Football Drama

Football Drama

I’m not a football fanatic (freak) however the original and poetic approach to this subject has intrigued me almost immediately. The story is set in a fantasy (imaginary) and magical championship in which the player takes on the role of the coach Rocco Galliano. In order to improve the score of the Calchester Assembled the player will need to make the right choices and can do so only by identifying himself to Galliano’s troubling life.

This is a game of choices and experiences shrouded in an aura of mystery right from the start. The gossip, the simulations and the tone of the matches are hilarious.

Football Drama

In this game, I reached the final credits extremely quickly. Yoga instead of the first training session for my team and going to the bar to strengthen team spirit looked like a great decision, but something went wrong… Perhaps the owner of the team did not appreciate the subtle trolling in his address, in short I was fired. The second playthrough was more successful but less fun and it uncovered rather serious flaws.

Football Drama consists of 2 major parts – turn-based football matches and choice-based storytelling. There’re a lot of references to real people (you’ll meet several recognizable personalities from the football world and also Pier Paolo Pasolini) and references to clubs/situations and the storytelling part is good enough to entertain and catch your attention. On the other hand turn-based football matches become boring rather fast and almost unaffected by what is happening in story.

It’s not for everyone but I like it. Trying to survive as an 80’s delinquent by playing the horses and having random acts of weirdness on the beach is pretty amusing. They are using their starters orders game to play out the races. Apparently in the 80’s bookie shops in England, punters bet on races with only an audio call of the race. I’m only guessing because I’m from the states… Wish they would use the announcer calls for their starters orders races but I digress… So yeah it’s stupid, it’s fun and weird but there is nothing like it. If you like horse racing, then you should give this a go because there just isn’t much out there for us.

Alpaca Ball: Allstars

Alpaca Ball: Allstars

Nice little indie gem with good core gameplay. It was designed with controller in mind. Playing with keyboard is possible but lacks precision in both movement and striking the ball. Has various arenas and ball types, but the single-player campaign is very short. I can only recommend to buy this one if you plan to play a lot of local co-op or during a deep sale. Online Multiplayer would be an awesome addition to the game that can justify the current full price.

I could not see where my first two hours of this game just vanished.

Super fun and super enjoyable.

Devs, if you are reading it, please consider an online mode with leadership table and other stuff. This would definitely motivate people to stick with the game and to look forward to any addons and different events.

Rugby Union Team Manager 3

Rugby Union Team Manager 3

RUTM 3 is a good step forward from previous incarnations. I am enjoying the game and also enjoying the community support that comes with it. Fellow players are able to offer advice and information and the game developers were only too happy to help me find a solution to an issue I was having with the game (which was related to my display settings).

A little bit of editing is required to get the stats of players and teams up to speed which does take a little while, fortunately shared databases by the playing community does speed this process up significantly.

Without shadow of a doubt the best Rugby Management about by a country mile.

Developers listen and invite feedback, which is worth its weight in gold and it’s a vast improvement on the previous version in my opinion. More pleasing on the eye, some tweaks around finances and contracts which are positive.

Anyone wanting a rugby version of football manager will be disappointed. But lets not forget that this game is in its early years in comparison to something that has been on the market for decades?

Multicellular

My first thought was to be skeptical, and I thought maybe this game was too much like Spore, but I’m a huge sucker for cell games and there is definitely not enough of them so I decided to buy this game and I am not regretting it one bit! I have been playing it all day and am still on the first level and tier of cell upgrades. So it seems like this is one of those games that takes quite a bit of playing to get good at and understand to it’s fullest potential - and I love that! I’ve barely scatched the surface!

A game seemingly based around multiplayer with no community and really not reason for there to be one. Different cell types interact in such a generic way that there is really only maybe 3 to 5 different ways to play the game. 1. have a carnivore with spikes that runs into things. 2 have an herbivore/omnivore with spikes that keeps things from running into itself 3. have a carnivore with guns/ bombs 4. have an herbivore/omnivore with guns/bombs. 5. some combination of the last four.

having the ability to move pieces of your body while playing could add dynamism to the game. Adding a multiplayer system that allowed you to match with people over long periods of time could make the multiplayer actually viable.

Reviewed in Early Access: Day One

I can honestly say that visually it is a massive improvement on RLTM2018. This is an early access game and is day one of launch. There are issues, but nothing that can’t be worked around or are completely game breaking.

Some matches will glitch here and there, but it’s more funny than annoying. A simple restart of the match is in order and you’re off the to races again. I’ll update this as time goes on, but the Devs are amazing in getting back to you or sorting issues out. There’s even a dedicated Discord they set up so you can talk about issues or suggestions for future patch releases.

A much better upgrade than RLTM 2018 version game, at first when I start this game it was quite difficult even with the tutorials. There was a lot of hassling where to click, read and at times scrolling up and down sometimes double clicking. You can feel fussy and torn at times during the game that’s the challenge and the thrill of this game. This game can still be improved and add more features into it which the guys are still working on it. I’d be more happier if they don’t leave out the four qualities traits that only a few players that deserve the special qualities either through Main Squad, Academy or the Alliance players such as Enigmatic for Green colour, Red for Intimidation, Blue for Resolute and Yellow or Gold for Inspirational for attack and defence which makes a huge difference for your team between winning games and losing games. If anyone finds this game still difficult even after following the tutorials that’s okay stick to RLTM 2015 game it’s an easy game. Once you got the hang of it then move up to RLTM 2018 game. RLTM 2018 game is still good for those who might be struggling to play RLTM 3. For those that have RLTM 3 game it’s a game for those who want to see how good the game really is and want to challenge themselves like myself. So if your tired of seeing your footy team losing again and again there’s always this game to play. A must have for an NRL fan and I highly recommend it. For those people that are still deciding if you want to get the game or not, give it a go a bit expensive but worth it and cheers guys for making this game really special I appreciate it a thumbs up for me.
