Legend Creatures(传奇生物)

Legend Creatures(传奇生物)

It’s something like a card based version of DoTA / League of Legends.

You have a hero hierarchy in play, and get to select a few basic DNA cards, and when you get 3 of a kind, you can merge 3 level 1 cards into a level 2 card, and when you get 3 level 2 cards, you can get the level 3 cards, which are the ultimate cards in the game.

Here are the following attributes of each race :

Human Males : receive defense and magic defense buffs and share buffs with friendly cards

Human Females : receive +30% attack speeds

This is an auto battler, like in an “old school” way. The graphics at least. The English translation and some of the menu layouts needs work. I have not looked it up, I’m sure I can, well hopefully. But other than figuring out the main LOOP of this auto battler, I have no idea what most of the games menu’s say. If there’s another game mode, or way to unlock more items\creatures. I’ve still yet to randomly stumble across it. I paid full price to support their project. Certainly a little blind faith in that regard, lil bit of faith nonetheless.

Great little shooter with a fantastic retro soundtrack!!

I bought this ages ago, but only just played it properly.

I have heaps of games in my library that I haven’t played lol ,,, go figure.

It’s a difficult game, but definitely has that “one more try” quality about it.

The only thing is I couldn’t get my mouse to work properly.

It’s easy enough to play with keyboard controls, though.

Hope to put some more time into this one.

Recommended!!

Click Legends

Click Legends

Not a clone but greatly inspired by Clicker Heroes.

The main problem with this idle game is that there is too much RNG which makes your progression uneven. There are runs where you’ll reach lower levels than before with higher DPS.

Does not cost much but is not much worth either.

Click Legends is a small clicker and idle game that borrows some features from the first game of the developer “God Awe-Full Clicker” but this time it is without microtransactions.

The graphics are kinda simple and nice.

You level up your heroes but only up to Level 150 and then do a small reset on them to raise their damage. For that you need “Bloodstones” that you also need to prestige your whole game, so keeping some is a good idea, as they come quite rarely except for the Statue that brings sometimes some with it.

Deadly Days

Deadly Days

TL;DR: It feels like a beta version of what-could-be-a-flawless-gem-but-is-definitely-not-so-far: a fusion of Atom Zombie Smasher ’s commandos with mortality + more upgrades + field support, while fighting against Infested Planet -like enemies, and is mostly quite well done, so I kept trying to give it a go, but it has major experience-destroying issues outlined at the bottom, which were in my last daily run that just annihilated my motivation. Uninstalled.

There are games which you buy and enjoy every single minute. Then there are games which you get in a bundle but you would never buy it as a standalone. This one is the second option.

For a roguelite it has pretty brutal beginning. You can get disinterested pretty quickly. Once you force yourself to adapt to unintuitive controls and automatic attacks by your survivors - you will soon realize, that there is very little variety in enemies, objectives and (especially) locations.

The difficulty balance and balance overall is all over the place. You either feel powerful or utterly weak the next minute and your run is lost. The game gives too little time for area exploration and the constant zombie level and quantity increase - kind of ruins the fun for me completely.

Bullet Hell ADVANCED

Bullet Hell ADVANCED

this game looks great it sounds great it plays pretty good but I have some problems. The game is fun but when there are so many bullets on screen at the same time it is a little hard to see the enemies though I got used to it pretty quickly. the controls were horrible at least at first. It reversed left and right so it was hard to remember my directions while moving but you can swap the controls in the settings menu. Now my two biggest problems, repetition and game errors. so talking more about the “repetition” so when playing the game you have four unique secondary abilities and three primary fire choices. I enjoyed trying the different abilities but the primary fires are not great. the primaries called plasma and kinetic are the same or extremely similar I couldnt tell which. That leaves only two real options for primary fire hitscan or a projectile and I always use laser. The second major problem is the framerate dips(very uncommon but happened) while I have a high end computer may just be my settings though and the game crashing/freezing which really ruined my expierence though it never happened mid game. the game is fun but with all these problems I wouldnt recommend this.(edit this game has made many improvements since I reviewed it and I think its a whole lot better now I still encounter some glitches here and there but overall its a very good game.)

it is a very fun game, and very engaging. it takes a bit of time to find the controls, and needs a tutorial, but is fun once you get the hang of it. some functions I would add would be a high score, a multiplayer (that would be very fun) and for all the stray bullets that hit the enemies to do damage. once you figure out the containers that carry weapons, it can be very hard to grab the weapons, so maybe an asteroid or junk floating around the weapon to provide cover while picking it up? the game overall is very fun, but could use difficulty levels. I found myself not really ready for a hard mode when I didn’t really know the functions of the game. also switch the defualt a and d keys for left and right movement, it is confusing. I feel that too much of the game revolves around finding a good weapon at the start without taking too much damage, but once you get a good weapon, it is very fun. if you found some means to extend the game length, that would be awesome, because I always die once the big thing comes out (don’t know what it’s called).

Spelunky

Spelunky

At it’s core, Spelunky is a precise 2D platformer, with a very simple yet elegant scoring mechanic. Each level through which you descend is littered with treasure, and your objective is to get to the end of the game, beat the boss, and escape with as much gold as you can carry with you. This would get a bit boring if the levels were the same every time, so instead the layout of the platforms, items, and enemies changes every time you retry, although the four themed areas (plus one special, secret one) always appear in the same order. Interestingly, in this version, there is a daily challenge: a seed is generated and every one who attempts the daily challenge will play the same seed, and the scores are ranked at the end. Best I’ve achieved is twelfth in the world. Mind you, the disparity between my score and that of the person in pole position was enormous.

Spelunky is an exquisitely designed hybrid roguelike/platformer that is simple to learn, but very difficult to master. Often a single mistake from certain death, you must depend on your own skills and knowledge to progress through the procedurally generated caves, uncovering the treasures and secrets that lie below. Death comes often, especially to newcomers, but every death is a learning experience that improves your chances of survival in subsequent attempts.

Spelunky is a game that is simultaneously merciless and fair. Even with multitude of threats you’ll face, almost every death you experience is preventable and the result of poor judgment or a lack of skill. All of Spelunky’s mechanics and enemies follow a persistent and predictable logic, each element a tiny cog in a massive interlocking machine. Learning about the inner workings of Spelunky’s world is necessary to venture into the deeper reaches of the caves.

Vile

Vile

Vile is not really unique in the genre of roguelikes but it has its own charm that sets it apart. The controls are solid and the mechanics are fleshed out. What stands out most is the art style and the characters. Each character is a classic horror trope (ranging from generic vampire hunter all the way up to werewolf and Death himself) but each one is done creatively with different enough mechanics to merit a playthrough of each one just to see what play style fits you best. Personally, I preferred the huntress character until I was finally able to unlock death’s emissary (which is the final character you encounter). The enemies and levels are challenging without being infuriating. The souls you collect during a run are used to buy upgrades that carry over to all subsequent runs and the tech tree means that you just need a few more souls to give you the edge you need to beat a level.

Real player with 16.4 hrs in game

Vile has an interesting mixture of different elements which has been a fresh breath of air for me personally since transitioning from Enter the Gungeon. I really enjoy the fact that objectives and talents are inclusive in the core features of progression which certainly makes for a different experience overall.

The classic horror theme and gothic-like style of Vile is enhanced greatly by its wonderfully detailed art style diverse set of characters which creates a unique dark top-down experience.

Core Defense

Core Defense

Very well-designed Tower Defense game that also incorporates active elements (abilities which you can “cast” after a cooldown) and a random reward mechanism (“choose 1 out of 3”) after each wave of enemies.

This means that all upgrades and additional abilities/towers are basically randomized but you get to choose one out of a random selection (which still allows for a lot of choice), and the randomness is also tailored to what you already have,

so there won’t ever be a completely useless upgrade up for selection.

So adding a review after testing a bit of the new DLC.

The game is difficult, punishes small mistakes immediately and is addictive to a point. The amount of hours I have despite the lack of content beyond “now do it again but slightly harder” speaks to how quick it is to fire up a new game and carry on.

Prior to the DLC an update added a feature I’d been looking for to speed up to 5x so I could quickly go through waves where I don’t have to take an active part, but along with this patch the game has started to run very slowly. Not something I’d expect from something that looks like a decade old flash game.

Grand Brix Shooter

“A bullet hell game that’s familiar but never experienced before."

+ Point : Instant judgment, fine control, and your luck determine the whole play.

[1] Intro

Grand Brix Shooter. This is a hyper arcade shoot’em up game made by Intragames. The developer, Intragames has been primarily a game publisher so far, but they also have taken part in making the games. so this game is one of their in-house project games. One of the main developers said that his dev team stayed up countless days all night long to bring up the characteristics of original thrilling action arcade scrolling shooter. Developer effort and game fun aren’t necessarily proportional, but let’s take a look at what it is. ;)

I personally really enjoyed playing it. The game is very direct, simple to understand with a really reasonable price. I would definitely recommend the game to my friends. There is a leaderboard at the end, the scores from other countries can be viewed and that was one thing that made me play over and over again.

A great game that feels very rewarding without being a huge time sync. You can hop on for an hour or so and have a alot fun and actually make progress. The trick system play similar to the Skate series, where you use stick position and bumper combos to pull off a variety of tricks. As far as progression its rogue-like, you can only crash so many times in a run before you go back to start, although you will get cosmetic items based on points at the end of the run. There are multiple levels that you unlock, plenty of bike-parks to cut your teeth on and have fun with. Plus a very solid soundtrack to accompany you throughout the game. Worth the full price in my opinion!

If you enjoyed roguelike or extreme sports games, you will like this game. The game is just straight up fun. This is not a racing game, it’s a freeride downhill biking game. You can choose whether you played it safe or take the risk to do the crazy stunts you want to do. The developer is also constantly updating this game with new stuff like cosmetics or new bike parks or even a whole new challenges. This is really the best biking games to have ever existed.
