The Deed: Dynasty
Apparently, the Bruce family is just plain murderous, and somehow they’ve managed to pass their bloodlust along to subsequent generations. TDD improves upon the original game by offering three different scenarios that take place in different time periods. As with the original game, your goal is to successfully murder your target while framing someone else for the crime. Talking to different people and examining your surroundings provides you with the information you need in order to get away with murder; it’s just a matter of selecting the right evidence/murder weapon and bringing everything together during questioning.

The Deed is a murder mystery, except this time you’re the Murderer and you have to get away with it! If you enjoy the idea of making the perfect kill, evading and fooling the police and getting away scott free, then you should take a closer look at this game.
This release was a quite a suprise to me, I enjoyed the first game, but never expected a sequel. Fortunately its a good suprise, and anyone who enjoyed the first game will enjoy this game, with more refined gameplay and three scenarios to play instead of one.

It’s a platform agnostic, story driven game with adult themes, extreme violence and cinematic pixel art.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition
I’m really getting tired of this unfinished re-released mess of a game that claims to be “Definitive Edition”
Update changes can be found the the end of review.
Disclaimer: Just because i have received it for free since i own the classic copy, it dosn’t mean that i should tolerate the progressively lower quality end product, ESPECIALLY since it was better before. So i will try to inform the new buyers to what they are signing in for.
The graphical uplift is barely noticeable to classical version. Sure there are some changes like; super shinny surfaces, better makeup for our ageing characters, altered weapon sounds and God like car lights that can blind the blind person. Oh yeah and there is two new cars;

Some would call Mafia II: Definitive edition a hot mess, or that It needed a lot more content and graphics upgrades to be considered “Definitive”. I’ve looked at over 100 reviews of this remastered game, 98% of which are completed wrong and unfair. Half the people never gave it a chance and never looked into the smaller details or took notice of anything. The other half are bagging on it because others are too, to the point where people are making up lies to make the game seem worse. This is my complete “REAL” review of Mafia II: Definitive Edition.

Murder In Tehran’s Alleys 1933
This would be a decent short point and click adventure title were it not so… slapdash. The English translation is pretty engrish, though the voice acting isn’t that bad. Some locations have two music tracks accidentally playing on top of another and the game characters have entirely different design and looks during in-game and cutscenes. (The protagonist alternates between having a black three-day stubble and a shaved face with silver moustache – and gains about 20 years of age!)
Puzzles can be roughly divided into two categories – there’s item-using puzzles that fit the world, and random bouts of sudoku and tic-tac-toe that seem there just for filler. And I had the tic-tac-toe glitch on me. It’s just so half-hearted and I’m willing to give historical adventure titles quite a bit of leeway.

I liked it, thought it was worth a couple of bucks. I wish the captions/writing would be proofread & fixed. The characters are good. The story is good, except that some of the pieces of the plot do not fit together because of the poor translation. Overall I was glad I played it, if you like old school point & clicks it’s worth a shot. I really wish the developer would fix the captions/writing, that would really improve the game for very little money.

Still Life 2
No one wrote a review on this classic, well I suppose if ones go too far in depth it’s likely to ruin the game. I’ve had this game for awhile now, somehow I forgot to add a review on it. I only write reviews rarely, but I do feel many are missing out on this classic adventure game. Partly because it does a great job of keeping up the suspense, it really does, often while I was playing this I kept thinking I could see this as a potential movie, for the fact that the story is actually very in-depth. I’ve played some of Still Life 1, though it’s far easier to get stuck on that game in my opinion based on the fact that you can’t progress if you haven’t completed gathered all evidence. The same is somewhat true in this, but it’ll be far more obvious what you should be doing, except there are two really difficult parts (one is in fact a bug that I’ll tell you about in a moment). But, with a little observation and diligence (and maybe you have to reload a save every now and then). I mostly played without the need for any walkthroughs, however one of the game’s bugs it is very specific what you need to do there, otherwise you have to start your game all over again (but fortunately this happens at the beginning of the game anyway, so it’s not a big deal if you screw up).

Still Life 2, ironically enough, is a work-of-art doomed to muuuurrrrder. I absolutely loved the first one back in ‘05 and just recently found out (06-2014) that the sequel actually got released. And, though I loathe online videogame criticism because of the era of repetitive flash we live in, (i.e. the move forward and shoot, and do it again games) ya just can’t help but accidently read them as you learn when the hell the game got made. I know I’m a hypocrite – so doesn’t that nullify itself?

Angels That Kill - The Final Cut
Notification: English is not my native language.
I played the demo of this game and after I’ve completed it, I simply couldn’t resist buying it. If you can’t decide whether you want to buy it or not, try the demo first.
tl;dr This game is one of the best I played in a long time. It’s very organic and well balanced in almost every aspect: story, music, visuals and gameplay.
Story
Take role of one of the two protagonists striving for survival and/or better life (which is quite difficult, as you will find out). The tragedy of this city lies not only in the recent terrorist attacks, but also in the appearance of an unknown murderer wandering the streets. The game has 5 chapters (with more to come in updates) and multiple endings, depending on choices made by the player.

Okay, Seeing as the game only has negative reviews at this moment, I figure I’ll bring something positive to the table. The game isn’t bad, Its strange, but not bad at all. It has its quirks, and its ups and downs like every game does, but by far it’s not a bad game.
The style of the game, is dark, it even mentions it in the description. It following through with saying the games dark grey to black and white style is true to that of noire films, with a low detail style behind it, might not be the best choice for traditional noire but the game hits key points within the genre.

Burden of Proof
Extremely good.
In general, the assets are not of extremely high quality detail, which is completely reasonable considering the production of this game, which seems to paint a misleading picture of the game’s quality in screenshots and trailers; I at least thought the game didn’t suffer much from it. The plotting, characters and sounds are extremely well done, and the gameplay is generally very good too.
The exploration involves 3D movement, which I found very enjoyable, and I believe it justifies the use of 3D visuals even if they overall are required to be simpler than hyperrealistic AAA models that can be found in high production games.

I’m not someone who writes reviews but thought I would for this one.
If you like Ace Attorney, Aviary Attorney, or games of that ilk you will most likely like this game. I also give kudos because this game is longish also with a developing storyline that gets more and more interesting as time goes with a pretty neat ending. It would probably take most people 25 hours or so to beat which to me is a good size game for this type.
It functions very similar to AA series with a couple minor differences in Investigation and Courtroom mechanics which are not better or worse than AA imo, just different. The humor, quirkiness, and writing style is very much like AA and you can find similarities almost immediately. As someone who is a huge fan of AA franchise this game hit the right spots and satisfied that itch very well.

Chinatown Detective Agency: Day One
‘‘There simply must be a corpse in a detective novel, and the deader the corpse the better.’’ - S.S. Van Dine
Chinatown, Singapore in the year 2032 - Amira Darma is the female protagonist operating her first day as a Private Investigator in a dystopian cybernoir world where she feels her detective skills can flourish outside of the financially crippled Criminal Investigation Department that she once worked for under the command of Superintendent Justin Koh.

“Chinatown Detective Agency - Day One” is a prologue for the main game due sometime in 2021, and gives a first impression of what to expect.
In short: I found the game to be interesting and it’s definitely got potential - hence my thumbs up. But it still needs some a lot of work.
The low-down
CDA is a retro-styled cyberpunk/noir-themed whodunit which plays much like a classic point-and-click-adventure with some light elements of life-sim and puzzle-games. From what I hear it is strongly inspired by the Carmen Sandiego-franchise with its chasing after clues and travelling to places all over the world.

Drawn Down
Surprisingly good game, really enjoyed it! Would’ve liked it to be a bit longer, but given the low price it’s hard to complain. Recommended!

I didn’t quite know what to expect when I started the game. I am a sucker for pixel art point and click adventure games. This one is a nice gem of a find. There’s some interesting plot threads, and a good level of interactivity with the various mechanics that do make it feel like there’s more to puzzle solving than just dragging items over others to progress.
The voice acting is also a nice touch but it can be a bit spotty in places.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this game, especially at the price. I’m looking forward to more from the creator.
