ShockRods

ShockRods

The perfect fusion between classic arena shooters and vehicular combat; this game is both beautiful and fun. The amazing dev team regularly update the game with new maps and content, keeping things fresh. If this game can garner a larger playerbase, it’ll be recognized as a timeless classic.

Mechanum wheels let your vehicle strafe - do I need to say anything more?

Yes…

Bloodless arenashooter - possibly good if you wanna play something fast and fun with your lil spawn, if you have any, or maybe even if you are one your self.

Brings back simple fun of an old school shooter not unlike quake, unreal tournament, hldm or painkiller, without being too edgelordy or complicated with classes or rank-ups or lootboxes.

You can also forget your layed-back controller play-style with reflexes of an old grandma, who was in the war, but got hit by a car…with blades and spikes on it…driven by some crazy racer… in distopian future…

Rating: 10/10

This game is an absolute masterpiece, it will forever be S-Tier to me. It’s a competitive game solely based on who has better aim, cutting out the middle man like most games. Though old, the graphics and maps are very stunning and iconic. This game is not for everyone because it’s hard to master the different weapons, a lot of the players are top tier, and the game sadly isn’t very popular anymore, so consider all when buying.

Many people are looking for a fun, built-for-VR racing game that’s doesn’t require a wheel. Well here we are. You move the wheelchair just like in real life, and you can grab either wheel while turning to drift around corners. The surfaces matter too(you slip more on grass, etc), so that’s why I like to almost call it a wheelchair sim, hah. It ends up being a good workout! I’m into DiRT Rally (off-road racing), and this game gives me the same feeling of adrenaline trying to beat ghost times. There are multiple ghost players on the track with you, and they end up being matched to your skill based off of your best recorded time on that track, so it always feels competitive, even if the players aren’t actually there. Since the time I tested it in Alpha the devs have been active and listening to suggestions and they’re adding more tracks.

You should get a headband things like tennis players wear - those goofy looking things - that will keep you from sweating all over your VR headset.

Buy this game right now it’s ridiculous fun. The developer is great they love interacting with the players.

I’ve played this game since the release on mobile, and have put 70 hours into the PC version so far and I love it.

Sure it has it’s bugs, but remember it’s still being ported over from mobile and is still in early access. In my opinion, its one of the best/intricate drifting games on the market! Updates and patches are fairly often, and the dev team seem super responsive to problems and ideas that players have about the game.

The crates are a feature where in alot of games are a pay to win can still make you feel like youre getting robbed due to rarely getting anything good.

=======================================================================

Reviewing this game is kinda hard and reading the reviews most players have submitted is a little bit painful.

=======================================================================

  • What is my take on this game?

Most users have rated it P2W /Pay to win/ and I can’t qualify it as such a game. If you build a car from stock you will get a better car that money can buy pretty fast and by fast I mean you get cash and billions /the paid currency/ very easily. They are several levels of parts that when averaged also set the level of your car / I call them common, rare, epic, legendary and custom/. “Pay to win” cars are always “Epic” with the exception of 2 cars. You can already see why the game in my eyes at least is not “P2W”. Those paid for with real money cars can also not be setup to you preference as it goes to height, camber, caster and so on. What you paid for that’s all you get.

Windjammers 2

Windjammers 2

25 years later, throwing flying discs at your opponents is still as cool as back in the days. Sequel to the NEOGEO cult classic Windjammers, Windjammers 2 is the perfect mix between what you loved about the classic title and brand-new mechanics.

Fast-paced, strategic, easy to learn but hard to master: Windjammers 2 follows the steps of the first episode and brings back what makes the Windjammers series an amazing fun and competitive game!

New challengers, new stages, brand-new mechanics and awesome new power moves will make your head spin and enhance your windjammin’ experience. Master the slapshot, dropshot, the jump, the smash and the powerful EX MOVE, and enjoy the kickass soundtrack coming straight out of the ’90s.

Sophie De Lys

“Soyez prêts !” It’s time to meet the French fashionable fast and furious Sophie De Lys and her super moves. One simple advice: choose the right way to go.

Max Hurricane

With his impressive silhouette, the Canadian champion isn’t here to joke around. He’s ready to blow anything out of his way with only one throw. Klaus Wessel, you’ve been warned.

Jao Raposa

Absolute fan of Steve Miller, Jao spent his childhood in Brazil watching the original Windjammers’ own his opponents on the jammin’ court, and it’s now his time to shine. His best weapons? His speed and head-spinning throws.

Sammy Ho

Sammy is a very well balanced athlete. The Chinese player is powerful but fast enough to catch every frisbee that comes to him. Beware of his tricky shots! He’ll take the title away from you if you’re not careful enough!

Hiromi Mita

10 years later, you would have thought Japan gave up on the jam? Hiromi Mita is still around with her fast and tricky curve shots shots that will make you regret facing her.

Klaus Wessel

After a decade of hard training, Klaus Wessel, also known as the Colossus from Germany due to his powerful shots, is back and ready to show Max Hurricane who’s the strongest jammer alive.

Loris Biaggi

Swift, strong, versatile… the Italian Loris Biaggi is still the great champion he was back in the days.

Steve Miller

He’s agile and a natural at pulling off reversals along with tricky curved shots. He’s back to prove that he is still in the game.

Gary Scott

The extremely muscular American competitor is once again here to show to his opponents how powerful he is. Get ready to see one of the most impressive shots of the game!

Jordi Costa

The all-round athlete Jordi comes back in the game after 10 years of training. His clinical shots and his speed are the assets that can lead him to win the championship!

BattleCore Arena

BattleCore Arena

Very well-made game! Imagine Marble Blast mixed with Unreal Tournament stuffed into a sumo-ring… This is a recipe for competitive fun, especially if you love aim-heavy arena shooters such as Quake, CS:GO, and UT. Although this game is in Early Access and has a small player-base, it is worth a buy and giving it a try. The developers are HIGHLY active and aspire to continue to greaten the game, unlike other fun games that showed promise, but lacked a devoted dev team.

This game wants YOU! If you are poor and don’t want to pay for it, then hopefully you read this and copy&paste this steam gift key… Enjoy! ;D

This game is worth a shot if you are into arena shooters and want a new twist to it. There is tons of customization options which (in my experience) takes 15-20 or so hours to unlock it all. The game (at its current state) has no Micro-Transactions. However, Keep in mind that the playerbase is lacking and you will most likely be spending all of your time with bots.
