Calturin
This is a really awesome game!
There are some bugs, but not game breaking, and they have to be triggered intentionally.
It took me about 2.5 hours to complete (only the green portals).
It has very good voice acting and awesome sound effects.
The pixel art style also fits the game and it’s story very well.
The only thing I would change would be the bosses. With each portal their attacks get stronger, but they aren’t harder beat necessarily. Some attacks are stronger but easy to dodge. The dragon for example is very easy to defeat, compared to the bull? before, which is a little bit harder, or the knight at the beginning.

This is a nice little game.
Do be aware that it is short, around 2 hours to complete the main game, and double that to complete all the challenges.
On my first playthough, I was on the fence about liking the game but midway through the game picks up and becomes pretty fun. I really like the graphics although they do seems somewhat amaturish at time or lacking some small amount of polish that I cant put my finger on. That being said I really love the title screen art and the player sprites. The combat is pretty simple which is good for this type of game(shoot, blink, heal).

Boyfriend Dungeon
5/10
I really want to highly recommend this game but the reasons I’m about to go into, I can’t. I would, however, say get this game if you like a short but pretty ok dungeoncrawler one shot.
TL:DR
Pros:
-
Dungeoncrawling aspect done well
-
Beautiful art, beautiful characters
-
Diverse cast
-
Interesting characters
Cons:
-
Shallow glimpses into the characters and finishes right as you start to care
-
No replay motivation (save for wanting to see dialogue)
-
Only 1 female dating option

“We’re just too hot for this old rickety thing to handle."
Verona Beach – a chill place to spend the summer. Especially in a rent-free apartment previously occupied by your cousin. Kind of him to offer you the space, even if he’s one of the most obnoxious and interfering people you’ll ever meet. But hey, families – can’t pick ‘em.
But you can pick lovers, and that’s part of the reason you’re here. See, you’ve never had a date. Not even once. Your cousin, under some duress from your mother, has been assigned your wingman, but it won’t be long before you’re able to make connections at your own pace.

Magic Potion Millionaire
I was pleasantly surprised by this game, which was made by only one person. In my eyes, it’s a bit like a Maplestory-lite, with an idle game thrown in there about halfway through. It’s very grindy, so it’s definitely a game for a specific niche, but it’s fun and avoids the trappings of “roguelikes”, which it somewhat inaccurately describes itself as. Genre nitpicking aside, it’s a fantastic game with tight controls, great sound & music, and a charming atmosphere. Give it a try if you like collectathons/grinding games.

this game is rather fun, although it can be a bit grindy. the varied environments and the powerful soundtrack keep the game interesting throughout the entire experience. i’m looking forward to the next game in this series.

Eagle Island Twist
Eagle Island is an amazing rogue-like game that will draw you in and frustrate you in the most rewarding you. It’s exactly the game I’ve been looking for and I’m very glad I picked it up. 9/10
How I found it.
I found EI when browsing through Nintendo Switch news. I’d been looking for a new indie game to pick-up and it was suggested as a new release. The pixel art immediately caught my attention and I added it to my to-buy list. I saw there was a demo available and decided to try it out on PC. It was fun! The demo was very fun and I had a very hard time getting used to controlling Quill (main character) and Koji (friendly owl - he attacks) but didn’t let that stop em from enjoying the game. At that point, I wasn’t in the best financial position to spend 20€ in a game. But something just drew me in. Something just told me, I have to buy it.

My original review was written extremely shortly after the game came out, but the developer has released an update in response to the mixed reviews that actually addressed a lot of my issues here! There were quite a few tweaks and overall it feels a lot better. Most notably, the runestones are now able to be backpacked and used in later dungeons, which is incredibly useful.
Additionally, I will confess that some of my complaints probably did come with lack of practice or familiarity. So if you are more familiar with this genre, or would be willing to dedicate time to getting used to the feel of the game, I’d say go for it. I’ve got 11 hours in the game now, and it may be a combination of tweaks and me getting more comfortable with the controls, but the whole thing feels a lot smoother and less frustrating.

Hades
The Story is quite simple. You are the Son of Hades and You wish to See your mother Persephone in order to discover your family history. Unfortunately, 4 levels of Underworld Separate You and your mother, and on top of that, Your father has made sure that each floor is loaded with traps, enemies and bosses, so that you never get to see your mother.
The game Essentially Plays as a rogue light with randomly generated levels. In Order to get stronger, You need to select rooms containing God boons which serve as the game’s upgrade system. The boons are random and of various kinds with different levels of rarity. The idea is to select the right rooms as to create a “build” for your character depending on which base weapon you started of with. In addition, there are various upgrades and bonuses ranging from health upgrades, stat multipliers, power ups to secondary attack hammers.

Absolutely fantastic game that is re-playable over and over.
I’ve been playing for well over 100+ hours and the story and dialogue has been continuous, with next to no repeated dialogue. The game and story progresses with you and your skill level, so whether you are taking it leisurely or whether you’re a speed runner, it has a massive amount of combinations of dialogue depending on what you’re doing, which weapon you’re wielding, which trinkets you’re holding, which God’s boons you’ve previously chosen, the relationship level between certain characters.
