This is a great game and try to be cautious, surviving the first night won’t be the best. I started to think the best way is just running for your life. This is a complicated survival game or complicated and funny survival game where you have to create the best shelter to avoid the enemies at night. Yeah, they are not so great at day but the skeletons.. and other things, you know. They going to destroy your shelter. Now you know!

TL:DR: Cheap but fun roguelike survival game, some way to go before it’s finished, but well worth the price with the current content! 7.5/10

Review

Rogue Harvest is a roguelike survival game, with permadeath and gameplay similar to that of hardcore Minecraft or Terraria. In Rogue Harvest you play as the survivor of a plane crash fighting to make sense of and survive in the hostile world in which he’s found himself. The gameplay is fun and currently semi-deep, there’s several tiers of content for each item (from 2-4 depending on the item) and you are free to create some awesome looking houses to defend yourself with.

MOTHERGUNSHIP

MOTHERGUNSHIP

This game is a masterpiece of difficulty that punishes the slow, the weak, and the stupid. I say this not out of malice or contempt for the player, but from a position of experience. I have been that slow, weak, and stupid player at one time. I’ve been totally thrashed and left wondering what had happened…and I personally wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve lost legendary items and I had no one to blame but myself when I did. Yes, I was sick to my stomach, but my own failings were to blame. I surpassed them, recovered, and ascended.

In A Nutshell

Mothergunship is an exaggerate fast-paced FPS with a futuristic setting, in which aliens invaded Earth and wiped the majority of the population. You, as a member of The Resistance, will need to board and destroy alien ships in order to locate their command center, the Mothergunship, and destroy it.

This game is mainly about two things: facing dozens of enemies in fast-paced, old-school style FPS combat, and building absolutely insane guns from a very original, intuitive and well made crafting system. Your command center will be your ship, in which you will find various facilities to upgrade your character, once you get enough XP to level up, a shop to buy guns and parts to use in future missions using the money you accumulated previously, a test range to build weapons freely and test the best builds, and lastly, the mission panel, where you will be able to select the next mission, either main, secondary, or endless mode (once unlocked).

Grimm: Dark Legacy

A lovely beautiful fun game to play and i like it but sadly the game sometimes hangs during play as no doubt it needs an updated patch.

What happens is you could be on a leisure hunt and everything works ok till some point when you collect or killed some creatures then when you try to kill a creature by hitting it then you find you go thru the actions of striking the creature but it has no effect as if your weapon does not make contact with the creature.

Also the same when you try to collect items you go thru the motions of collecting items but don’t collect anything even when you got plenty of space in your bag to store items.

Played Iron Man only. Got to Iceland on my 3rd try. Got 1 shotted.

The game’s good but it gets old fast. I’m not doing another try - quests are too repetitive!

Worth the price tag though, if only for the art.

That being said the game could be renamed: ‘‘Eating & hunting simulator 2016’’.

-Pros-

-Smooth controls

-Amazing art

-Music/soundtrack is fitting

-Cons-

-Only 4 quest types (find a guy, protect villager(s), gather food, kill x mobs)

-You eat non stop. For some reason your guy needs to eat far too much. Food also heals you after your full so you’re always in need of more, it never ends. Even if you end up full you’ll just get hit by something and have to eat half of your rations to heal up, which in turn means more hunting needed.

Pyramid Plunge

Pyramid Plunge

Pyramid Plunge is a game inspired from the classic spelunking platformers, adding a lot of humour for all ages bringing back the handcrafted pixel-art platforming of the 90s. You’ll explore creature-infested, ever-changing pyramids. Will you be able to dodge the devious traps & get past evil creatures lurking around every corner? Oh! And don’t leave your terrified partner behind!!

  • Play with lovable characters of Giorgio and Felicie, an unlikely couple each with their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Navigate your way through hordes of ancient evil creatures while exploring procedurally generated pyramids.

  • Craft weapons by decoding blueprints from murals and collecting scraps.

  • Collect lost treasures, and buy powerful upgrades and hilarious weapons from the friendly merchant Naeem (who is lost as much as you are!)

  • Explore alone or Co-op with a friend. Or battle it out in a VS match where you – create exquisite chaos with bananas, frying pans, landmines, boomerangs and anything that comes under your hand to steal your opponent’s loot. Just remember to protect your partner at all times!

  • Cross four ancient kingdoms with their own distinct environments and secrets to be uncovered as you make your way down to the exit.

  • Streamer Mode allows Twitch Streamers to let their audience to interact and cause even more havoc. Streamers can let them vote for level modifiers, events, and other surprises. They can ALSO control the Streamer’s partner or even the Bosses!

  • Rewind anytime during the game, and play it in slow-mo replicating those awesome VCRs of the 90s. Re-see the spontaneous hilarious moments that you create.

  • Compete in the daily Pyramid of the Day, where a randomly generated pyramid is kept for 24 hours, together with its leaderboard. Battle it out on the leaderboard, and if you are in the top-spot, you can claim your Pharaoh of the Day title on the game’s Discord !

  • The time is always ticking… if you lurk around for too long, the pyramid will start flooding. Who knew pyramids could flood!? Take what you can, and go go go!

Pyramid Plunge is currently scheduled for an Early Access release later this year, with a full release to follow 3-4 months after.

“What would you call a Pharaoh who farted infrequently?

You can call him toot-uncommon!”

That’s the best joke Giorgio came up with, to try calm Felicie down when they got lost in the Great Pyramid. Meet Giorgio and Felicie. She likes reading and visiting museums and old temples. He likes beer and farting! Their visit to the Great Pyramid was a DISASTER! They got separated from their group. And entered a cursed chamber by mistake where they woke up the Great Pharaoh! The pyramid suddenly became alive with crawling mummies and other creatures. Will they put their differences aside and find their way out?

The Flame in the Flood

The Flame in the Flood

Short answer: This game, although not for everyone, is an indie darling. Although containing a clunky crafting system and becoming monotonous downriver, it boasts a great soundtrack with interesting characters and subtle lore accompanying smooth storybook style animation. Resource management is your friend, as you need to eat but you need to craft, and you only have so much inventory space.

Now, sit down for a long one.

Let’s start with the bad:

Many reviews of this game mention “difficult controls” and it’s understandable: What they’re talking about is the rafting mechanics down the river, controllable via the space button and either the WASD keys or the right mouse button. Rafting in this game can be hard, no ifs and or buts about it. Before the rudder upgrade to your raft (which I recommend rushing, for this exact reason) it can be nigh impossible to avoid hitting a rock or two in the early miles. You get better at this in time, but you’ll still space bar your way into the river bank occasionally.

Technical foibles can’t extinguish this game’s soul.

Summary:

The Flame in the Flood is a survival game that commits to its enticing concept and doesn’t try to do too much with it. You’re thrown straight into a focused survival experience that has you rafting your way through a world blanketed in biblical floods. Your only steady companions are your dog, your raft, the long water, and Chuck Ragan’s game defining soundtrack. Unfortunately some minor bugs regularly sully the immersion. With its stylistically limited scope, this game weighs in on the shorter end of the spectrum for the survival genre, but it is still a good value.

The game has a lot of replayability even with a small amount of weapons and power-ups because the looping mechanic makes the levels more challenging. In a way, the player is being made to be actually stranded on the “raft boat” when a swarm of variety of enemies flood the looped levels. The difficulty bump between the base levels and loop 1 is pretty huge, but it is set to work out by the time the player gets to looped stages. Unlocking the costumes and daily mode were/are a fun part of the game which made playing the game greater. Overall, the game itself is really great, and it being free is kind of insane because I could see the game having a price tag between $1-10 as it is, honestly. Hope the developers make more!

-=(Replay Review)=-

Is this game replayable? Yes

How so?…

As you progress through the campaign you can unlock classes. these classes have unique starting items. Usually it’s a melee and a ranged weapon. (correct me if I’m wrong) Unbeknownst to you, the starting class is unique as well. You see at the start of a level (except the first and intro) you have limited inventory space to bring items you brought from the level you just finished to the next one. The starter class Office has no special items so you get 2 extra slots. Which means you can hoard more stuff as this class.

A spur-of-the-moment decision to actually use the random 75% off coupon I got from something unrelated led to me buying Basingstoke, and this was absolutely the best uninformed game purchase I have made since Rogue Legacy (clearly showing a pattern of excellent Roguelikes being impulse purchases for me). It is tragic that it is so underappreciated and virtually unknown (it is not even in the Wikipedia list of Roguelikes!).

I have played dozens of Roguelikes, from Actual Rogue, to NetHack, to Angband, to Moraff’s World, to ADOM, to Falcon’s Eye, to Dungeons of Dredmor, to Wasted, to Dead Cells, and who knows how many more inbetween. One thing remains constant throughout my Roguelife–I never stop playing any game quite so definitively as when I stop playing a Roguelike. There is no worse feeling in gaming for me than feeling like you finally understand how the game works and making some headway only to be abruptly killed by something you have never encountered before, losing hours of progress, often with essentially nothing to show for it. Roguelikes at their worst are the intentional recreation of discovering your only save file is corrupted, with all the fury that entails.

Cannibal Crossing

Cannibal Crossing

I rarely buy full priced games but Cannibal Crossing is an exception due to Death Road to Canada.

The game is enjoyable yet frustrating with bugs, crazy difficulty scaling Days 1-4 is easy, 5-6 sometimes its hard depending on RNG ( AI aggro is random) beyond 7 gets crazy and you just die from lack of ammo, food, black sludge infection and when you run out stamina running and dodging Negatives even if your stamina skills are maxed out. Due to the pacing of the game I have to prioritize on certain skills like dodge, maxing health and stamina recovery in normal mode. There’s a lot of bugs and needs more polishing, there are times I still get hit from Boss attacks after I defeat them and I die which is frustrating to start all over . Base building is fun but also takes a lot of resources away if you have to build ammo.

Real player with 68.5 hrs in game

Can’t recommend this game in its current state.

Lacking so many things that would makes it playable.

Game says its coop(couch coop in the same house, forget remote play and parsec, not worth the hassle), but that is on my top 5 worst coop experience in my book. why?

The more people you are the harder the game is(that is some what fair BUT!), to the point where if your 4 players, killing just one zombie in the beginning is a hassle, also a weird thing the more players the faster in game time goes and its a pretty big issue since everything gets harder the longer you stay, in solo you can loot, kill and set up a base in the first day, coop…. not so much, before my friends and I could even loot a few houses it was night and horde time. So everybody died, the game spawned us at different places on the map, but centered the camera view between us, so impossible to regroup and we ended up just not playing the game. We did manage build a few items for a base to scrap weapons, always awesome the spend materials to build stuff that just doesn’t work, like it literally didn’t work, no interaction with the machine at all. no quick “break down” in inventory.
