Battle Ram

Battle Ram

It’s a good game but I have some suggestions.

1. Maybe add a “are you sure” screen when you click the delete progress to prevent people accidentally deleting progress by clicking the wrong thing. Happened to me, not a big deal but it would be nice to have that.

2. Maybe some levels could be themed instead of just the usual level. Examples: Christmas (snow), Halloween, space, etc.

3. Add a level creator so people can create their own levels and beat them so that the game doesn’t get boring when you beat it.

In a very secret laboratory, the perfect weapon was being developed. And as a result of numerous experiments, scientists brought out a powerful creature - the Battle Ram. And now the ram must be tested at a military training ground. He has to fight robots.

So what exactly is Battle Ram? This is a lamb that runs around the arena. The character is controlled with the mouse. And all he can do is butt, he has no secret weapon. Actually, this is his main and only skill. The character runs around the arena, colliding with opponents. The musical accompaniment in the game is very cheerful and rhythmic. The game supports Russian.

Mystic Pillars: A Story-Based Puzzle Game

Mystic Pillars: A Story-Based Puzzle Game

Mostly on the easy side with some quite tricky puzzles scattered throughout. There is no real increase in difficulty, aside from some near the middle. I spent a lot of time stuck on a few levels while some others took barely a minute or a few. Good clear tutorial at the beginning. Not a huge variety in the puzzles but since it is only a mid-size game this is ok. Encourages you to think a bit counter-intuitively in some spots, which is good. The arrows on the one-way links can be a little hard to see, they could have been bigger.

Fantasy Quest Solitaire

Fantasy Quest Solitaire

Fantasy Quest Solitaire is an excellent solitaire game. It is refreshing to play a solitaire game that isn’t a grind fest. There are 100 levels, which is much more pleasurable than playing 200 or even 300 levels! All the achievements are possible without being an agony of playing the game over and over again like Fairie Solitaire.

It was a pleasant surprise to find Match 3, Hidden Object, and Jigsaw puzzle levels in the mix. I estimate about 20 of the 100 levels are of this variety. None of the levels are timed, which is a plus for me. A fun addition was collecting stickers for gold points throughout the game. The sticker drops were random but you will get them all.

Fantasy Quest Solitaire

An enjoyable, if rather easy, version of solitaire with a mixture of mini games and with just 100 levels proves to be shorter than most of the genre.

Pros:

👍 Relaxing

👍 Nice sounds and visuals

👍Meaningful achievements

👍I liked the fact it was shorter – It didn’t outstay its welcome.

Cons:

👎 Too easy for seasoned veterans of the genre

First Impressions

Fantasy Quest solitaire proves to be a polished and professional effort with great tunes, visuals and a variety of mini games to keep you busy for 8 hours.

Dead Man’s Draw

Dead Man’s Draw

This is very close. Another game I wish I could give a neutral rating.

Its a push your luck card drawing game with each suit triggering a different mechanism and along with your traits you can combine them in to more or less devestating attacks in order to collect cards that bolster your score.

Contrary to some of the reviews Ive seen nothing to suggest that the AI is cheating, it does pull off some last minute nasty moves at times but keeping my cool I can think back to the many times I have done the same thing. How much this actually matters is debateable, if the game makes you feel like it is cheating then whether it is or it isnt, the frustration is always real. I think this will be the biggest sticking point for most people, at first it may not be quite so apparent but as things go on you will see through to the luck component of the game increasingly easily and more and more you will feel robbed by complete chance regardless of how well youve played a hand.

Real player with 82.1 hrs in game

I really enjoyed this game, the rules are really simple to pick up, it’s fun to play, the characters are memorable and consistent in ‘who they are’ with the trait combos they use. The AI is really good and not overly cheaty, there were a couple of times I thought you wouldn’t keep drawing like that or you’d have had to have known that card was there to have carried on or to have played that card, but this didn’t happen often enough to make it a concern. It is incredibly fair the majority of the time.

Merry Glade

Merry Glade

“What has Bunny done? Why does everyone want to kill him? And why is Carrot so delicious?”

Well, seems that we have two main characters here! =P

This game isn’t really expensive - as I’m writing it’s discounted at 0,39€ - and it’s been all developed by one single guy, Russian I may guess since the only languages available in the main menu are Russian and English :P

Let’s start with the achievements - the whole game with its 76 little trophies takes about an hour to be completed, since all of them are related to the progression of the story and the ones that aren’t linked to it can be obtained just by touching all the mushrooms, dying in various ways and so on (yeah, lots of dark humour and blood xD).

Got a coupon for 50% off. Normally I ignore coupons for games because the vast majority of the time, they’re pretty stinky. I went ahead and bought this one, mainly because I have major nerve damage in my left wrist, and can only play games with one hand (I’m typing this review with one hand). This game is played exclusively with the mouse. I was sold.

Merry Glade is absolutely adorable and dark. Don’t be fooled by the cartoony appearance. Underneath the floppy ears and dancing mushrooms are buckets of blood, twisted enemies, and a wicked sense of humor. Gameplay is mostly about navigating puzzles to get to the carrot. Sometimes the carrot is surrounded by mines. Sometimes the carrot is a lie and will get you killed. Sometimes you’ll fight a bullet hell mini boss.

Ticket to Ride

Ticket to Ride

Ticket To Ride has been my favourite board game for about ten years now, and this addaptation is totally worth getting!

For those unfamiliar with the board game; the game has a perfect mix of luck and strategy, making each game challenging yet fun. Your goal is to finish destination tickets (e.g. New York to Los Angeles) by claiming routes on the board that eventually let you have a path going from one city to the other city on your ticket. To claim routes you need to collect train cards in the colours needed, picking your choice from the face up cards or the face down deck if no colours are available you could use. It’s pretty straight forward and you get the hang of it very fast.

Real player with 386.8 hrs in game

The PC adaption (and iPad/iPhone versions too, for that matter) of Ticket to Ride is a very faithful recreation of the classic board game, where the only gameplay differences between it and the physical version are fast and accurate scoring and the fact that enraged board-flipping is no longer a possibility. (Not to mention the bonus of the game + DLC being cheaper than their physical counterparts, and is significantly easier to play with people on the other side of the world!) So, for people who have played the board game before, I think this should be a no-brainer.
