A truly bizarre game that attempts to capture that 1980s console and arcade feel, Pixel Poops! A truly **** game, literally…

Replying to

Pixel Poops is developed by Mostly Random Games, and published to yyrGames, and became available on STEAM on the 20 Feb 2021. The game is free but with optional DLC that looks to mimic the styles of the C64 and NES. The free version of the game has an Atari 2600 feel to it.

The premise of the game is simple. You have a problem with the joggers! Joggers are happily jogging across the local park trying reach their fitness goals. But armed with the healthiest metabolism the world has ever seen you’re going to put a stop to that!

This is one of the fastest and most relentless twinstick shooters I’ve played! There are a lot of levels, powers ups, and enemy types. I especially dig that each level looks very unique and has its own layout.

Staying alive can be difficult, but the game doesn’t penalize you much for dying. Scoring is way more important than surviving, and you are encouraged to collect score multiplier items as quickly as possible even if you have to die to do it.

I love that the power ups get dropped out of little cars that drive across the screen.

Alien Death Mob is a brutalist construction of the twin-stick masterworks before it, which it smelts and reforges into a true arcade experience recontextualized for the home computer.

It asks you not to “win”, but to “shoot”. It asks you not to “finish the level”, but to “get points”. When you get points, you collect stars. With stars, you can play new levels. That’s the foundation of Alien Death Mob, a lovingly crafted showcase of the purest, hardest, most transparent materials with which a game should be made.

Full disclosure, I know one of the devs and even helped to game test it a bit.

But with that said, I’m going to try to be as unbiased as I can with this review, this is both for the consumer and the devs.

With this out of the way, let’s jump into it.

Grimrush is a bullet hell, boss rush game. There are many different bosses and 3 character classes.

Each character has different abilities and stats, catering to any kind of playstyle. I found myself personally changing classes quite often, depending on what kind of experience I wanted at the time.

NeXus: One Core

Fast-paced neon arcade game which is extremely addictive, has very fluent and simple yet unique gameplay and you can choose your 2 favorite colors (in my case it is yellow and lightblue). Soundtrack is absolute fitting and awesome. Sad part is that it is not getting the attention it deserves. Absolutely recommended.

I’m usually not a fan of runners but the aesthetics, trailers and core concept got me hooked, especially the co-op mode. Hope it gets online at one point.

This game is very challenging, I’ve been playing for quite a few hours and I haven’t unlocked much of the content… Feels good to actually feel like you’re actually beating the game. It can get really crazy at times, the feeling of speed is great.

Controls are fluid, I fond them a little stiff until I found out you could change the sensibility of movements. Actually, there’s a nice amount of customizable content, from the ship to the colors used for the force fields, the music played, controls… It really feels like the game is giving you enough tools so that you can face it fairly.

You’re a skydiving, video-streaming guerilla artist in the floating city of Boston High. Your job is to leap from buildings, cause mischief, and not get caught by the police.

A Grab Bag of Incredible Features

  • Leap from mile-high skyscrapers.

  • Kiss the sides of buildings with your mouth.

  • There’s, like, a parade with giant balloon floats on one level, and you can smack into them, ruining everything, just to be a jerk.

  • Also, there’s a level with a giant 4-story cake that you can topple over hapless spectators.

  • We’re experimenting with a thing where you’re also able to break the city’s wastewater storage systems, but you’d kinda have to be a double jerk to do it.

  • Over 0 levels included in the full game!

  • 0 weapons, unless you count the spray paint you use to tag windows.

  • Unique, challenging, and other meaningless adjectives that every game uses to describe themselves.

  • How many bullet points do you want, buddy?

  • ‘Cause here’s another one.

Did You Know?

  • This is our follow-up to the original, award-winning series.

  • The original is in the Guinness World Records for longest word in a video game title.

  • It also broke Steam because the title was way long.

  • And it won a bunch of awards. Some, for publications and conventions that don’t exist anymore. Ten years is a long time.

Dangerous Blaster

Dangerous Blaster

Introduction

Dangerous Blaster is a simplistic shoot em’ up, intended mostly as just to practise your aim and reflexes before playing a match of CS:GO or some other intense shooting game (Idk, CS:GO is the only one that comes to mind at the moment) (TL;DR Below)

Gameplay

This game challenges your reflexes and aim as much as possible, with simple mechanics to encourage you don’t miss any shot that you take. With every shot that you miss that hits the wall, it will turn into a projectile that can damage you as well as spawning projectiles to keep you on your toes. Ultimately you only have a single life, so taking damage will end your current score and make you start over.

This is a fun little game that can already be addictive with little play. With the steam achievements, makes you want to push yourself to be the best to get that high score! I drawing of the characters and enemies for the game just makes this work.

“if your looking for a game about popping pills, then you probably might need help, but this game is really fun arcade score attack and I’d advise considering this game.”

This game is intense, no doubt about it. Its a simple mechanic, of two coloured pills each level. You can switch colours between the two and match to maximise score. Although im not a big fan of dubstep, the music is still impressive and well done, I do like the way the colours compliment eachother and the way the levels ramp up makes the game really hard. The powerups are fun and interesting and overall the game is impressive.
