Monster Master

Monster Master

FPS heroes versus RTS horde. An asymmetric multiplayer where 1 player spawns the different monsters, and 3 class-based fps heroes try to survive it.

The game is set in to the small town of Kingsfield, where an energy research facility has given birth to a cosmic horror entity called the monster master.

Players can choose to control and mutate the monster horde or survive as a group of class based heroes with unique powers.

The hero perspective is a thrilling unscripted experience where the monsters feel very intelligent. It suddenly is very quiet and you know “It” is planning something.

You get a super cheap price (or free if you download from their main site) for a massive gameplay content with potential to be even more in future. Map is completely free-roam you can hook or jetpack your way onto anything, build anywhere, place any soldier or vehicle everywhere, drive or enter any emplacement or vehicle, even a mega robot. Personally fight the war in a front line or act as a commander and use map feature to command your troop in basic RTS style. Furthermore they have included toybox mode which basically allow you to create your own map and adding any little props or detail however you want, giving an unlimited idea to expand replayability map with community help via workshop feature.

This is a fun game to play. I hope to see more content later on, in the future. Maybe a terrain manipulator tool would be a good idea, so we can be more creative. I Also hope to see some game logic tools as well. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to implement, a player level pallet, so when the player completes a level, it go’s on to the next level, that the player has made. More map props i think are needed. A much needed level variety I think would be good. In the map maker, I think it would be nice to have a clear all option, instead of individually deleting every map prop. I think the camera needs to be fixed, when going into buildings, makes it hard to give commands to units when the camera floats into the ceiling. It would be nice to be able to spawn unites inside on buildings, instead of spawning them out side of the building, then having them follow you inside, then having to fight with the player’s camera. But over all the game is very fun, it brought back childhood memories, like Army men 3D, Army men world war, Army men air sea land, Army men RTS, Army men Sarge’s Heros 1, and 2.

I played the game a few hours now and what can I say, the game is awesome.

Switching between first and third person is a lot of fun. You can command and build from the air. and on the ground you can really fight along with the soldiers, it’s cool. I’ve rarely seen anything like this in VR games. The graphics are good and the atmosphere is really great, like a first C&C in VR, and there’s a little story too. It also runs very smooth on my old PC, but I had to reduce the graphics. For the price really good fun and I can absolutely recommend it.

Sorcs: Siege Chronicles

Sorcs: Siege Chronicles

I have played it for a few hours (I’m at stage 7 right now), and I’m really enjoying it so far.

I like that the game is not easy, you have to be strategic on where to put your towers, manage your resources (decide whether to put your villagers to farm wood or crystals, or send them to a new tower), and also go to the first person shooter mode to help with the damage (FPS mode is critical at the beginning of each stage).

There are some improvements that you can unlock with points you get when beating the stages depending on how you did (it helped me re doing some stages at 3 stars for extra points) .

Very nice game! As a casual player I’d say it is a great game to spend some of my free time. It’s entertaining and with a great amount of content to keep your fingers busy until you get tired of clicking. I love the music also :)

Garden Of Mooj

Garden Of Mooj

Garden of Mooj is a monster farmer simulator where you raise cute little slime monsters called Mooj. You find different types of food and feed them to your Mooj and it will train their stats in different ways. Every night even scarier monsters come to try and destroy your Mooj statue and you must defend yourself using the Mooj you have raised. Once you train your Mooj, their abilities can unlock gates to allow you passage into new areas, as you make your way across the world trying to save it from a mysterious enemy. Mooj is fairly similar to games like Slime Rancher and the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure, and was a lot of fun. The game also has a really decent jazz/easy listening soundtrack.

Real player with 19.6 hrs in game

I find this game strangely addicting and loads of fun despite how simple it is.

Its a good game for just not worrying and getting a good chuckle and you can make your mooj fairly different.

Pros:

Relaxing

Silly and cute

Addicting

Cons:

it can be a bit buggy

its not entirely clear on what to do

could still use more to do(personal bias)

Road Gangs Simulator

Road Gangs Simulator

What’s Up Homies?

Do you sometimes think about the old days, when, as a kid, you were running with a piece of wood trying to ‘shoot’ your opponent, while you were hiding behind your neighbour’s car? Planning your own gang, acting like adults while smoking invisible cigarettes to add some seriousness. In Road Gangs Simulator you have a chance to fulfill your unrealised childhood dream, not only by driving fast cars and shooting each other with your enemies, but also by building your own empire!

DEMOLITION MODE

Don’t wanna hurt anyone but feeling like you could kick some asses? Grab your baseball bat and crush someone’s car. The game will let you destroy every car with the REALTIME DESTRUCTION SYSTEM! Every weapon will affect the system in a realistic way - you won’t be able to destroy wheels with the baseball, in order to do it you’re gonna need some ranged weapon, or a knife.

VARIOUS CONTROL MECHANICS

In the game we have an opportunity to control each member of the gang, his equipment, and also his actions. Do you like some good old RTS games? Then pick your squad and rush into a battle with the top down camera, and give them orders on how to defeat your enemies. If you’re not into RTS genre then you will surely enjoy picking one of your gangsters and controlling him with the TPS or FPS view, while the other crew’s members will take your back. You will get an opportunity to dynamically switch controlled characters - if you lose someone on a battlefield, no worries, just take the control over a next person.

CREATE YOUR EMPIRE

Every district you own have it’s advantages - one may have many car dealers to buy them cheaper, the other one will have a big bank which you can easily rob while having the control over surrounding buildings. If this is not enough you can expand every district with your own buildings - create gangster’s den to train your new crew’s members, build an armoury to provide your gang’s unlimited weapon and ammo.

TAKE A RIDE

Do you know someone who doesn’t like muscle cars, or classic japan sports cars? No? We neither, this is why we push many beautiful cars into the game, just to let you spend this dirty money you will earn by assaulting people. Stock cars are not enough? Of course they are not! Go into a garage and pimp it how you like, change body kits, wheels, paint them and create a dream car. Already made a car? Then just go and ride it on roads in this gangsta city - let every citizen know what you have made there!

MISSIONS

Your main goal is to take over the city. In order to do it you will have to face some enemies' gangs, earn some money, or just get some respect. During various assignments there is a possibility to do a bank robbery or to fight opposite gangs in the middle of a day. If you’re more like a pacifist, you can just swag in your pimped car so everybody’s gonna know who is the boss on a road.

CREATE YOUR STYLE

You’re a gangster, you have got to look like a one. Pick the best outfit out there, make yourself a badass looking guy, but be careful - your colors should match your gang’s colors, otherwise you can be considered as an enemy on the battlefield!

Cascading Failure

Cascading Failure

A solid RTS/FPS hybrid that forces you to consider the environment when tackling any objective. The variety of assets you have will have you toying with various strategies in the game like occupying buildings that oversee an entrance to an objective, or setting up a defensive line of turrets, or even hunkering down with a massive heavy walker. You also have a bit of a tech tree that you unlock with points you earn in the game, most of it being weapons that you can equip to certain soldiers or bring in yourself.

Real player with 145.6 hrs in game

TLDR: A really unique combination of a FPS and RTS. The game currently offers two different game modes: A horde mode (“Wave Defense”) and a skirmish mode (“Assault”) on several maps (Single player or co-op online up to 4, PvE only). As well as a training course with a shooting range to try all the different weapons out which can be unlocked for the main game modes by playing them. Overall the game feels quite polished in comparison to what I have witnessed with other early access game on release. It is nicely playable and offers definitely enough fun hours to be worth the reasonable price it’s asking. I can especially recommend the Assault mode in Co-Op :)
