Rampage Knights
EDIT: There’s always more clean-up.
This is a Rogue-lite beat-‘em-up with online multiplayer. Wait, what? “Rogue-likes” are games that where you navigate a procedurally generated (that is, randomized each time) dungeon without saving, each attempt starts from scratch. A “Rogue-lite” game like this lets you unlock better starting abilities based on progress from your previous attempts.
You’re an adventurer returning from a successful dungeon raid, when a necromancer steals all your loot. Time to march to the necromancer’s tower and have a word with him about that. You’ll just have to use whatever you pick up along the way.

You loved Castle Crashers? You couldn’t get enough Binding of Isaac? Well, then here’s just another game made for you!
Searched for a game a friend of mine and me could play together, and found just the game. It may not be something fancy, with lots of awesome looking particles and fx, but it’s so charming in it’s own way. A 2D brawler game that is actually quite challenging, since it has a rogue-like playstyle… and maybe some meanies in between.
The way of style is, may I say, quite lovely kept. Even though there is a lot of blood, whether it’s your own because your friend keeps hitting you while you go for a sandwich, or more preferably the one of your enemies, it still has that little something that doesn’t make it completly “senseless”-slaying looking.

Vertical Drop Heroes HD
You can feel the laziness of the programming as you play. The free flash game of Vertical Drop Heroes by the same programmer (or at least the same art and such) is actually pretty OK. But this game was not done well.
1. You can’t save at all. The only thing that saves is the upgrade buys and unlocks. And runs aren’t short. This is absolutely unforgivable.
2. Lots of unlocks a worse than nothing. Worst offender is the Bone Knife, really hard to earn since you have to pass three levels as peaceful (and unlike what the statues say, No bonus gold for doing this difficult task. Shame shame) And none of the unlocks tell you what they do before you buy/unlock them. Nor can they be disabled so you don’t have to sped more cash and time rotating past them.

I bought this game as part of the Humble Bundle, and it piqued my interest. I figured it would be a fun game to play with others, so I ended up buying it for my wife too… that was a mistake.
For one, the “Local Network” multiplayer option is unreliable. It seems as if at any hint of a network error, the game drops all connections and kills the server. Very frustrating if you make it far in a run. Furthermore, I ran into numerous bugs that crashed my client (problem 1) that meant that the server (my wife’s machine) would quit too (problem 2). Combined with the constant lag, LAN multiplayer was simply unplayable. I know it was not my connection because other games work fine over LAN (e.g. Terraria).

this game is the best thing to happen to me. it incorporates the difficulties we face in our daily lives, like the boss spamming fiery death 4 times in a row. it teaches us a valuable lesson in sacrifice and brotherhood. the game itself is poorly made, but that doesnot stop the mastermind behind it to convey a gruesome and unforgiving world he definetitely had in mind. in conclusion 10/10 basically dark souls.

Eye of Ouroboros
Eye of Ouroboros is an action roguelike adventure game set in a mythical state between life and void. Master the heroes fighting styles and the unique perks acquired throughout the journey. The game can be played by 1-4 players.
Co-op Focused
The game design choices are heavily leaned towards coop: less enemies but with more health; level design requires players to stick together; some abilities boost the whole team. Invite up to 3 friends with their choice of heroes which could turn the tide.
Level Based
The sequence of levels will be different for each run. You also have a choice of different rewards you’ll receive when picking the next level.
Bosses
Bosses for every level with their own unique fighting style.
Several Heroes to Choose From
Every hero has their own unique abilities and fighting style which adds replayability and unique combat strategies when playing with friends.
Roguelike
There is no other way to go about it - if you die, you die permanently. However, some of your progress can be turned into rewards that might make future runs easier.
The game is still early in development so its features are subject to change.
Wally and the FANTASTIC PREDATORS
This game is honestly a ton of fun, very replayable, and as time goes on Boon keeps delivering new reasons to stop in an play it for another long while.
This is one of the few rogue-likes I’ve played where the focus was definitely on the fun, not necessarily the intense planning and stat focus that I’m used to, though that isn’t to say it’s easy! The charm and humor may fool you, but this is definitely the Dark Souls of Nintendo games. (Am I a journalist now?)
The many game-modes, weapons, and options make this one of the most impressive solo-projects I’ve seen. The game does feel a bit rough in some areas, needing a bit more content and polish, but that’s hardly a negative considering the amount of work a single person has poured into this game, and continues to do so.

Wally and the Fantastic Predators has enough potential to eventually stand shoulder to shoulder with games like Gungeon and maybe even Isaac, but it falls short because of technical issues.
Thematically the game is really cute and manages to be funny and tongue-in-cheek in a very charming way, on top of that the game-play seems pretty well designed in the time I’ve played. The overall message is very positive and the game is surprisingly light-hearted for its difficulty. Speaking of which the difficulty options and accessibility options in this game are really good, allowing for a range of difficulties and playstyles.

Pick a race and class. Survive for 3 minutes. Repeat.
Pick a race and class. Survive for 5 minutes. Repeat.
Pick a race and class. Survive for 1 minute. Repeat.
Pick a race and class. Survive for 40 minutes. Repeat.
An absolute classic that isn’t even 10 years old in the roguelike catalogue. With more playable races and classes, plus combinations, that you know what to do with. Not only a permadeath roguelike but one that seems to breach the gap between arcade-style dungeon crawlers. By that I mean that 95% of every session consists of starting the game from scratch, but one could load a saved game not that it matters much as the point of the game isn’t about getting to the end but to find a combination of race and class that fits the player.

What more can I say about this phenomenal piece of art? Assuming you’ve read the description of the game in the Steam Store before you hopped on over to the review page, there’s so much that I feel and so little I can say. Let me just start by saying that it is one of my most played games on my Steam Library and I haven’t owned it for very long, relatively speaking (picked it up November 2017 during the annual Steam Winter Sale). It was a game that a friend of mine had recommended to me for quite some time but never mentioned what it was, what it was about, or any details on why it was so much fun. Truth be told, words cannot describe what keeps bringing me back to playing this game. It reminds me of a true classic (regardless of genre) game that doesn’t have a “outstanding” aspect among it, but is able to blend all of its elements into a fun and addicting masterpiece. Personally, I see this game as a classic in the sense that despite it’s young age, it is a game that keeps drawing me back. It is a game that, like Age of Empires 2 (just as a classic example), has something that is able to draw the player back to it. Maybe it’s the competitive “PVE” style that, after getting smashed by a boulder or starving to death, makes you think “I can do better”. It makes you want to go back after getting squashed and say “challenge accepted”. Maybe it’s the randomness that it throws at you. The level designs, trap placements, the monsters and the way they spawn in and react, the item drops, they all lead to a practically impossible scenario of ever playing the same game twice regardless of whether or not you picked the same class. The developers show a ripe passion for the game and listen quite well to any community feedback (which isn’t something that they absolutely have to do) and overall, are genuinely concerned about the game’s well-being. There are certain games that the developers you can tell have a lack of caring or “meh” kind of attitude. We’re seeing it now in the game industry like never before and words cannot express the respect and admiration for the developers for putting in all of that extra effort. This game took me to the point where I went and wrote my first ever steam guide about a game. I had never given it much thought before and this game sparked that interest. If nothing else, think of this game as a super-drug without any negative effects. Content comes out gradually, but in the best way possible. With everything that comes out having heart and soul put into by the creators. Overall, Barony has made my all-time favorites list (it’s not even in a genre I usually enjoy) and I highly suggest anyone just to give it a shot.

Berserker’s Descent
Big props to the developer for completing this early access properly, most devs would abandon the game with those sales a long time ago. The game improved a lot, not just since the EA release date, but even from a few days ago, particularly when it comes to rebalancing enemies, it feels so much better now. I know it looks ugly and the animation is not exactly appealing, but it’s a really fun game for replay value, it has a lot is going on under the surface with the attacks cancels, dodge-rolls, stagger mechanics, juggle mechanics and other compounding upgrades. Not to say that everything is perfect, the hitboxes in this game is something you going to have to learn by trial and error, and the platforming can be a pain in the butt. The game is not too complicated, ultimately you just have to rely on your reflexes and you don’t have to utilize all the fancy moves, but the combat variety does make it more enjoyable, there are more than a few ways to swing the sword, plus all of the timing bonuses.

The Game: The game is a rouge-lite side-scroller mixed with a brutal melee combat system Risk of Rain meets Dark Souls, if you will With simple graphics and addictive gameplay.
The Good Things: Combat feels great. Shifting between normal Light/Heavy attack’s to special move’s is very smooth and rewards good timing with faster swings, more I Frame’s on dodge’s, ect. The game has a very high skill sealing that feels extremely satisfying to get better at.
The Mixed Things: There is a lot of different perks too choose from as you go through you’re run. they, however. Have a lot of balance problems. Example. Why would I choose to push my enemy slightly farther away from me with each hit when I could just increase me DMG so I can kill them quicker? More then likely done just so you don’t get the ultra OP perks as much

Genetic Disaster
Should be early access. Unfinished, buggy, crashes every other time you connect with friends. Unbalanced, one really good character. Totally unsure how to even beat the first boss :D. Enjoyed playing until we got locked out of end of level door. Much like enter the gungeon. Look forward to a complete game someday.

To be completly honest I loved the game when I was getting destroyed but when push came to shove I streamed and had a ball of how fun it was and when I beat it I actually didnt beleive the devs when they said 10 levels and I actually want more to play but for 20$? a bit to much I mean 10 would be nice but for 20$? I want to see updates! I mean the game is gloruis and can be unforgiving at times but that is how it works of how it all revolves around your skill and trying to avoid birds that bombard you and stun you some things will also have sound ques and you will need those for certain things or a close eye but above all else as I said I loved the hell out of it and want to see it grow.

Since my last, long review got a bunch of dislikes I’ll keep this one short.
It ended up not being short though. Oh well. Since the 1.1 update came out it got even longer.
Necropolis looks awesome, sounds awesome, plays average, has no content… unless you stick with it past the first few samey runs, and unlock a ton more more content. The more you play the more shit you unlock for the procedural generator to throw at you, the more secrets get added to the areas you explore, and the deeper into the Necropolis you go the more each subsequent level goes from linear to downright labyrinthian.
