TOKYO WARFARE

TOKYO WARFARE

I bought this game right as I saw it. It has two of my favorite things mashed together. TANKS AND ANIME!

I quickly downloaded it and began playing it. At first I was kinda confused about the controls and it took me some time to get used to it. A tutorial would be great for first time players. It is very fast paced and the gamplay mechanics are for the most part playable. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS EARLY IN DEVELOPMENT! IF YOU WANT A POLISHED GAME RIGHT OF THE BAT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE INSTEAD OF TROLLING THE DEVELOPERS.

It’s not often I write a review, but this game is well worth it.

For starter, I just want to say that this game has finally sated that burning desire to drive a tank that Girls Und Panzer instilled in me.

That aside, this game has a lot of unique and enjoyable aspects:

+Destroyable terrain

Crush cars, blow up support pillars, knock over vending machines, even destory a poor, innocent Chibi statue. in other words, you get to be just a destructive as a tank should be

+Different camera angles

Desert Thunder

Desert Thunder

This looks and feels like a budget title. It’s not great, but you’re likely to enjoy while it lasts (which isn’t long).

This is an arcade action game, not a simulation, as proclaimed in the description.. It reminded me a little of the 2001 remake of Combat, released a couple of years earlier. Whereas that fully embraced its arcade nature, Desert Thunder takes place in a more realistic setting and maintains a SOMEWHAT more realistic feel. I would argue this diminishes replayability and overall fun factor. The games keep things moving pretty fast, slowed down just a lttle so you remember you’re controlling a tank.

Desert Thunder is an arcade tank game that will not interest many people. The software suffering from several gameplay bugs, we will very often rail against the commands, the lifespan being average we will complain about the speed with which the game ends and the set being ultimately of no great interest, we will really wonder why we spent a handful of money to buy this title.

Graphics: 4.5/10

A desert-like graphic environment through which dunes, cities, refineries or airports follow one another, a few enemies, a slightly overpowered physics of the soldiers, several effects of explosion and tanks or planes to fight. Still, the whole is average and without real flavor.

1. The pictures and the videos do not show the actual gameplay

2. Only one map available = boring after a while

3. Never working - more off than online - can*t get a match

4. Ususally at least 5 out of 7 days broken - if not more

So lets put this together - WYSIWYG does not apply here - you get lured into something completely different. There is no support at all from devs, they just ignore the issues it seems. Apparently the chinese version is far more advanced but not accessible from outside China. They cannot solve the issue which keeps knocking the game or map server out so you cannot play.

Don’t expect much and it’s ok. It is FTP and even if you spend money, it’s not a huge advantage from what I have seen so far. I have seen some gold ammo that has the same effect as silver ammo, why buy it. It run’s laggy and seems buggy. Some parts are hard to figure out due to bad english, no english or just chopped off thoughts. The helos are a cool touch and can be game changers. Arty are way under powered. Seems they were trying to steal a hybrid from AW and WoT. To be fair this game can be really good, if managed right.

PS1 version with a weak sauce emulator. I can’t possibly recommend this.

ok full disclosure, I played this game on the PS1 years ago. so Its all nostalgia for me

The controlls are little old school with turning and forwards and backwards movement the only way your tank controlls.

The music is old, the visuals are dated but what can you expect from an old game like this?

The game seems to be running on some form os PS1 wrapper software. Its clearly compiled for the windows envirsonment but you can clearly see references to the memory card.

The start screen just has full screen mode, resolutions (sort of) and music.

Stay Alive On The Tank: Explosive Shells In The Darkness

I like the destructible map online and a coop mode where you should protect the base from enemies. Good game to have a fast paced pvp sessions with friends. Lol trees explode when you punch them and sometimes I was able to launch my tank into the air)

No other players online

and there’s like one game mode that lets you play with AI

so can’t really say its worth the price

Would be fun for about an hour with friends

This is where i learned what happens if you send 4 goons in tanks to fight skynet.

I dig tanks.

I started digging VR.

I deff dig this.

The trailer looks really uninteresting, while the game itself however just pulls you the fuck in.

Usually it’s the opposite when it comes to games that Trailers looks more impressive.

I bought the game with low expectations, but i can really dig this, it’s a actual VR game i come back to, other VR games last like a few hours, 2nd day in however and i hit 11 hours.

Battlezone is a solid, fun game. It looks great, runs smooth, doesn’t have significant bugs. It’s seated VR, you control your tank with gamepad. Gamepad controls work great and feel responsive and accurate enough.

The unlock progression doesn’t feel like a grind. The unlockable tanks offer mostly specialization, so they’re not required. Weapon unlocks aren’t random, they unlock based on secondary mission objectives or achievements listed in the arsenal. Weapons require varying amounts of skill to use, but not overly much so. None of the weapons feel useless, while each having a specific use case where they’re the most effective. Likewise for the special abilities, it only takes a short while to learn knowing how it works and when to use it, but then they’re all useful.

Flank That Tank!

Flank That Tank!

A nice and fun little game that doesn’t seem to get any attention at all and it certainly deserves at least some.

Pros:

  • Surprisingly good keyboard controls for 360 degree back/forward movement.

  • Agressive AI with bullets flying fast enough you actually have to think before you’ve been shot at.

  • Destructible environment is fun in any game, and when it involves tanks even more so.

  • Five difficulty levels that actually significantly impact difficulty, so more replayability.

Well i played this for a while and found it very addictive game as if you love tanks as i do then this game is right up your street i found the graphics is very good for this type of game and i like the idea of completing missions so to get money and cards to build and improve your tanks.

The sound is very good too and i am not getting any issues with this game as some has stated with online play.

when i say it is addictive game i truly mean what i said as you will need to be prepared for many sleepless nights when you get into this game.

Straight off the bat… Yes and No, that I would recommend this game.

Yes, because it’s incredibly fun in the way that you can make your own tank look with what they have, meaning you can make a tank so small but super deadly or a tank so obvious and pathetically weak and it will still be a good time.

This is a matter of opinion, but the game is quite glitchy at times, and it’s pretty fun when it happens. One time for me, I was driving on a free-roam map and my tank just clipped through the floor, which there is water underneath, but instead of drowning, I was just driving on the floor. Sometimes I’ve also been able to drive half above water and half below… which makes 0 sense but I’ve been able to pull it off sometimes… and it’s wack.
