Roundabout 3

Very disappointed at this time. Currently there is NO infinity mode for ANY of the levels in the game. In R2 I could get lost in any level for half an hour or more, but now I feel sluggish. I know I only mastered (and near mastered) a few levels in this iteration, but soon I’ll have to put down the game because trying to high-score in this time trial mode is not my style. All I need is a button in practice mode to let me have it my way, but you decided to not implement it. Am I supposed to go back an iteration to NGs to have it my way?

Ludicrous Speed

What to say about Ludicrous Speed..

Its damn AMAZING.

Gamers want consistency, fluidity, functional controls, regular updates, and most of all, a challenge which grows with their skill. Ludicrous Speed seems to have all of these attributes present. I love that the player environments react to whatever music I want to play. Keep in mind that this game is still in its early stages, yet is still at the top of its performance in this genre.

Definitely keep your eyes on this one. I can see some sweet advancements in the near future. Regardless of which, Ludicrous Speed will not fail in providing hours of challenging entertainment.

Ludicrous Speed is VR infinite runner with hand swinging locomotion. Running, jumping and wall movement feels natural and exciting, but steering is definitely not my cup of tea. It uses controller direction and reacts even to small movements, which makes it very easy to accidentally trigger it while running.

Randomly generated obstacles have decent flow and levels overall look nice, just a bit too bright. In-game music suits the gameplay well and the environmental lighting pulsates to the beat.

Minimalist perfection.

You can only go left, go right, or do nothing at all. That’s all of the options you have.

This game pushes this minimalistic rendition of dodge to the utter maximum.

The game starts out hard and doesn’t get easier, but getting better at the game is incredibly rewarding. Your mistakes are always your own, your high score often just barely out of reach.

The game doesn’t ever let up in terms of ramping difficulty, but also doesn’t get tedious or boring.

You’ll first just have to dodge simple obstacles coming at you, then learn patterns to deal with complex obstacles, while the game just gets faster and faster.

Bad Rats: the Rats' Revenge

Bad Rats: the Rats' Revenge

Let’s make this clear. This game is my life. And no, this isn’t satire so grow up a little bit and understand passion when you see it. I have logged over 730+ hours and I intend to log thousands more. Not only do I play this game daily, but I put over 30+ hours a week into it at the minimum. If you can do math like me that puts it at about 4.28571429 hours a day. (no I didn’t use a calculator, I can do math in my head.) Anyone who is just staring out on steam should get this game. It’s cheap and user friendly. Not to mention is is only O N E dollar! That is incredible! I have gifted this game probably 10 times and I’ll do it again. I’m also a moderator in the Bad Rats discord, which I am highly proud of. I worked tirelessly to get that position and I think I’m close to getting admin. Anyways, no matter the type of gamer you are, Bad Rats is for you. Just don’t think you’ll ever be as good as me. Please give this game a chance to change your life like it did to mine.

Bad Rats is a revolutionary first person shooter that sets a new standard for this era of gaming. This is game published by Electronic Arts and is developed by Dice on the new Frostbite 4 engine to provide a superior graphic fidelity compared to other marvellous titles including Crisis 3. North Korea launches an overwhelming amount of long range ballistic missiles towards major metropolitan areas in the United States which devastates the population and cripples the infrastructure of the government to be able to function properly to contain control of the United States. North Korea launches a full scale aerial campaign on Seoul with a relentless wave of troops pouring across the DMZ of North Korea and South Korea. China and the rebuilt Soviet Union organized by Vladimir Putin has been supplying North Korea with highly advanced military technology and expertise has secretly been supporting North Korea for a war since 2006! Fan favourite maps return including Seige of Shainghai where you must collapse a skyscraper to kill all cats in the building. You have a massive arsenal of over 500 weapons to use with thousands of gadgets and gun camouflages. Each operation adds an extra layer of immersion into the game with a huge variety of community maps and skins to be added to expand the already masterpiece of a game. Bad rats is a very skill based shooter and requires extensive training to truly shine in multiplier. Remember when shooter games where gleefully unrealistic, uncomplicated, unpretentious, and thus fun? That’s what this little retro gem is all about. Well, that and fluorescent pink tanks and attack helicopters.

You get to blow up bad guys, cars, even buildings, you can ride vehicles and fly fighter jets, you can buy upgrades and become obscenely overpowered, and all while enjoying unabashedly 80s graphics and soundtrack. The game even has pretty decent replayability value.

I doubt you could find anything more entertaining at this price.

In a nutshell: RewindApp stole a free online game named Hammer 2 and upgraded it with synthwave aesthetics. It surely raises concern whether it’s acceptable for paying such a scam, but I hadn’t known it before my purchase, and for the sale price of 0,39 €, I had quite a good time with this game.

The game itself is a cheap GTA knockoff, the graphics are nice, the music is excellent. Quests are easy and repetitive (kill/destroy N things), vehicle control is a bit poor (except for drifting, which was cool), physics is irreal. Upgrades are not necessary, and if you want some challenge, avoid buying too much of it (especially Golden Gun, starter weapons, infinite ammo, god mode and jetpack), otherwise it will be child’s play and no fun at all. All 30 quests can be finished in merely 2 hours, the 100% completion (time limit, trophy score, secret package) requires about 2-3x more time, depending on the player.

Starkid’s Obstacle Course

Starkid’s Obstacle Course

I just want to start off and say that the game itself is fun and challenging. Every level feels very satisfying to clear, and the combination of a puzzle/bullet hell game makes it very skill intensive.

The music is also very good, the songs are really catchy, and you won’t mind having it play for a couple hours.

In terms of visuals, its simple and clean. The only problem I have with it is that every world has the exact same theme, which isn’t that big of a deal, but I think changing up the colours or something in each world could make the player a little more excited whenever they enter a new world, and it would help keep the game fresh.

Suprisingly well made game. I love the gameplay, and the developer seems to be active and wants to fix problems… What is there not to like? The game is pure fun, and even more so if you like challenge. The game is literally a puzzle game. (Developer reply basically spoilers one of the puzzles I had a problem solving) But solving it is not enough: You also have to execute that solved puzzle with tight, responsive controls.

10/10. Only con I can think of is the sound, as you cannot turn sound off in-game as the menu option seems bugged. Music can be turned down but it just fades into some ambient sounds.

This game’s surprisingly smart and catchy. Impressive how a single mechanic can be so interestings, it’s like a playing a sort of new tetris, one action to perform but to perform it really well or fail and restart. Price is very fair too.

I love when indie games are like this, a small but well implemented clean idea instead of shooting for the stars but with a confused vision of what they want to achieve.

Well done guys!

Does having more reviews boost a game’s appearance in the steam store? Because that is exactly what I want to do for this game. It needs MORE recognition. This is a short little gem of a horror game. I swear I spent more of the VN laughing than I did scared. It takes a lot of twists and turns and the characters are ridiculously nuanced for the game’s length. The art style is beautiful and the english is adorably broken. The broken english honestly makes the game cuter and more charming. It gives me vibes of DDLC but not to the extent that it seems like it borrowed a lot. It is definitely its own story in its own universe and I had so much fun with this little treasure!

Awesome game if u are a maniac killer: great soundtracks + great gameplay + a simple storyline + too much blood + 2D Pixel graphics = Awesome Mix!

Music is perfection, gameplay is solid, if a bit goofy at times, especially dealing with knocked down enemies and poorly placed doors that either block bullets, or don’t swing open all the way, blocking your spray. The story is enjoyable, but the music does most of the heavy lifting for setting the tone of the scene, which isn’t a bad thing, since every single track is a masterpiece.

The game runs alright for the most part, even on my potato of a pc, but the frame rate grinds to a halt on Push It, and if you’re on Mac, moving your cursor to the top of the screen opens your task bar, which freezes the game for a second, leading to some frustrating deaths.

What a super chill game. :) I love its simplicity and it captures the retrowave aesthetic really nicely. This is 1980s personified. You can also unlock a Tesla Cybertruck in the game. I’m dead. ✖‿✖

I really do love the synthwave genre sooo YEA, good sh*t. They really captured the feel by making your screen look like a VHS being played on a CRT TV which is cool, ya know. Sooo, you basically just drive straight in a carefully crafted synthwave environment avoiding cars when you can. That’s all there is to it. Once you get decent at it, you can switch your brain into autopilot and just 𝕧 𝕚 𝕓 𝕖 out. The music is really wow.

Updated from Negative to Postive

As of Update 10 the huge pop in issue has been fixed with the inclusion of “viewing distance” option.

To be clear, the pop in IS still there, but it no longer hinders gameplay & is now only slightly noticeable when using some of the faster cars in the 3rd person or cockpit views.

The music no longer cuts out after you crash, but does cut off for a second if you restart the level.

Full controller support has also been added now too, which pretty much goes hand in hand with a game like this.
