Doomsday Hunters
This is a great game! If you love rogue lights this is the game for you! A middle ground between binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon. I Dracula Genesis delivers with fun and varying game play. The game really can be a challenge too! One of the best rogue likes in the making!
I honestly have to say this is in my top 3 games of all time. Great game!
I would like to see a lot more content at the end of the game. I want more challenges to push through with powerful endgame builds. Fields of mobs that come at me. Over the top bosses. As of right now it feels amazing to get a victory on this game on universe 3. It’s a lot of fun, but it also feels like it kind of robs you short like you want to take on another challenge. There is always another run though, and it is a very difficult game! If you give it a try get ready for some real adrenaline moments when things get close!

At this point I feel I’ve played and seen enough of this game to recommend it. I, Dracula: Genesis (that is a Kingdom Hearts tier name right there) seems to have inherited a lot of great design philosophy from its predecessors like Enter the Gungeon and Nuclear Throne, and it does the most impressive job of mashing them together I’ve so far seen in the rogue-‘ish’ genre.
The first thing that stands out to me is how solid the interactive physics and gameplay model is. Right from the get go, you feel a unique weight and chunkiness to movement and shooting, and it gives the gamefeel a flavour that distinguishes from its contemporaries. The addition of a jump mechanic, with elements of light platforming throughout, is a really fun addition to the ‘shoot stuff’ gameplay, though individual platforming challenges often leave me scratching my head wondering “how the heck am I supposed to reach that”.

Review edited for release… still nothing but good things to say about it!
There is tons more I could say about this game and how much I enjoy it than what is in this review, so free to message me on Steam if you have any questions. I highly recommend this game if you’re looking for something new in your action roguelite/dungeon-crawling experiences… it was the most polished Early Access Alpha I had ever played, and is even better now that it is released.
Graphics
Very nice and consistently styled, even in the character screen. The choice in what a friend of mine put as “playful yet macabre” is spot-on, and a very nice change of pace from others (not that those are bad, but FMR is a unique breath of fresh air).

If you didn’t think there was enough “Gauntlet” in “Gauntlet”, you should probably invest in this. I will mention Gauntlet rather a lot in this “review”, btw.
The first point, and it’s a reasonably large one, that this game scores over Gauntlet is that it has genuinely random (thus replayable ad inifinitum*) levels and a fairly expansive character customization section make this a far more worthwhile purchase. Gauntlet promised randomised, limitless levels and failed to deliver, preferring instead to rotate a level through 180degrees or make you do them “the opposite way round” (from start to finish in a ‘death’ level, for example). It’s obvious, woeful and does nothing to hide the fact that you’re always playing from a small group of levels that can easily be remembered, no matter what way round they are.

premise
choose one of four characters and clear randomly-generated dungeon, which is full of various enemies, both melee and ranged. at the end you fight a boss. during the quest two kind of currencies can be found:
- “techs” : to buy medkits, powerups, weapons, ammo in dungeon-shops, and to unlock new titles outside of dungeon (purely cosmetics)

Quick Rundown:
–———————-
The good: Gameplay mechanics are solid, if a bit simplistic.
The bad: Exceptionally difficult to find others to play with.
Verdict: A hopeful 6/10 in its current state. Fun for a quick romp but disappointed about not having enough friends to play with. Interface, matchmaking, and netcode need a few tweaks.
Potential: 8/10 with a solid-buy recommendation if matchmaking gets an overhaul. Once the multiplayer community gets up and running,

One Shell Straight to Hell
(Review was updated on Dec 2021) I’ve spent many hours alpha-testing this game and decided to buy it on release day. Here are my thoughts so far, a list of positive and negative elements:
The good stuff:
-
Uniquely witty main character.
-
Good variety of unlockable skills and lootable guns, be it primaries or secondaries.
-
The setting: a terribly haunted mansion property set in the 1910’s - 1920’s.
-
The Padre’s voice actor probably smoked 10 cigars and drank too much whiskey. Fantastic.

One Shell Straight to Hell
There’s a brand-new Roguelike indie title on the streets; One Shell Straight to Hell. One Shell Straight to Hell lets the player experience the best of two worlds with its well-put-together Roguelike dungeon-crawling gameplay with a touch of base defense elements mixed in.
At first glance, the game seems to be simple enough with its Procedural Generation World. But as you cross the first stage after finishing a base defense wave, the game becomes something much more.

Fun little side scroller, love the graphics and the music is upbeat and keeps ya going. Boss designs are awesome, the weapons are awesome … well the ones I've gotten so far. I just gotta get use to the dodging and get better at it. Only up to lvl 5 so far, that slime boss is tough but ... I'll get em!

I love the clear, beautiful spritework on this game, specially the bosses. The main protagonists of this roguelite, however, are the weapons, they are really varied and pretty fun to learn to use. Even the ones that at the beginning seem crappy grow on you. The controls are great and the music is ok.
My only gripe would be that the three main characters aren't really that different between each other.
Great game that promises a lot of hours of fun.

## Godstrike
**Introduction**
Godstrike is a twinstick bullet hell bosh rush roguelite arena shooter by OverPowered Team. It was previously released on Steam as Profane but taken down. It has been updated and released under its new name. I was already following the game as Profane and keeping an eye on it. When there was a demo contest I jumped on the opportunity to win a free game key.
**Control**
It can be played with a dual stick controller but personally I think it's best played with the mouse either in combination with an one handed controller or with the keyboard. Using the mouse lets you simply put the reticle on your target allowing you to concentrate on dodging bullets. I prefer playing with a PS3 move navigation controller (in combination with a mouse), you could achieve the same with a Switch Joy Con or an analog joystick. Certain mouse drivers let you remap your buttons which is very useful for Godstrike. I've set up a mouse profile so I can map active abilities to the mouse buttons. You can use m to make the reticle show permanently. Alternatively you can use a draw tablet instead of the mouse. /m

I streamed this game on twitch the moment it became available. From the start, I was having a ton of fun! The life/time mechanic is awesome and leads to some extremely intense victories! The bosses each have their own mechanics and patterns, and they all felt different from fight to fight. The first four bosses were defeated with 0:00 on the clock which means you can't be hit again or you'll die, so this definitely led to some heart pounding moments! There are different abilities you can use to overcome the boss, but these abilities come with a cost, time. If you choose a dash ability, that subtracts 15 seconds from your overall start time to defeat the boss. There are passive abilities which do not effect time, and these abilities can help with attack speed, movement speed, damage negation, or even help with picking up shards to power your abilities. During my stream, two members of the development team stopped by, gifted subscriptions to my channel, and were overall extremely friendly. I have truly enjoyed this game and for somewhere between $10-15, I think its a great deal for a great game. Cheers all!

## Lake of Creatures
**Lake of Creatures** is a fast-paced action fishing roguelike, where you're on a quest to hunt down a mythical lake monster. Increase your odds against the beast by finding loot, while traversing through randomly generated lakes riddled with hostile creatures. Catching and selling fish is mandatory, since buying more equipment will further improve your chances of success.
![](https://media.st.dl.pinyuncloud.com/steam/apps/1808320/extras/Hnet.com-image__3_.gif?t=1637565384)
#### FEATURES:
**- Randomly Generated Runs**
Each time you start a new run, new lakes are generated containing different enemies, items and layouts! No run will be the same.
**- Combat Modifying Item Synergies**
The items you collect define a run. If you manage to find items that synergize well together, you might become an unstoppable killing machine. Getting overpowered is always fun.
**- Exciting Fishing**
This game doesn't portray fishing like in real life, because in this game the fish actually does bite. You don't have infinite time to wait for the bite though, as the night approaches fast bringing out scary ghosts, who lurk in the bushes.
**- Fast-Paced Juicy Combat With Roguelike Elements**
Satisfying twin-stick shooter, with classic roguelike features, like permadeath, random world generation and gameplay modifying items.

## Nazi Labs
I mean its an alright game when it's on sale anyway but the main reason I got it is because I wanted to collect the trading cards to make the badges that this game had. The game itself does in fact keep me entertained though I really wish it still had its badges…
Sorry although the game itself is alright I'm really upset that it doesn't have its badges anymore...
-Maybe bring the badges back for this game??

You occasionally get lots of drops on the first few stages which really helps and got me to the end. This is a pretty basic game but it has a bad b movie charm about it, enough to keep me entertained.
