Ghoul Castle 3D: Gold Edition
Only played a bit, but it reminds me of the original King’s Field game for the playstation that came out in 1995 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King%27s_Field_II ) which I have always been nostalgic for. I really wish more games like this would come out that were a little more nuanced.
Regardless the fact this game was made by one person really impresses me. I would love to learn how he made it.

Affliction
For me this was a very interesting game, for several reasons. This is a game guru game and as such includes all of the downsides of making a game in such a primitive game engine. This includes loading screens that crash rather frequently and take plenty of time to load (even on an SSD). And Lots of in game glitches (one glitch i noticed several times was where the game “deep fried” my screen). But despite these shortcomings, this may just be the best game guru game i have ever played (and that’s taking into consideration i have played hundreds of them)

This review is subject to change, so do not take it as a final score.
Story: While far from complete, the notes left around the game write a pretty morbid one. The horror elements are more in these than anything else. Granted, the horror in this is more about the evils within men than the horrors of the monsters. I would go into detail, but that would be major spoilers.
Soundtrack and sound effects: The soundtracks fit the theme of the game well, helping to build on the intended atmosphere, and the soundclips accomplish the goal there were meant to. May need some fine tuning, but they are not bad.

The game is fun. The Graphics are nice. You can remap your keys and there are a lot of setting for the graphics. Just one question. where are the maps? I can only play one map, the tank map. In your game video it shows more than one map. There are some menu bugs. Also I find the run speed a little slow it would help to pick up the games pace if the run speed is faster. There is also too much recoil on the guns. But all and all the game is pretty good. I would recommend this game to others but not just yet. Hopefully these issues will be addressed. For the price it is worth it if it becomes more polished.

The Outer Worlds
This is a well-made RPG which reminds me of the better days of this genre, when narrative and decision-making were the focus instead of meaningless fetch quests. The story is engaging, and the game does let you make several meaningful choices, not only in the main story, but in the various sub-stories, in the companion quests, and sometimes even in small side-quests. Each of your companions bring a fresh outlook and react differently to the decisions you make. While the skill trees are nothing special, and combat can be a little repetitive, the game scatters a lot small interesting details and lore bits around the world that allows the player to overlook these deficiencies. The world is beautiful and incredibly colourful, a much-welcomed variation from the hyper-realistic landscapes that are common to the genre. The game’s political narrative is also presented with great subtlety. While the social reality of this world is very apparent and omnipresent, the game never preaches the morality of it, and allows the player to choose their own standing.

TL;DR - Okay, but not as good as New Vegas
Solid RPG. Very nice quest line stories, with some really tough choices.
There is some charm and interesting world building, but mechanically it is a bit uninspired.
There are a range of guns and armour available, but they are almost all available from the start and there’s little reason to switch away from your favourite pea shooter. There are only a handful of mods for weapons and armour feels like they gave up designing them halfway through.
Resources such as gun parts, weapon parts, money, food, and ammo are so abundant, they might as well not be there. Same too with weight capacity.

MY TIME ALIVE
A valiant effort from Barty Games and by far his best game yet…
Right now at launch it’s a C- in my book but it could be a B+ or even an A… if he makes several pretty simple changes to his game.
SPOILER WARNING (Only watch about 30 minutes of this video if you don’t want to be spoiled of the story and how it all ends)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_iVvnVgDkk&t=82s
Brilliant end game gameplay however and I give Barty HUGE props for his creativity and open mind for the way the game changes things up the last part of this game!

To be honest the game is a bit too short. Other then that the graphics & the storyline are decent. Need a bit improvement in the hitbox section. By checking other game by Barty Games i can say it is way much improved then the other ones. would love to see the next game in the coming years.

Pirates of the Asteroid Belt
It is incredibly charming in its unpolished state.
The voice acting is actually pretty good and the premise itself works well.
Unfortunately, the very first “puzzle” is a 4 digit combination lock and you cannot progress past it without figuring it out.
Additionally, the main menu screen is locked behind an in-game console that is inoperable after a certain point in the very first part of the game. I had to use task manager to exit the game.
Definitely not worth your money or time right now.
