HitBox
I’ve waited for 3 long years and here it finally is:
a decent 4 Player splitscreen Shooter for Pc
And that’s all I use it for, so this review will be based on playing with gamepad couch coop only.
pro’s:
-
interesting maps (I love Hangar and Train Station)
-
4 Simple classes that differ in dmg, healt and weaponary (pretty balanced, the tactican might deal a little to much dmg)
-
simple graphics; you always know who’s friend and who’s foe
-
a lot of changable options; like the distance you zoom to your character, motion Blur (I’ve turned it off btw), the controll

I remember when I got this from a bundle 3 months after of release.
(March of 2017)
It was lagging like Hell, and actually no one was online to play with.
3 years after, 2020.
Gone to F2P a while. (couldn’t even survive a year)
I have a more capable PC, so I can play with it.
But it’s almost the same playerbase. Zero.
If you have friends on Steam (or even real life ones, damn!…) you may enjoy this game for about few minutes, but not more. With bots, even less.
You got 10 map and 4 modes.
King (which is deatmatch), Team Deathmatch, Hero and Supercharge, which is kinda CTF but not.

3..2..1..Grenades!
Wow, this game is actually a ton of fun. Its got a lot of little things about it that remind me of playing an old N64 game. The music sort of reminds me of like diddy kong racing or something. A lot of the sound effects are very N64 sounding. Even the quest mode or campaign reminds me a lot of maybe super mario or something. You go around collecting golden grenades which you then use as sort of currency to open doors to other levels to then get more grenades.
There is no online multiplayer so if thats what youre looking for then maybe turn back now but honestly ive been having a blast by myself and with some friends locally. All the game modes are multiplayer as well. Kill eachother all day or team up against the bots. Speaking of the bots, they are quite smart and pretty good at the game.

I reviewed this for Two Credits. You can find the full review, the score I gave it, and some cool screenshots from my time playing here: http://twocredits.co/review/3-2-1-grenades/
Summary:
3..2..1..Grenades! has provided me with some of the most pure fun I’ve had in a game all year. It is fast-paced, hectic, and requires a different skill set than many other first-person shooters do. It also boasts somewhere around twenty levels, which is quite a lot more than many of its competitors, some of which have multiple layouts, and a large number of rules that can be modified. The only thing that is holding this game back from being an instant local multiplayer classic is that it is a first-person shooter with a dual-stick control scheme that may be difficult to play for those that aren’t particularly adept at moving with one joystick and aiming with the other. Other than that, the game is one of the best of its kind, which is perhaps largely due its uniquely limiting premise.

Hoverloop
Fun game to play against friends. Pretty fleshed out already for an Early Access title and you feel the dev is committed to bringing a fine product!
Needs some more polish and a bunch more active players to get an online community going, but I definitely see the potential!

Hoverloop Early Access Game Review
Hoverloop is a “multiplayer split-screen arcade arena combat” video game developed by Not A Company. This studio consists of 2 people, Philippe Mesotten and Lars Driessen. Hoverloop was successfully funded on Kickstarter, and you can check it out on Steam here.
Premise
In Hoverloop, you control one of many customizable drones, each with its own special ability — similar to an “ultimate” in a MOBA — to help ensure victory. On each in-game stage, there are various item pick-ups to discover to further increase the edge over your opponents. Additionally, there are a wide variety of game modes to choose from to keep the game fresh.

ShiroKuro’s Adventure
Full 100% play through here: https://youtu.be/yYWNYHEWwwo
This is a pretty short cute game there’s not much to it, but it’s pretty entertaining. I wish there was more to the level up system besides health and attack power like abilities and what not. The game gets pretty challenging when you get closer to the end and have to do your best not to step on the wrong tiles. I really feel like the dodge mechanic pausing after the dash is complete really took a lot away from the game that could have made it more fluid and fun if it allowed you to move immediately after the animation completed. The Final Boss at the least should have his own sound effects/music he looked pretty silly finger waggling to the happy go lucky music you’ve listened to the whole game. Overall though I think it was worth the $3.00 it definitely takes some getting used to and the mechanic of controlling them both is challenging/fun to learn.

Alien League
This game is so much fun! It is a really good party game to play with friends. It has cute graphics, the controls are simple and it has great replayability due to the large amount of minigames.
It is only local multiplayer but me and my friends play online using Parsec Gaming and it works like a charm.
I definitely recommend getting this game.

A solid entry in the steps of Mario Party.
The Nintendo social experience on PC
The party games era on PC started with 4-Player arenas trying to recapture the thrill of Super Smash Bros, then later on indie games tried to recapture the fun of the Mario Party series. At first it was with mini-games only, but now a few of them are appearing with the board game layer on top. Alien League is one of those.

Asteroid Arena
Asteroid Arena is a player vs player, space ship battle arena, where you gather up your “friends” and have fun shooting around in an asteroid field while trying to be the last ship standing. World is shrinking, time is running out and you need to find the other ships, weapons, protection and boosters before the others find you!… Or just hide in a nebula cloud until everybody else have destroyed each other.
The game is played with 2-4 players either on the same computer (with split-screen) or on different computers by inviting your Steam friends.
For playing on the same computer it is highly suggested to use gamepads as some keyboards have limitations on how many keys that can be pressed simultaneously.

Looks like good game not developed good enough. First menu seems very console like, no mouse interaction possible. That shouldnt be aproblem though. A problem comes up, when you start playing - I can hear various nefarious activities going on, but all I have is black screen and some numbers on top. Is there some undocumented dependencies for Linux? I would not like to get money return, rather a goodlooking game functioning at least for 90%, not like 5% as of now.

Dark Data
Absolutely awesome game. Old school retro Golden Eye multiplayer inspired goodness, local splits screen up to 4 players, bot support, atmospheric music, cool guns, multiple modes to choose from. One of the best thing you can pop up at LAN party. I highly recommend it.

A boxy throwback to 64-bit couch 3d shooter deathmatches. Plenty of character customisation, weapons, levels and modes to play with, and some bots in case you have no friends or controllers or both.

Space Fighter
Space Fighter: Mark I… Is pretty fun it has alot of good elements to it and the graphics are not to bad for a free game… but the music has to go, the music is so bad that even hearing it makes ya go deaf, but luckily you can disable the music. only down side is that i wish there were more ships and that you could paint them or somthing (I know it is a small game but it would still be nice) so if the creator is listening (srlsy doubt he is) it would be nice for more ships, and different music! Peace Out.

I don’t why people have left such bad reviews for this. It performs beautifully and the controller controls are good, despite what other people have said. For Version 1 it offers a lot, including 4 classes and two modes. Yes I do find it hard, but in a good way, as I adapt to actually having full 360 degree control. Sure a tutorial feature would be nice, but I think this game aces it for the Free to Play category. VR support could add major features, and a LAN or online server option would be nice, but I think the split screen does it for me.
