Batman™: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition
Anyone seen my Keys to the Batwing?
Sidescroller meets Batman! but how well did the mix go?…
This is the 2nd Game in the Arkham Series storyline. It is noticeably different in terms of gameplay and the players perspective when playing. This biggest difference to other games that this has, is definetely the Side-Scrolling Style. It is a 2.5 Dimensional Experience (Wrap your head around that!) -Basically mortal kombat 9..
The main reasons for the change are:
-Armature Studios (Known for Metroid) created the bulk of content here.

Ah, the spin-offs… Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you can’t avoid ‘em. There’s something popular? Publisher starts with all sorts of stuff to make more money from it. At the point of 2013, we’ve already got ourselves two Arkham games for mobiles (Arkham City Lockdown and Arkham Origins, not to be confused with the one we have here, in Steam), both of which were pretty much the same exact thing (some sort of touchscreen-oriented fighting games), but there was also this. A spin-off game for PlayStation Vita. You know… PlayStation Vita? A brilliant system that was ruined by SONY’s greed and stupidity? It was a pretty cute and powerful little beast, so… it was only logical for it to get its own Arkham game. Surprisingly, what we’ve got here is not… really a proper Arkham game. I mean, yeah, we’re talking ‘bout the portable system here, but like I said, Vita was pretty powerful and it was more than enough to provide us with proper Assassin’s Creed experience for example. Sure, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation was smaller and more limited than its bigger brother, but come on! It was a proper Assassin’s Creed. In your pocket. Here? It’s entirely different story.

Our goal is to utilize modern technology, techniques. and game design to “shake up” a nostalgic aesthetic. In DoubleShake, you’ll follow Loam as she investigates and grapples with the ensuing Chaos that threatens to toss her humble little island into total disorder!
My Father My Son
Only cooperation can save them
Together with two lost castaways, a father, and son, experience a thrilling journey through a dark, uninhabited island that isn’t on the map. Overcome a path full of logic puzzles and hidden dangers and help the family get closer to each other. Escape from this mysterious place and discover together with the characters what’s hidden here.
Control two characters alone or in co-op (1 player - 1 character), using either a pad or the keyboard. You can change the control method at any time. Take wise advantage of the differences between the father (strong and high) and the son (small and agile), which will make it easier for the characters to work together on co-op puzzles.

Nancy Drew®: Secrets Can Kill REMASTERED
Unimportant little Rant:
People really want to find any flaw they can with the Nancy Drew series. I have been playing this game series since I was about 5. I’m 20 now. I love the clunky art style, and like 12 fps you get when scrolling around, it’s charming more so than ugly. It gives me a feeling of going back to 2007 and playing these kinds of games all over again, when I couldn’t just find a review or guide to it and beat it in half an hour, but actually had to use the in-game books and phone for clues and help. I guess as younger and younger people start to play this series, they might not fully appreciate it, much like I don’t think I could fully appreciate an N64 game. With that being said, I hope whatever your opinion on the series, you will try to rate it based on the time it came out and not now. It obviously is littered with problems if you think about it from a 2021 perspective, but if you could imagine yourself back in the 2000s, this game was one of the better series coming out for the point-and-click adventure genre at the time. Now you have much better story games like LIS and most of Telltale Games’ series, but the Nancy Drew games to me still retain that old flair and charm of early 2000’s point and clicks.

ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED! :) :) :) :) For those who love playing Nancy Drew games, you are going to love this one, because it’s much better than the majority of the older Nancy Drew games. If you read 2 reviews I’ve made on 2 of the older Nancy Drew games (Treasure in the Royal Tower and The Final Scene), and read the problems that are in both of them, none of those problems are even in this one, because it’s actually a remake, that’s why it’s called remastered, it’s a newer and improved version of the original ‘Secrets Can Kill’ one that was made in the 1980s, so it has the feel of the older games, with a better story than the majority of ones in the newer games lately, but has the features of the newer ones, like:

The Feeble Files
I played about an hour and already got some real laugh, voice acting just great along with smooth animations and colorful detailed backgrounds.
Please note: being depressed is a violation of Directives 2 3 772 and probably loads of others as well.

This is a absolute MUST HAVE! Specially if you like other point and click adventures, from Monkey Island, to Day of the Tentacle, to Simon the Sorcerer, over to Kings Quest and so on ^^
The Feeble files in particulary is one of my best childhood memories in gaming. I love to feel this nostalgia.
Kinda funny tho, i just bought a Valve Index to play VR, now i want to play all the good old games.
Big thanks to the Devs/Publishers for bringing it up to steam after so many years. Much appreciated :)

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
7 / 10 (Critical) - Ridiculously underrated 2.5D platformer.
People compare this to DKC:Tropical Freeze and they’re right to do so as it’s very similar, including familiar composers, but it doesn’t quite have the budget of Tropical Freeze.
Better than the first YL game overall.
A blind 100% playthrough takes around 20-30+ hours_(in-game file time doesn’t match)_
Interesting & refreshing overworld progression with many puzzles.
5 Hidden coins to find in each level, and there are 40 levels excluding the Impossible Lair.
– Real player with 939.7 hrs in game
A solid platformer. Controls are responsive and there’s a nice variety of settings and stage hazards in the 40 (20 stages and 20 “alternate states” if you want to be specific) sidescrolling stages. A few specific things help it stand out though.
The top-down overworld is the first of the game’s Big Ideas. This overworld has you solving a bunch of simple puzzles between platforming stages, these puzzles shouldn’t give anybody much trouble but they’re quick and it helps pace things out. On the overworld tonics can be found, three of which you can equip before a stage, some have gameplay utility but most are just mildly amusing visual effects/filters that sometimes make the game barely playable (good luck seeing anything with GameBoy resolution filter), which takes some satisfaction out of finding secrets.
