The Last Stand Legacy Collection

The Last Stand Legacy Collection

It’s pretty much what you’d expect - Legacy Collection of some of the best games I played back in the day, a franchise I still love - Last Stand. All the Premium content is featured for Union City. The games are capped at 30-40 FPS no matter what you do, the horde attacks and flashlight lag are still present in Union City, UC has little to none upscale done to it, there’s also bugs I personally didn’t encounter years ago during the Flash era :

  1. Whenever you travel with a companion to a new area, you can say goodbye to any weapon you’ve gave them, because they reset to the default you’ve recruited them with ;

I cannot sing this collection’s praises enough. I grew up with The Last Stand 1 & 2 on Newgrounds, and never got to experience the full release of Union City. The games are exactly as I remember them, no BS added in to change it. If you want a collection of solid, classic zombie flash games that heavily inspired the original CoD Zombies format (no, I’m not kidding, this series in particular was cited for heavy inspiration), then look no further.

My only con is that sometimes Union City will lag due to amount of onscreen entities. Nothing major, but it is noticeable.

Red Brick Hotel

Red Brick Hotel

Absolute trash, as you’d expect from your typical lazy 12 year old kid who got the almighty GameGuru software for his birthday! And if this trash was actually made by an adult, then that adult needs to be locked up for trying to SCAM Steam users for $17 USD. Unreal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1nnlTt3-5U

Another GameGuru trash game clogging up Steam, and another M.I.S.S. video on you channel. ..Some things never change.

NOT RECOMMENDED. This game isn’t even worth a quarter, much less $16.99 USD. Absurd.

Game Guru continues to be the worst development program.

This game is notable in that it has NPCs.

The enemies shoot through walls and the ever present heartbeat of game guru continues to be annoying as hell.

Definitely avoid this.

Calmed by the Dark Leviathan

Calmed by the Dark Leviathan

The world is way bigger than it needs to be.

Content is locked behind arbitrary electricity walls that you generate over time.

The writing is janky and weird.

While driving around, the sprites stutter and jitter.

Someone spent a lot of time on this but it needs to go back into the ideas pile.

Only about 3 hours of content if you not doing side-quests and trinket hunting, but overall I think the game could be decent, mainly I just want more locations and the exploration should be more exciting. Technically the game could pass as a metroidvania, even though it’s pretty linear for the first 60 minutes, once you unlock the heavy attack it will have more freedom. Stylistically, the game has a lot going on, it feels like a mixture of precision platformer, puzzle platformer and cinematic platformer with the whole ledge grabbing, but generally, I would say the level design feels very puzzle-oriented. I actually like its simple combat mechanics with a slash attack and directional lash, but the enemy design does not take full advantage of it, I think the game could use more agile humanoid enemies. There is only one proper boss fight which I did enjoy because it was very centred around dodging and following up, I think the game needs more of that.

Really beautiful and smooth gameplay. I was hesitant on the game but the trailer caught my eye. Getting my hands on it initially I loved how balanced and smooth the game felt when I was playing. Really gives me a hollow knight or steamworld dig feel to it. I’m excited to get updates on it for the story to continue throughout the months.

It would be a decent idea to have a halo style multiplayer, and less mountain terrain. also possibly some horror aspects?

Zomborg

Zomborg

Severely disgusting and awful little Top Down Shooter game. Graphics are cool, but even that have a issue: needs at least a I5 processor to run or will crash to desktop soon or later; an exagerate requirement for things shown, like flat colors with simple grey shadows. A lot of older products recreate much more with less hardware.

The mechanics is basic: player can carry 2 fireguns and 3 grenades, and thats all. Character haven’t any skills, only can move, get mission objects and shot. Simple rules imply that a game is fast to learn, nothing more. But in this one have been implemented in the most restrictive and worst possible way. Indeed, looks like even an unfinished product.

Real player with 12.3 hrs in game

Game that I would call pleasant in overall.

Not bad graphics, fun gameplay, story not too elaborate but interesting in its own way.

I recommend to be careful in “reading the story” because if you don’t pay enough attention, you may be confused about who is who.

Some grammatical errors in the narration (at least in Italian) but I think we can “fly over” certain things.

Some imprecations here and there when you die randomly but I think this is normal too.

Game completed with all the achievements without particular difficulty and with tranquility in 5 hours.

Zone Anomaly

Zone Anomaly

Year 2106. As a result of the explosion of the power plant in 1986, a pentagonal radiation zone was created. Soon, all access for civilians was cut off. Countries agreed that the area will be managed jointly and used as a training ground for experimental weapons. With the passage of time more and more soldiers began to die in the zone, too much for maneuvers and tests. During the last operation, conducted in March 2106, a distorted radio report came from the zone and the communication ceased. Command stopped any activity inside the zone and sent there its best agent to investigate the situation.
