Brothers Apart
Sometimes solitude isn’t a choice, and the past is hidden in a cruel twist of fate.
Brothers Apart is an action adventure RPG where the protagonist Leiyn has no recollection of his past. Adventure through the wilds with your wolf companion “Monster” and piece together the events that led you where you are.
Be ready to get pulled in by the 16 bit scenery, and a cast of characters that will keep you on your toes. Visit 4 different towns, cook, fish, eat, drink, and try not to fall victim to what hides in the woods… especially when night falls. Discover secret places, secret enemies, and try to collect 15 unique fish. Delve even deeper and you might discover where it all began.

METAL DOGS
Someone made a game based on the comic “We 3” and that makes me so happy 3
EDIT: If you like games that you can grind at and listen to podcasts atst, this is a great addition to that kind of game, much like Book of Demons.

Currently this game is fun for about 10-20 mins. I love the concept and almost Diablo II like gameplay in portions of it and it has potential to be quite good… but a lot of work is needed to make this a game worth $30.
I would say in the games current state it feels like a $5 game that you could spend an hour or 2 enjoying before you put it down and walk away from it forever.
Lots of issues with this game (most of which I would overlook if it was multiplayer…. but it’s not)
PROS:
- Game has potential to be an awesome game of dodging and timing attacks and customizing weapons

Wirewalk()↳
As an old school (S)NES RPG player I was really pleased to play this game, the gameplay feels like playing Zelda - A Link to the Past, with a Megaman like soundtrack ! The story shows a not so far future where people is even more dependent on technology in a clear criticism to our current society, I won’t do spoilers here but the jokes about this society are clever and made me laugh more than once. I felt like the game was fairly easy (maybe because I’m used to this kind of game) and made me want more, an expansion with more levels/bosses would be great. In a nutshell, entertaining with a nice message to the player.

Disclaimer, for transparency’s sake: the developer is a friend of mine however I’ll be reviewing this game as unbiased as possible.
Wirewalk is a typical Gameboy dungeon crawler adventure game in the molds of the first Zelda titles with a top-down gameplay and retro graphics.
First, the story: It is rather straightforward - you’re a girl named Rada who lives in a town suddenly plagued by a mysterious computer virus that renders technology inoperable. Fortunately, Rada knows her way around computers and has developed a program nicknamed “Wirewalk” in which she’s able to “go inside the code” to fix people’s various devices.

ASTRO AQUA KITTY
Surprised this doesn’t have a higher rating. Maybe people are disappointed because they are comparing it to the first game and this game is very different. The first game was great because it has these crunchy controls with old school arcade-paced levels. This game is not like that. Unlike Milk Mine Defender, where you can only go left and right in an infinite loop, these are open maps where you have to hunt around and collect specific things. Also unlike Milk Mine, the powerups are not temporary but are items which can be collected and upgraded. Personally, I love it. It’s like if Star Fox was a 16-bit rpg with all the little side-quests and boss battles. But if you were expecting a continuation of Milk Mine, I can see why it would be disappointing.

Now I have finished it, I can say it worst its price. It is a very lovely sequel and a quality product for an indy title.
ASTRO AQUA KITTY is such an improvement compared to the previous one.
Now it is an Action RPG shoot-em-up with classes and multiples weapons. An immersive and even more cute artistic direction, a minded and polished level design that increase in size level after level and give you various tasks, all served by very good musics.
Devs made it with great care and you can feel it.

Cat Quest II
[Disclaimer: This review covers both Cat Quest 1 and 2 as I bought the first game while I received a review-copy from the developers through Save or Quit. You can read the full 4.1K word (20K character) review down below with visual aids and a (soon to be done) video.]
Cat Quest: Back to Where It All Furst Began
With the release of Cat Quest 2, it’s difficult to share the same adoration for its predecessor after having played something that takes everything the previous game did so well, yet simply does the same concept so much better. Thankfully, with the release of the Cat Quest 1 & 2 bundle at a reasonable price, I can happily recommend the original as much as the sequel—but it’s quite clear which game is superior. (Psst, Gentlebros, if you were to recreate Cat Quest in the sequel as DLC with reworked dungeons and the same quests and story, I would happily buy that day one.)

Sometimes you will play a game that catches you completely by surprise. Cat Quest 2 was one of those games for me. Sure I could tell it had nice graphics and art style. I had seen the announcement trailers and stuff. But I never played the first one, so how fun could an RPG Lite with a cat and dog actually be? Well, let me just tell you upfront…Gentlebros has delivered an amazing game that I truly enjoyed from the very moment I picked the controller. Honestly its a Purrfect recipe for success. Let’s look at the story first.

Apocalich
Pretty fun game. Nice coop option. There are a few bugs like not being able to pick up items if you miss them, but overall a fun quick game.

Space Hack
Overall, after spending 45 hours grinding through this game and going through all 15 BioSpheres and all 45 levels, I can say for sure that Space Hack isn’t worth the experience in present times or at least has aged horribly.
TL;DR: This game is extremely tedious and repetitive and although I had fun in a few places I can’t really recommend this to anyone unless they are looking to complete a random game and they are willing to spend hours and hours battling with the same stuff. Even for a 2005 game it suffers from horrible pacing which shows the lack of interesting mechanics to play with.

I’ve been playing ARPGs for a long time. This sucks as an ARPG.
These are my problems with it:
-
No chest system. Biggest problem in my case. I like to save items I might or not use in the future in some place. This game didn’t have that. I ended up using my base to save good gear, by the end I had over 50 items laying around.
-
A lot back-tracking. Get this: the inventory is 10x5. A bit tiny except some items can be 2x4 in size, and as mentioned before, no chest system. So let’s say you find 5 items with size 2x4, and then a 2x2 item. You’re done, you can’t pick up the 2x2 one. You have to go back to your base (for which you have a thing called “hi-techs”, which are basically spells; most are good and useful, some don’t use your energy), deal with items however you want to deal them (again, no chest system), go back to the quest, rinse and repeat. I think at the fourth or fifth time it happens in the same map, you’re allowed to swear at the devs.

Barking Puzzle
A game that somewhat resembles Mario, and other similar games in which it is pleasant to kill your time. I would like to see a variety of characters and “awards” that they select in the future. 8/10

Animal Rescuer
Very glad they came out with the full version! One of my favorites! Definitely for animal lovers. Who could resist the opportunity to heal, save and interact with animals of various kinds in a game? You can also eliminate poachers and bad guys, and if fighting is your thing, there are a lot of opportunities for that as well. The nice thing is you can make the game very relaxing by exploring and enjoying the scenery and animals (great job on the graphics!) or you can go at it from the leveling up fighting aspect. Or both. Highly recommend!

How should I start this game is way way too good and I should say congratulations for the development and the developers for making such a great game. First thing the world design is incredible and the weapon design is awesome. The combat is really nice. Congrats again the only thing you need in my opinion is adding armor cosmetic to the game but other than that the game is really nice. In my opinion, anyone who likes these kind of games should give it a try and you’ll be surprised and you can be the judge. Thanks again for the great game.
