Relicta is a puzzle game and actually the best one I have played since Talos Principle.

Game received for free. Is this a paid review?

Relicta is a first person puzzle game that really wants to be Portal.

Like all such games, it falls well short.

But unfortunately, it doesn’t even manage to stand out particularly as its own thing. Despite its high graphical fidelity and production quality, it starts out promising but ends up falling apart about halfway through, both in terms of gameplay and story.

Like all such games, it has a “core mechanic”. The core mechanic here is the ability to give blocks (and some pads that can hold charges) either a red charge or a blue charge. Opposite colored charges attract, same-colored charges repel.

AntiPodal

AntiPodal

This game is a great callback to a flash game called Shift, and this executes it perfectly. I speedrun it (got the WR, yay!) and it is so fun to optimize. Not much to say about the game, but download it and play it, I’m sure you’ll like it.

AntiPodal is a simple game with a simple concept pulled off elegantly. The opening scene before the game had me chuckling aloud and really set up a lovely platformer. They only criticism I have for this game is that I wish the game saved the completed levels because on relaunching the game for the first time I had forgot what level I left off on and was left to figure that out for myself as my ticks had disappeared.

But truly well done Liam Dehaudt, you blow Mihai Morosanu’s “Rescue Your Chickens” out of the water as the best ‘Save your Chicken’ adventure.

Dadish is one of the cutest platform game out there. The sound track is absolutely incredible, the style is so unique and cute I can’t stop looking at the background eventhough its so simple, the levels are not too easy but can be mastered in couple tries and the dialogues between you and your kids is very hilarious and cute. My only issue with the game is that sometimes the jumping actions can be a bit cancerous so I recommend waiting till the first jumping animation is over to jump again. The price is super cheap too so 10/10 totally recommend it.

Evergate: Ki’s Awakening

Evergate: Ki’s Awakening

I can’t recommend it more to puzzle-platformer lovers.

It’s a free prologue of an indie game, its Visual Effects, Art, Music, and Narrative are apparently elegant and remind me of Ori(Of course this game is much smaller due to the difference in team scale).

The gameplay is not complex, a one-screen platformer for each level, where Ki manages to reach the gate and collect items. The difficulty and fun are to find out one/several possible ways and test our thoughts with those interesting abilities(7 in all).

I agree with the TSA website review where it says:

Evergate has the potential to be an incredible game to play, with its beautiful artwork and animation, and intelligent and well-planned gameplay. Unfortunately, every level feels like a struggle, needing pinpoint precision to complete and move on to the next. It ends up a frustrating experience more than an enjoyable challenge.

Good: The game runs on simple mechanisms, allowing for easy initial gameplay

Artwork and score work wonderfully together

Mimicry

Mimicry

Mimicry is a great game. Despite only being four hours long, there are some really great puzzles throughout the game’s 100 levels. The music is mellow and isn’t distracting, and the new ideas introduced throughout the game make the experience feel fresh. The final boss is a true test of everything throughout the game. I am friends with the developer of this game as well, and I’m happy for his newfound success at the launch of Mimicry. I can’t wait to see what else Anxiety Monster has in store, godspeed!

Im usually not one for puzzle games but I could not put this one down. Very addictive and fun puzzle game, has that big “just one more level” factor to it. It’s also very relaxing game to just put on and chill to.

Seed of Life

A disappointing adventure game that has a forgettable story, tedious gameplay and frustrating platform elements.

Seed of Life is third person adventure game with platforming elements.

Aliens have raped the planet Lumia of resources and left with all the vital life source, Lumium.

Lumium maintains the balance and holds the universe together; Without it life ceases to exist

After completing the game 100%, I’d like to give a review that will hopefully be beneficial to both the game devs and the potential buyers. First and foremost, I give the game a 6/10 and here’s why.

1. The game is lacking. While some of the later sections of some decent puzzle mechanics, most of the game doesn’t have much in the way of puzzles. The platforming has some potential, but lacks the polish to make it a notable indie game. As of now, I barely see a reason as to why it is considered action.

I literally have 20 hours soaked into a game about an apple man trying to find his dog, and goes nude in the sequel because he got pushed too far by his job. These games are the best I’ve ever played. Already 10 years old!
