Fool’s Paradise
Fool’s Paradise is a beautiful indie game. I liked everything about it: atmosphere, music, puzzles. I recommend buy this game. 10/10

This game…. in simple words.. painful. Unfortunately i thought it would be a fun indie game to checkout but after playing it for about an hour and getting nowhere I am calling this a bust. The camera and motion controls are lacking. Interacting with objects is awful. Its makes noises like you have done something but nothing occurs. There is no clear direction and although in most games that take that approach this is a subtle suggestion on flow to the story where as this game has not flow at all. Honestly its like painful. I don’t want to crush developers but in this case it needs some TLC. Def not trying again.

Kristallijn
I’m not entirely sure what I played. At first, it seemed as if I was playing a walking sim through a pretentious abstract dancing exhibit at some cliche abandoned building. There almost seemed to be some kind of suspense through out the game, as if you’re just constantly waiting for something to happen. The game itself is actually better than a lot of the lower grade games I’ve played. The strobe effects were a bit much in some spots (a unique kind of thing to have be the bulk sensory in a game, but it does mean that a certain percentage of gamers can’t play this game). My biggest issue was the story. I could definitely feel the game was trying to go for something but it kinda just fell flat. Even for an abstract game, I had to really think about what the ending could mean and I’m still lost and confused. Call me uncultured, but it was a bit too vague for my taste.

Honestly, a shocker from start to finish. The way this game manipulates lights and short looped movements is incredible. I adore the simplicity and how anxiety inducing this game gets, but the ending…hits too close to home. You get in such a loop of pausing and waiting for things to move and see where you need to go, then the ending breaks you out of that cycle and its just. 100/10. Cmon, you have 3 dollars to spare, just play it and experience the wonderful work that is kristallijn :)

TLDR: Orbit management game that punishes the player for interacting with the game. Play Rotastic instead for a more engaging derivative of this.
Orbit is a game in which a number of planets are on a map. Your little moon gets thrust in the general orbit of the first planet, and through unity engine physics you loop around said celestial bodies until you reach a fixed quota.
You can adjust the orbit orientation by… expending part of the mass of the moon, shedding some of it to change direction. The moon shrinks, which if not done very carefully, will guarantee that you will shrink out before you reach your quota.

Super fun game! Would recommend if you like a game that makes you thing about your moves every step of the way 10/10. The artwork in this game is amazing along with the animations that go along with it. The story is great and the adventure that it takes you on along the way. Hope you get this game and enjoy it as much as I did :')

Quick Description:
-A cute little flower saves the day in a grappling hook adventure! A few abrupt difficulty spikes aside, this is a fun and creative mini metroidvania that is well worth the asking price for fans of the genre.
What’s Good:
-Checks most of the boxes for what is expected from a metroidvania. The entire world is interconnected, there are several unlockable upgrades that allow you to explore once unreachable areas, and there are fun collectibles to be found.
-Really adorable art design and color scheme. Each biome has it’s own theme and color, along w/ new enemies and environmental hazards.

Deep Lake: Prologue
nice opening music. nice graphics. Story is okay- from what I can make of it. Bad translation in parts which made it hard to follow. For example the mc stepped in a ‘paddle’ twice and got his feet wet smh. I hope the later installments fix this. Might be pretty good if they do. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and thumb this one up, but if there’s no improvement, I’ll have to change my recommendation.

This is the first ‘visual novel’ I have experienced. It isn’t a game; you don’t make any choices. So, having gotten over that expectation, I will proceed.
Obviously a novel needs an interesting story, and this is interesting. I imagine it is better in Russian, but since I don’t understand a single character of Cyrillic, I had to make do with the English version. It needs some work. I was able to get the gist of what they were saying most of the time, but an important part of a novel, to me, is how the story is told. So in order to make this a successful English visual novel, they’re going to need to find a fluent Russian/English translator. Google Translate just doesn’t do it. You can’t use the word ‘defile’ when you mean ‘define.’ Two totally different meanings.

My Hole is a Mouth of Dirt
‘We lose ourselves in the things we love. We find ourselves there too.’ - Kirstin Martz
In this surreal psychological horror made in RPGmaker MV, Mole enters a tunnel complex under the premise he is being guided by God to complete a purpose during the ‘Endtimes’. Throughout Mole’s time spent down there we see him seeking out the Voice to direct him and, it is here, we see the mental journey being taken until Mole is finally ‘told’ what he must do by the Voice which is to bring a baby to Him. It is this task that enables Mole to confront struggles & overcome challenges in order to complete this Purpose.

I feel physically sick after playing this because of how involved I got and how badly the jumpscares got me, and I think this is worth a shot, however I do have some notes:
-
The speed: I get giving a run option would mean rethinking a lot of the chase parts, but it was kind of frustrating in some points.
-
The music: I’d never recommend lyrics AND writing you have to read and understand (it’s not accessible for many people), and some of the music felt particularly out of place - in particular, the jukebox was playing something too cheery. It was not bad, just weird.

Wooden House
For this review I will talk about my reviews.
I am none-native english speaker and I use steam review to practice my english. It generally worked out for me and I even have a few small review fans that like to read them. Which made me very happy. I feel bad that a lot of my spelling and grammer is bad but I don’t overly concerned to fix every single one of them because i am not selling my review for money.
This game however is selling for money on steam. Very well made small indie horror game by a none-native developer that put in a lot work for the enviroment, music, sound effect and terrible english.

GDNomad strikes yet again, with another really bad horror game.
Story:
You play as a man who wants to get away from every day life and decides to take a retreat to their new home, but after a night there you notice there’s some spooky things going on and that’s where the story kicks off.
The story is atrocious and is insanely hard to follow and you barely know what’s going on, because of the most notorious staple of GDNomads games, THE BROKEN ENGLISH. Pretty much every sentence written has poor english grammar that makes it hard to actually understand what is going on.

SOULBOUND
For starters, this is quite a linear platformer, not a metroidvania.
There big checkpoints indicating a shift in the “level” and sometimes mini checkpoints which you can get a save point. The goal is to collect three “souls” which act as keys for the next level. Without them, you can’t move on. So within the level you must pick up the souls and come back to the exit to move on.
There are no permanent upgrades. Just “powerups” to pick up with one time use like double jump. The problem lies with the time rewind power up. There was hardly a tutorial on it and when it expects you to use it, it expects you to use it the right way. If not, it doesn’t respawn again and your only option is suicide and restart from the checkpoint.

This game is decent but feels completely unfinished. I also have no idea why the controls that pop up are for controller.
This game is a decent puzzle game at best. It’s also 5gb for a small indie game which I don’t really understand.
The reason I say this game is unfinished is:
-
You can be shot by a guard after you already left the room, you jumped out of the room or their timer just won’t reset and you’ll be shot as soon as you walk back into a room with them
-
The jumping boots sometimes will just let you fall through the floor after jumping
