Really fun. At first it seems really rudimentary and simple, but when you get into it a little more, it teaches you a lot of Tagalog and a lot about Filipino folklore. It also has a fun potion mixing mini-game and pretty good combat if you pick the RPG option instead of the answering trivia questions option. I only just solved the first quest, so I’ll expand my review at a later time, just want to say this is definitely worth a look.

Moses: from Egypt to the promised land is a first person adventure game inspired by one of the most amazing stories in human history from the Old Testament. In the game, we play the role of Moses, the holy prophet, the leader of the Israelites during their departure from Egypt and their journey to the Promised Land.

The goal of the game is first to free the Israelites from the tyranny of the Egyptians, and then lead them to the promised land and defend them against the Egyptian army. In the game, we will have to sabotage the actions of the Egyptians so that we can save as many of our countrymen as possible. For this, we will have to use both earthly methods and the powers received from God.

An important aspect of the game is raising the “morale” of the Israelites and lowering the “morale” of the Egyptians. To do this, we will move through the territory of ancient Egypt, find oppressed compatriots, and help them in various ways. We will have to find food to feed the hungry, we will free those locked in cages, we will bring medicines for the sick, and we will also fight to protect the weak.

In the game, we will unlock powers received from God with time, the main of which is the ability to plague Egypt so that the morale of Egyptians will drop to such a level that we can bring out oppressed Israelites. We will have at our disposal all 10 plagues that appeared in the Bible: the transformation of the waters of the Nile and all the waters of Egypt into blood, frogs, lice, flies, the plague of cattle, ulcers, hail, locusts, darkness, and the death of the firstborn.

Another aspect of the game will be to lead the Egyptians to the promised land and save them from the approaching army. We will have to carry out a series of tasks that will enable us to forge a board with the 10 Commandments to gather enough power to perform the miracle of the fragmentation of the sea, which will be the only salvation for the fleeing Israelites people.

Game features:

  • first-person view

  • exploration of the open world

  • hunting for animals

  • crafting

  • using divine powers

I bought this game for my 4 year old girl because it caught her eye and she enjoys these “pin-pull” puzzle games on the mobile.

She enjoys it, but I dunno about some of the pictures and stuff… seems a bit weird to me, idk.

WolfQuest: Classic

WolfQuest: Classic

WolfQuest is a game I had always wanted since I was about 9 years old. This was at a time when wolves were my favorite animals, and I loved drawing them and learning about them. I had finally managed to get my mom to let me download the original free version onto our shared family laptop. Flashforward to when 2.7 came out, I was facinated by all the new options that became available and all the new adjustments. It was one of the first games I had bought on steam.

This is a game that I grew up with, even though my love for wolves may have lessened and my interests have changed. Wolfquest is always updating and improving, as the developers try their best to make the experience more enjoyable and efficient for everyone. Wolfquest is my most played game, and for a good reason.

To start off, yes, I have played this game an unbearable amount of time. I feel as though I can give an adequate review with that in mind.

The graphics haven’t changed, clearly, and while it might be nice if they did, I believe they simply do not have the funds. I like the nostalgic feel, though, from 2.5. They’ve added new creatures-all evolving around these graphics-which are foxes, cougars, and moose. The only unkillable creatures are the eagle (it only appears to kill pups and you can run into it to chase it off) and the bear (you can get it down to 25% health, but it has to be in a multiplayer game to get that to happen before it despawns.) Only elk, moose and wolves can cross rivers, so you can herd fast animals to the water so that they turn around and you can bite them. Elk are the only animals that spawn together, consisting of 8 cows and 1 bull. Cows are easy to kill if you have even stats and can be done by yourself, and so can bulls, but with bulls it’s easier on multiplayer if you’re looking for quick exp. There are also stanger wolves that will attack your pups if the territory marking gets low enough, although I’ve never checked to see if they are killable.

About the Developer & Mission ============

  • As an independent developer, who has spent roughly 2 years (over 2,700 personal hours) actively developing this gaming project, I believe it should go without saying: this game is a labor of love & passion. I believe it is absolutely where my passions should focus.

  • My goal is to craft quality, digital experiences (i.e., games) that help inspire people to broaden their perspectives on common, taken-for-granted societal constructs in an intuitive manner. Team iNtuition values the notion of educating people on complex topics in intuitive ways through technology. (Also, I enjoy magic but feel most games do it a disservice by treating it like another type of gun, at best).

  • As part of Team iNtution, I am lead developer, tech artist & founder. I do tasks ranging from 3D Modeling, rigging, animating, texture editing, design, story and narrative. I do a bit of audio and music, but mostly focus on the major features requisite of a vertical-slice styled prototype – animated models, environment, VFX and programming.

  • Your support will aid in continuing to develop this project, increasing social outreach, creating community and building a Patreon audience whose feedback will directly help improve this video game. Lastly, it will tell our future team that there are others who believe in and support this work, validating continued efforts on this over-2,700-hour journey thus far.

WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition

WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition

Overview:

I recommend this game greatly. It is immersive, the graphics are beautiful, and the developers are hardworking and listen to the suggestions of the players. It is required to remember that this game is not close to finished, so a few episodes and features are missing. However, it is still very fleshed out and is being worked on, with weekly or bi-weekly devlogs to mark their accomplishments or current projects. The optimization can also be a bit of an issue. The graphics require a good computer, otherwise the vegetation will be capped pretty low. I would still recommend it, however. The gameplay is worth mediocre graphics.

I really love this game. I have been following it since it came out any way I could but was only just recently able to purchase it. I don’t believe I have ever had this much fun playing such a realistic and great game. I eagerly anticipate Tower falls. Unfortunately however, more recently after an update whenever I load the screen, my game is all black and I am unable to play or see anything and need to access steam just to close it. I’m unsure if this is a personal problem or something with the update. I hope this is fixed and regardless, still recommend this game to anyone with a love of wolves and wildlife

Bring Dad Home

Bring Dad Home

Why is it called “Bring Dad Home”?

Because the game was inspired by my real experience.

It was at the beginning of 2019, a dark night on a high month, and my dad just participated in socializing and drank too much. After getting out of the car, what only I can do is helping him walking home.

I’m not strong, but dad had a huge body.

It was okay at first, but gradually became physically weak and unable to help him later. My dad fell and got injured. He was taken to the hospital immediately by me.

A few days later, our team participated in the 2019 Global 48-Hour Extreme Development Competition, and we got a question about family relationships-“What does home mean to you?”

So, we hit it off right away, and “Bring Dad Home” was born.

After 48 hours, we won the “Most Popular Game Award” in Guangzhou.

At the end of 2019, “Bring Dad Home” was selected for the Indie Prize finals.

We hope that this game will not only bring joy to everyone, but also remind you of some interesting memories with your loved ones.

Ethos 2: Fall Of Empires

Ethos 2: Fall Of Empires

Carve Your Own Path

Ethos 2: Fall Of Empires is a Historical RPG where every single decision you make affects your journey. Abilities, upgrades, weapons, interactions, quests, the atmosphere, and much more, are all affected by the actions and moral decisions you make within the game.

Become a tyrant, a hero, a lone wolf, or many other archetypes, the choice is yours!

The Story

The game takes place in the year 1453. You play as Constantine XI Palaiologos, the last Emperor of the Byzantine Empire. Your once great city of Constantinople has fallen into the hands of the Ottomans and your goal is to take it back.

You can do this by gathering troops/equipment/allies from leaders of other nearby nations in Egypt, the Balkans, The Middle East, and more! OR you can also choose to overthrow the leaders of other nations, and take their nations by force!

You may also attempt to take back Constantinople by making yourself an extremely powerful one-man-army, and attempt to take the city by yourself whenever you are ready. This can be through many means such as assassination of Mehmed the Conqueror, or by facing the entire Ottoman army by yourself.

Style

The game is very non-linear. Meaning that you can technically attempt to finish the final quest very early on in the game. Its an open-world game that doesn’t place a limit on exploration.

Consequences

Want to murder a main character that you need to complete a quest? Go for it. But expect there to be consequences. Want to become a pacifist and try to not harm anyone ever? Go for it. But expect there to be consequences.

Why This Game Is Being Made

As a massive RPG-fan, I was very tired of many AAA games giving you the illusion of ‘your decisions matter’. Because at the end of the day, choices in many AAA games pretty much only affected how much of a discount you could get at a merchants shop, or how some NPC’s react to you when you walk by.

I really want choices to matter in games. And that’s why this game is being made.

Saying that, this is a passion project for myself, and no one should expect this to be a AAA title. But hopefully it could be a really fun indie game that people can replay and have fun with :)
