs problem-free on Windows 10.

At the start of the game, the first problem comes to light:

you are immediately in the game - without any possible volume settings etc.

Also no help, which functions there are in the game …

You are constantly playing in the same screen area and can only click left or right to change direction or to shoot around there, with the figure itself running in the previously selected direction within the screen area, which is why you find death quickly and often, especially since the opponent is simply short show up without warning. So a very chaotic control and programming.

Hunting Simulator

Hunting Simulator

It’s not worth the full price but I bought the game during sales (-80%) for the bow hunting and graphics. I didn’t regret it. Here’s why:

I didn’t find it was as arcadish as some here claimed it to be, at first at least, cause I started playing the Hunting Simulator on a hard level of difficulty until I had to roam a map for almost 2 hours (or at least it felt like I was roaming it for 2 hours) in search of 3 wolves, and I didn’t have enough time to claim the third predator, the game was over, then only I decided to see what the game is like on low difficulty.

I have played this game for a couple of hours now, and so far I’m really enjoying myself. Ofcourse this game isn’t a Battlefield, so the gameplay is a lot slower and is a bit harder to get into. Expecially tracking and finding the animal that your mission is telling you to shoot can be a little bit difficult in the beginning. But once you get the hang of it (PRO TIP: Use your map A LOT), it’s so rewarding to get a clean shot and claim your prey. It also seem to get a bit easier to find the right animal, once you unlock some callers and other items like wind sprays and binoculars.

Hunting Unlimited™ 2008

Hunting Unlimited™ 2008

This is a long review for those who want to know all details of the game. Long story short, this is a very nostalgic open world classic where you can basically do whatever you want. You can hunt 8 different areas, all ranging around the world, and HU2010 even adds a few more. You can hunt the Southern Rockies: a hidden gem brimming with versatility, accommodating noob and seasoned hunters alike. The South Central Plains: where hunters wither under the sun every year in pursuit of game ranging from antelope to bison. The Central Rockies: a rugged hunter’s paradise blessed with gorgeous vistas and mighty trophy elk. The Southwest: where unforgiving cactus-covered valleys and ponderosa highlands molded America’s most elusive big game. The Upper Midwest: a highly sought after hunting ground where world class bucks roam these impenetrable forests and sprawling farmlands. The Pacific Northwest: another beginner hotspot for those seeking some of North America’s finest trophy game among luxuriant temperate rainforests. The Northern Rockies: a forlorn, cruel wilderness renowned for its untreaded peaks and untouched animal populations. And finally, Africa: a vast, scorched land with more trophy hunters than animals, all searching for exotic wonders like the portly kudu, cunning lion, and the colossal elephant.

I grew up playing this game as a child, and it just brings back so much nostalgia playing this again! Sure the graphics and gameplay aren’t up to today’s standards, but back in my day, this was the stuff! Haha

Very cool and very creepy game indeed! When I was recording I did encounter a couple of bugs, but nothing crazy. I love the fact that there are multiple endings so I’ll be sure to come back and find the rest! I’ve been waiting for this game to come out for about 2 months and can say it was pretty worth it.

For maximum terror, don’t go to bed the night before like I did! XD

Now to go take the trash down in the dark in an area that’s know to have a lot of deer. Weeee!!!

Played through this game not knowing what to expect as I’m no horror fanatic. That being said this is a well made game, especially for the price. Its suspenseful and what storyline that is there is very interesting so props to the devs for making this, I’d definitely recommend playing through this as there are four different endings. Keep in mind there is no save system so once you hit “begin” you’re in it until you’re done. I currently only have the second ending.

I have an 18 minute playthrough to the 2nd ending here, it does have commentary and it spoils so if thats not your thing don’t click it and try yourself!

i have over 80 PC hunting games in my collection. This game is exiting to play because of all aspects in the game.

The graphics are super and movement is great, the weapon is good shooting, but you can also Die if attacked.

I would recommend this game to anyone who loves to hunt. The price was great also.

This game needs a lot of work. My opinion is that it was released too early to even be early access. It seems more like a proof of concept than anything. One of the very few games I ended up refunding.

Whitetail Challenge

This might seem a bit obvious but the game deafults to the lowest quality

of graphics and screen resolution. So, the first thing I did was enter the

Controls and then check the Hi Res checkbox and select the Best Fidelity

Graphics and apply.

I think the graphics are great and I really like the

night transitions.

Plays like a real outdoors hunting adventure in my opinion.

Just a little bit of patience is required.

Whitetail challenge is an attempt to create a realistic hunter/survival game in which your aim is to hunt bucks with guns and survive. There are currently 5 levels at the time of writing this review (8/7/2016). Each level has a different environment. In order to progress from a level to a higher level, one must hunt a buck or survive the initial half day, night and the following day. You must also explore the map to find provisions such as food and medicines which help you survive longer.

Essex: The Whale Hunter

Essex: The Whale Hunter

Let’s embark on an adventure! Full speed ahead, it’s high time to go hunting! The goal? Glory and precious loot in the form of a multi-ton whale. The stake? Your and your people’s life.

Did I say “people”? Of course, after all, as it has been known for a long time, you must gather your party before venturing forth. Recruit adventurous madmen to become part of your crew.

But what’s a captain without a boat? Take the helm of Essex, the legendary whaling ship Captain George Pollard Jr. used to set out on the memorable voyage of 1819, which ended with the ship colliding with a giant sperm whale and sinking at the bottom of the sea. This event inspired Herman Melville to write the famous Moby Dick, the novel on which Essex: The Whale Hunter is based. Now it’s your turn to visit 19th century Nantucket.

Track down your own Moby Dick, grab your weapons and fight an unequal battle against the sea colossus. Once you win, harvest the raw materials from the whale – you’ll monetise them when paving legal trade routes and searching for luck on the black market. Only (or as many as) a couple of accurate harpoon throws stand before you and a great fortune.

And when the ocean turns against you, smashing your ship to smithereens and lunging you to the shore of a desert island, do your best to get out of there and return to where you belong – to the great seas.

Essex: The Whale Hunter is a 19th-century whaling simulator and a great opportunity to experience a truly Melvillian adventure, full of tension, grave dangers and whale trophies to win. Become a legend and find your Moby Dick!
