The Place I Called Home
I’m going to give this a “thumbs up” based on the story. Often painful to hear and without a cookie cutter happy ending, it is excellent.
My reservations are with some of the game design decisions and mechanics.
–I don’t understand why the hunger meter even exists. This is a game about a melancholy walk through difficult memories, how does the threat of starvation more effectively tell that story?
–Using the left mouse for the axe and “X” for interact is as intuitive as wiping your butt with your off hand. It can be done, it just feels wrong. You only swing the axe nine times. I would much rather click the mouse repeatedly to pick things up and use a random letter key for the axe.

i got this game for free to do a curator review on it and im going to be truthful. i came up with more major stuff when playing then the story plays out. its your basic pretty walk sim were you learn a small history on the girl your playing as. the story’s your basic tug your heart strings story that you can put into 21 notes and 8 small talking parts. sad that this stuff happens for people but i couldn’t give any care on this girl as was more expecting “o maybe this well happen or this!?” then “o nother note… and nother…. mk… 15 found… 20… and ok meh” at most its a time killer for something you could guess well happen at worst its 5$ tossed into a bin.

Journey
this game, is absolutely incredible. i cannot explain it. on my first journey my friend showed me where all of the cape things were, all of the pictures on the walls, everything. they saved me from the dragons in more ways than one, even after i flew right into the back of one of them, my friend came back and showed me a safer way to get through. they showed me how to speedrun the 4th or 5th level by spamming bing bongs and flying up, this is the only game ive ever felt compelled to write a review for. i thought we messed up when we froze, heartbreaking stuff. 10/10 will bing-bong with a stranger on the internet again

I met small fren, then I met many small fren, then met some bigger fren, then some not fren. In the end though i met A true friend in struggle. We helped each other. This game made me feel more bonded to anyone then any other game I have ever played. 10/10, 100/100. I cried myself to sleep. I got into this thinking, “Probably just an over-hyped game.” When I first started walking I noticed that the sound quality on the walking wasn’t good. Not of that mattered in the end, because art isn’t perfect, but for goodness sake’s if this game dose not come close to it.

Blind Souls
I like this game and the atmosphere in it.
This is what you need after a hard day’s work!
She soothes and the whole game process is like a meditation.

- Graphics. Traced details of delights me, it is so magical and beautiful, as if you are really on nature. Grass, water, trees, stunning views that one after another can be put on the desktop.* Music. It relaxing, but at the same time keeps you awake. The sounds of nature are really real and not sharp.* Gameplay. Very pleased that the game will not hurry you and you can enjoy as much as you want the surrounding nature. There is a fairly simple gameplay and maybe not everyone will appreciate it. However, drawing pictures while listening to the story and exploring the surroundings is very interesting and relaxing.

Catify VR
Cute, decently novel, but poorly scaled. You’re more of a mouse, than a cat. It seems like this could have been intended as a 3dof cell phone vr game. You could certainly pull it off as such, but I think it’s just for SteamVR. Don’t buy it until it’s on sale. At less than 3 dollars it’s a decent thing for a cat lover to add to her VR collection.
! I have a cat that is also purely black. I don’t know what kind of cat she is. She won’t tell me. https://youtu.be/1Ghrzuqn4tU

The Good
-You get to be a cat
-There are achievements to work toward
-The room looks nice
The Bad
-You are way too small to be a cat
-The movement is really weird
-Jumping is really difficult
-You’ll finish all the achievements in 15 minutes tops
-MOTION SICKNESS! Holy crap, I played this game for like 10 minutes and I feel like I’m gonna puke
2/10 barely had fun

ESCAPE FROM DOCY
Escape from Docy – it’s an indie game, where you have to escape from Docy, he is your enemy who is doing everything to prevent you from reaching the end or finish the game.
You can cheat him in a way, so that he can not reach you. All these you’ll understand during the game.
There are 18 levels. Going from level to level, the game is getting harder and you have to escape not only from Docybut also from his friends.
You have to be fast and nimble, be able to quickly orient how to escape from Docy, there will be many obstacles in your way,
It will not be easy, but you have to fight against all the enemies.
There are more than 10 mechanics that make the process of playing more interesting and enjoyable.
It is beautifully designed, structured in a perfect way and there are fantastic particle effects that will let your hair down. You will enjoy your time and feel like you are in your element.
All the other technics and rules you will understand later on while playing the game.
Enjoy it.
LOST EMBER
8/1/2020 EDIT: After the recent Minimalist mode, I’ve decided to revisit this review.
This is the most engagement I’ve ever gotten from a Steam Review. And it was me dunking on an incredibly talented team of creators. It sucks knowing that my highest creative achievement has actively held back purchases, and thus just compensation, to actual artists. With all that said, I want to see future games from Mooneye Studios. I want to respect their creative achievement with a fair review, rather than with apathy.

Recommended- with caveats.
The game has fantastic visuals. The environments are stunning.
However, at the time of this review, there are some significant bugs, such as clipping into terrain, possibly getting stuck in/on geometry if you morph back into the wolf at the wrong time or place, animals, plants, rocks, and other things floating above the surface (levitating when they should not be). Some random UE4 engine crashes, unknown what is causing them, no way to predict them.
An earlier bug that left the game running after you exited has been patched by the devs, but it means my total hours played is not accurate. (I bought the game on Launch Day, while the bug was still occurring). I estimate my actual playtime to be about 5-8 hours less than what is shown on this review.

Omno
I am legally required to mention the game Journey in any review of Omno. So here it is: Journey. The creative collapsed civilisation. The novel flowing ways of getting around. The faultless graphics. The breathtaking bugless scenery, the bizarre life-forms. Omno is not as good as Journey, of course, but nothing is.
You figure out things about the collapsed civilisation. You solve puzzles and complete sequences of jumps. The puzzles aren’t very difficult, and I never shouted “Well, how was I meant to guess that ?!” at the screen. The jumps are mostly a case of figuring out what keys to press and when. None of them require pixel-perfect positioning. You can’t die. If you manage to get into an unsafe position you are just warped back to the most recent savepoint, with progress intact.

Omno
A relaxing and a reflective journey through a lost civilization. An interesting array of creatures, the sumptuous soundtrack, and the colorful aesthetics make the trip worth the effort.
Omno is a single player, third person, exploration and puzzle adventure.
As a staff bearer it is your duty to discover and retrace your ancestors’ footsteps. Travel through an ancient world filled with creatures who respond to your command and release a life force you can harness and power. Collect enough resources to carry on your journey, along the way learning more about the past and the lost civilization which lays broken before you.

Our World Is Ended.
The Good: The overall art and aesthetics are really colorful and well designed, the music is surprisingly decent and fitting for most scenes in the game, and the UI is really crisp and well-designed.
The Okay: While the plot explores some interesting ideas with virtual worlds, it still got really hand-wavey with explaining what the rules were for the science fiction involved. I also wish the game did a better job conveying what choices to make in order to get the bonus endings. While it’s somewhat possible to figure it out on your own, it’s a lot more preferable to just consult an external guide. Also there were a ton of typos for the English text, but it was still easy enough to parse out the intended meaning.

“It’s an interesting Sci-Fi visual novel with vibrant anime artworks!”
Our World Is Ended . It’s a Sci-Fi adventure visual novel made by Red Entertainment & published by PQube. If my guess is correct, this is an upgraded version of what was originally released on PS Vita in 2017(Ore-tachi no Sekai wa Owatteiru). It is always welcome news that interesting visual novels can be launched globally. Usually, the localization of original Japanese titles is done because it is popular, has potential, or it matches the publisher’s vision. In this respect, Our World Is Ended is enough to attract the attention from anime games and visual novel fans.

RUNNER HEROES: The curse of night and day
Welcome to the newest Runner of 2020. A fresh take on the genre awaits you with mega platforming action! Our heroes, Lyssa and Colwyn, have been trapped in opposite times of day; Lyssa trapped in the darkness of night, while Colwyn is trapped in the light of day. You will be controlling both characters (unless you play in co-op) in a world divided in half by night and day, and the two characters will have to work together to beat the Red Witch and return the kingdoms back to the people. The Red Witch’s army is strong, and the world is full of pitfalls, traps, and danger; it will not be an easy journey defeating her. You will have some abilities to help in your adventure (in addition to your ability to move out or in on the playing field): Jumping, Dash and the use of Magic to help to balance your struggle with the Red Witch. Good Luck, adventurers; may your journey be as much fun as mine.

Wandering Through The Vines
I got the chance to beta test this game and help improve it, these are my thoughts.
First of all I want to say the art style for this game is really unique and pleasing to look at while your jumping your way across the levels.
On that note the character designs are really interesting and I have no idea how they were thought up lol.
The difficulty is quite enjoyable after you get used to the controls.
It’s also quite enjoyable after you beat a level ( feels like beating a hard Dark Souls boss ).

It is really difficult but enjoyable would be great as a game played with friends (taking turns it is only single player) or as a stream
The graphics are cool
I love the jumping mechanic it is very fun to have a touch sensitive jump so i can very its height. The controls are solid
I hope the dev keeps up the hard work. they have a cool vision that i really can’t wait to see come to fruition. I wish you the best of luck this game already has more potential than a lot of AAA games.
