Accel World VS. Sword Art Online Deluxe Edition
A quick one.
Liked:
- This is ALO, hence flight. And magic. And Undines, can’t forget that. And
! White Cosmos… Ah her support skill is awesome
-
This is also AW. Not too familiar with that, but I like Pado. KYL is also awesome (those wing-flapping…)
-
Some missions (read: Infinite Dungeon) are actually a lot more fun in multiplayer
-
Playing as anyone (but
! Yui sighs. I wanted to try being
! a tiny pixie)
- Control is controller-friendly (couldn’t go back to keyboard after playing on controller for 20+ hrs)

CODE VEIN
The character customization alone makes this game worth the price of admission. But, if you don’t like souls-likes and the honestly pretty generic story and characters don’t entice you, this game is a hard sell. The game is honestly very pretty and the costumes are sick, though. Plus, if you don’t like souls-like games because of the difficulty, this one’s relatively easy when you have an ai companion with you. But real gamers play without a companion after the first playthrough. Anyway, i recommend this game while its on sale for anything above, say, %25.

Pretty nice anime Soulslike. I just finished the main story, played all the depths maps which are some lite equivalent of the Chalices in Bloodborne (except one i guess) and even beat the first of the 3 DLC’s called Hellfire Knight ( i was/am level 159 and it was still F’ing hard).
Apart from the difficulty of the DLC the rest of the game was not really as hard as i expected it to be based on what i read about this game, but very pleasant and fun to play anyway. Pretty similar to Nioh when it comes to enemy placement/ambushes.

Check out my full review on this with pics on Sinical Anime Network !
I don’t normally write extensive reviews, but I felt this game deserves it as I’ve finished getting every achievement now without buying any shortcut DLC perks and maxed out all my end-game weapon stats. So let’s get down to it.
Story
A quick rundown on the story is that there is a war between the Dahna and Rena, with Renans in control and enslaving the all the Dahnas. You get to control a group which consists of both Dahnas and Renans to defeat the five Renan Lords and free all the Dahnas from slavery.

Magellania
Magellania is the best CRPG (Clown Role-Playing Game) on the market to date.
It takes the most fun elements from Tactical RPGs; stat-based battle, positional strategy, and team-building, and simplifies the style enough so that the focus of the game is on the puzzle-like elements.
There also isn’t any perma-death, which works for the game but I would like an update to add it at some point, please. It may be unlocked after beating the game, I’m not sure.
Magellania is all about knowing which units work well against which units, manipulating unit structure to, what order to most effectively use “combo”, what set of Badges to bring to battle on which unit.

Magellania is a small tactics-RPG with a unique style.
It’s a fun game with some small issues - but if you know exactly what to expect from this game and you’re still interested, please buy it. You will have a great time.
So here are the things you should know first:
-
There’s no proper ingame menu. Settings can be adjusted before loading a save or starting a new game.
-
You can only access and adjust your recruits in your home base or at the start of a battle
-
No EXP grinding or levels. Your party will only gain stats through equipment (=badges).

Tokyo Xanadu eX+
Tl;dr:
Part hack&slash ARPG, part visual novel/interactive movie with a slow burner of a story. All wrapped up in Falcom’s usual rock-solid presentation, although this particular game is rather guilty of recycling stuff from Trails of Cold Steel in particular.
Long version:
First things first:
While this bears Xanadu in the title, it doesn’t have much to do with Falcom’s previous Xanadu games. About the only thing they have in common is that supernatural dark forces are encroaching on the world, and that they’re making a push again after X amount of time. You won’t find a fantasy kingdom here, you will not be chasing 4 crowns and a magical sword, and this game doesn’t even mention Galsis - you get another mystical monstrosity as the main antagonist instead.

While reviewing this game, I’ll divide it in two parts: the “OG version” and the “Ex+ version”.
Short version: If you played any Ys game excluding Ys 1 and Ys 2, then you pretty much know what you’re getting yourself into. If you haven’t played an Ys game before then check that series out. Tokyo Xanadu Ex+ is an upgraded version of the original that adds some nice stuff and some bad stuff. Overally pretty fun and enjoyable.
Long version:
Tokyo Xanadu originally released on the PSVita , made by Falcom and it’s a fun ARPG with fast paced combat mixed with a bit of Persona elements.
