Fears of Glasses o-o
To be honest, I didn’t understand anything about the game at all. I’m not used to the glasses in the middle of the screen. It feels weird and out of place. Also, the game has obvious problems with the interface. In general, it doesn’t feel like a completed product. Rather, like something hastily whipped up.

Fears of Glasses is a pretty good horror platformer with an atmosphere of gloom and creep.

A PAINTING FOR CRAZINESS
The Surrealist Artist Ardois-Bonnot presented his painting called Dream Landscape in the Paris Spring Salon of 1926. The moment the painting was uncovered, it caused a sudden riot among the public, and people screamed and ran all over the place. Soon after the exhibition, Ardois-Bonnot fell into a strange deep sleep from which no one could wake him up. Rumors abound that shortly before this attack of ‘sleeping sickness’, he was at the verge of completion of his greatest masterpiece which would change the world.

Evil Heart Fever
Bear with me, this is my first long review. Overall I’m recommending this game, as it was decently entertaining and it’s only 1$ (and I got it on sale 40% off).
The gameplay is solid enough, basic twin-stick style shooting to take down waves of enemies coming at you from the sides of the screen. Your character shoots at crosshairs where your mouse is located, and can do a quick dash every 2-3 seconds depending on your stats until it reaches the crosshairs. The progression is fairly solid, staying relatively challenging without any real difficulty spikes aside from possibly the bosses, who are chosen at random; some bosses are pretty easy to downright unthreatening, while others can be incredibly difficult to deal with while still fighting the swarms of basic enemies. These bosses show up every so often (with health scaled to your level), and regular enemies stay spawning during your fight with them at no slowdown. You can even end up with multiple boss angels simultaneously if you don’t kill each one fast enough. As you kill angels you gain levels and earn perks, a choice of 1 from a random 3 possibilities, thus allowing you to get stronger to face the tougher stock enemies the game will flood you with. You can even get one of five special transformations, each with their own unique perk, by acquiring three specific perks related to the transformation. Pretty simple, but a decent enough gameplay loop for a dollar.

A really fun multidirectional-shooter-roguelike mashup thing, amazing product for a dollar. It’s theme feels nice and cohesive, between it’s mix of Lovecraftian and religious items, enemies, and the player itself if a nice touch, and works well. The game looks alright, nothing amazing, but it does the job and doesn’t hurt to look at. There are only a few flaws with the game, such as what I assume are bosses being really fucking hard to kill, meaning you need to get lucky and be beefed up or have a synergy by the time one comes. There’s also the kinda of small library of upgrade items, which is about 35-40, and while that isn’t too small of an amount, some more items would be pretty dope.

The Dam Nation
The Dam Nation is a roguelike FPS where you will need to consider which enemies you can fight and which can be evaded. You can use tools to break your enemies’ lines of communication, lure them into traps, or when the situation calls for it - shoot them in the face with a rocket.
The game is set within a city constructed upon a colossal dam. You arrive in the city to find it overrun with horrifying headless monsters! As you fight to save the dam, you’ll also learn its secrets and discover the origin of the monstrosities attacking it.
Features:
-
Procedurally Generated Levels: The game’s levels are different every time you play.
-
All kinds of items to play with: Make use of the many weapons and tools you’ll find strewn across the city. Invisibility cloaks, teleporters, communication jammers, lures, shields, machine-guns, rocket launchers; there’s sure to be something to your liking!
-
A Monster Menagerie: Lots of different monsters. All trying to kill you in a variety of different ways.
-
2 Player Co-op: If you like you can team up with a friend, either split-screen on online!
-
No Persistent Leveling: Many roguelikes have the player progress via leveling up or acquiring upgrades on each run through the game; there’s nothing wrong with that but it isn’t how The Dam Nation does it.
Though you might unlock new color schemes or game-modes as you play, a player starting their first run will have access to all the same equipment and weapons as a player on their 1000th run.
You progress through gaining a better understanding of how to deal with enemies and most effectively use your equipment, as well as learning more about the city you’re trying to save.
-
No Crafting: Many games in this genre feature crafting, The Dam Nation Doesn’t.
The game is very much still a work-in-progress, so things mentioned on this page might change.
