Kitchen Simulator 2
(Got this game for free via dev submission to SteadyGiveaways. Thanks!)
Trailer makes it look good, gameplay gets boring and fast!
Kitchen Simulator 2 is a simple game about gathering food and serving it up…not exactly cooking stuff. Some people want pizzas, others want half avacados, and some idiots want a single carrot slice….though the biggest idiots already have food on their plates even if it’s something they’re asking for.
If there’s something this game gets right is that the food looks great. Handling the food and all other models, however, look pretty bland or buggy. There’s also LAN support, but why bother when you don’t even have LAN multiplayer? This game basically has 10-15 minutes of gameplay before it spits you out at the main menu as if you hit the ESC button, which gives you the same result.

ok but what the actual fuck is this game??? it must be some type of woman thing but i cannot wrap my skull around this game, some of the items i think have been made up. wtf is a long muffin how can a muffin be long and where the fuck do i find it? what is the difference between french bread and normal bread how the fuck am i meant to serve you the correct origin bread that looks no different to japanese bread? i can grab the food just as well as Jimmy Savile can grab a child. there is no consequence if you miss a customer and i dont actually know the point as there is no scoring system and after the day ends it puts you back to the main menu. other than that id say 10/10 i would def recommend to a friend and i hope to learn all sorts of interesting facts about food prep and what its like in the kitchen. i would also like to state that Gordon Ramsay has been awfully quiet about the release of this game as i think all his fans would move to this far superior teaching method. i hope to obtain all the knowledge i possibly can from this game so i dont have to rely on my disobedient wife to make me shitty burnt scrambled eggs every fucking day. i hope you found this review helpful 👍

Mary Le Chef - Cooking Passion
I love the Emily Delicious games from Game House, so I had to buy this one. I have learned a lesson. Evidently, the publisher will option games from outside developers that are extremely similar but not quite of the same quality as the ones they develop in house. This is one of those games. The story is good and it follows the familiar format of 60 levels in varying difficulties. You earn and then spend to buy café upgrades. Challenges are similar to what you’ve seen in other Game House time management games. However, this game has just enough irritating qualities and glitches to render it more annoying than satisfying. When you chain items for pickup you don’t always see the shadow outlines of the items in your tray to help you remember what you’ve chained. The point/click is not reliable. There were some levels where I had to really watch and make certain I was clicking in just the right spot to activate an item for pickup. This is one of those games where you wish they had spent a little more time on refinement and testing to make it the same quality as the Emily games. Overall, I mostly like the game but I really wish I had waited for it to go on sale. This game is only worth the full price if the developer/publisher makes some tweaks and refinements.

Mary Le Chef is a time management, puzzle, clicker game that reminds me of games you normally play on your phone.
It looks cute and colorful.
I’ts simple, easy to understand, fun and it becomes addictive to achieve a perfect score.
With each level that you clear, you earn money.
You need money in order to upgrade your restaurant.
In each level to clear you can also find a mouse for extra points and for fill a task that will give you diamonds.
Those diamonds can be used to unwrap gifts in your room.

Kitchen Simulator 2015
the entire game looks like those terrible 90’s compressed cgi full motion video things that play before you begin a game.
there are no options, period.
so the music is way too quiet, turning it up leads to excruciating beeps and boops that i guess serve as a notification. none of my actions made any noise.
graphics as i mentioned, are just awful. no options there either. chugs like a chungus. made in UNREAL engine.
Upon launch, you are greeted with a dreadful menu that has three things to click on. PLAY, TUTORIAL, QUIT. Even worse, they have those three things repeated right next to their english counterparts, now in russian. One of the worst UIs i have ever seen.

Epic Chef
The key to comedy is timing. The simple nature of the game mechanics allows the humor to just keep rolling. Is this some new avante garde game? No.
It is fun. Pure and simple fun. Stop worrying about how hard or easy the game is and let it take you on a ride worth the price. If you only care about being some hoity toity gamer critic? Move on.
The cooking is more of a puzzle with ingredients than a mechanic. It sets the canvas for a fun story with characters you will remember and not have to wiki when you need to find them.

Absolutely fantastic! The humour and story telling is amazing. I was afraid, that it was targeting a young audience, but this isn’t the case. Witty characters, great punchlines.
It is also more in depth than I thought. Not mentioning spoilers, there is a lot more going on, than just building your farm and the cooking competitions.
If you look for a great story game, combined with some farming, resource gathering and cooking, you are going to love this game! I would not recommend it, for people who don’t care about a story and are looking more for a cooking simulator.

Dangerous sea area
It is big, empty, and tedious.
Building a single piece of foundation takes 30 swings of the hatchet plus crafting time for the planks.
There is literally no point to any of it.

Survival Engine
Well to start with this is a very well made little demonstration for a mere advertisement.
It really is too bad that it’s creator does not seem to have any intent to turn this into a full survival game as it is actually very fun and has incredible potential, it has it’s flaws to be sure but with some polish and care it could be one of the best indie survival games on steam and with it’s low system requirements it would end up in most survival gamers libraries as long as it was priced reasonably as a full game.

This is a really cute game. When I downloaded it I had no idea it was just a demo so I completed everything really quickly but i love the mechanics of the game and overall play style! I personally would like the ability to move my camera angles and select a space for my character to move to without them getting stuck but other than that I had fun playing!

Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe
“…no one is born a great cook, one learns by doing.”
~Julia Child
Let’s admit it, the times when mixing tile-matching puzzles with RPG elements felt fresh and cool are long gone. Not only it’s hard to surprise people with yet another “Puzzle Quest”, when you see something like that today? It’s like “Good grief, not another one…”. Battle Chef Brigade, though? Let’s just say that this game is special. Very, very special. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

I like this game because it is different form any other game I played. You get to play with different characters and each one has their own story, but they are all part of the main story of the game. I like the combat of the game when you go on adventures looking for ingredients and fighting all kinds of monster to get them all. You also get to choose your equipment for your character and each one has different things that makes your character better. The cooking and how you cook is different and I found it cool how they use a match-3 mini-game to make your dishes, so it is much different from how you do it in the Overcooked games which I also liked. I like finding all kinds of ingredients to cook different foods. The game graphics look really nice like a Disney anime mix and the food looks so good…but I would never eat it knowing where it comes from. I guess it makes sense in their world but it’s weird in real life.

Cannibal Cuisine
Bought the game day 1,it’s now day 2 and i still have not been able to even play the game.currently i can get to the loading of the first level, after choosing characters, but the game locks up during the loading screen before the level,or during the cinematic.i’ve tried re-installing the game, verifying game files,re-installing again, running as admin, but nothing seems to work yet.i really enjoyed the overcooked! games, and my girlfriend and I play them alot,so it’s a pretty huge downer to not be able to play this game after buying it.i noticed today there was a small update for the game, but that hasn’t changed anything.

Definitely best overcooked-type game after Overcooked. (I’m a big overcooked fans, Full 3s Map)
Despite some little bug (dishes not delivered in order if same dishes appear / dashing knock wall / little movement bug / etc), it did not actually impact big on gameplay like what other negative review.
I would suggest some improvement needed in UI like:
-
display what item player grabbed as it quite hard to be notice
-
make the food icon bigger on campfire (also quite hard to differentiate when multiple ingredient are same color)
