Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam

It’s not just any random Vietnam battleground. No, it’s groups of people that have been in Vietnam way too damn long to realize what they are doing, shooting at each other with rusty-ass guns held together with bandages and duct tape. Squads are forced to stay close together lest the loners and stragglers are descended upon like starving guard dogs leaping upon a man made out of delicious smoked ham. Rock n' roll blared from radios attached to all vehicles will ensure that, at least once in your life, Creedence Clearwater Revival is the last thing you hear as your body is crushed underneath the tank treads. Every fucking reference to a Vietnam war movie IS IN HERE - AND YES, THIS MEANS YOU TOO CAN BLARE RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES AS YOU GUN DOWN THE VIETNAMESE FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HUEY HELICOPTER, MARTIN SHEEN, YOU CAN BE MARTIN SHEEN YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE, IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?

The Vietnam War was a Cold War military conflict that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. This war followed the First Indochina War and was fought between North Vietnam, and the government of South Vietnam. With the assistance of the US and other anti-commie contries. The Viet Cong, a lightly armed South Vietnamese communist-controlled common front, largely fought a guerrilla war against anti-communist forces in the region.

Battlefield Vietnam is an addon to the award winning Battlefield Bad Company 2. The game takes place during the Vietnam Conflict and is a spin off the the original Battlefield Vietnam. The gameplay is the same as BC2 but its still very good. They have improved helicopter controls and BC2:V has of the era weapons. Over all its a very good expansion and I give it a 9/10

I like the part where I’m launched into the carbon freezing chamber from a friendly grenade.

I like the part where I see a TIE Fighter fly straight into a wall for no reason.

I like the part where I can repair anything by putting a little oil into it.

I like the part where I die instantly under water because I forgot how to hold my breath.

I like the part where I get the traitor award for stepping on too many friendlies in an AT-AT.

I like the part where the AT-AT just explodes after the tow cable is wrapped around 3 times.

Shotgun Farmers

Shotgun Farmers

From my experience after 250 hours in game, playing since June 2020, and winning 5 tournaments:

In the current state of the game I would say DO NOT BUY! - I’ll explain this further down.

Originally I would say that Shotgun Farmers was an amazing FPS game focused pretty much solely on the players skill, with a lovely regrowing ammo mechanic - which I thought would be a simple gimmick however it was very enjoyable and had a lot of practical applications (such as the ability to break crops stopping other players from having ammo). It used to be a run-and-gun, moving fast around the maps picking up crops and taking out enemies, however as the game has progressed, many changes to the play style and countless bugs have reared their ugly heads.

Shotgun Farmers is a great Online multiplayer FPS where Shot bullets grow guns. All gamemodes are great, There are bots, but sadly it lacks an online community. But it certainly deserves one.

The game is very creative, There are vegtable related guns, Like Gromato Launchers, Peavolvers, Carrocket Launchers, WatermelMGs, Chilithrowers and more, There is a fair amount of character customization, Hair, Hats, Costumes, Adjust the colors, Your melee weapon. There are also tons of unlockables here which require some dedication. Many of them require you to play the game around certain events.

Joint Operations: Combined Arms Gold

This game was AMAZING when it came out. I played the beta and got a new video card to play this back in 2004 (before BF2 came out). Unfortunately it feels pretty clunky now and the main reason to play it is probably nostalgia. There are actually still some die hards and nostalgics who still play this and there’s always 1 server with at least 30-40 people (usually playing the vanilla game which is missing some cool stuff that was in the expansion) and some other servers with just a few players. Also the Co-op mode was really popular and had entire clans based around it

The training missions can familiarize you with the game but they can get pretty boring. Also, some of them seemed “bugged” as they wouldn’t finish. Some were so challenging, you will have a hard time finishing them as you can’t save your game. The operations were very fun, however they can get pretty boring as you can’t really single-handedly beat them unless you’re willing to spend an hour or two beating them. It’s best to get some friend(s) and do a LAN party. I had a Co-Op LAN party with some friends and it was a blast!

Arma 3

Arma 3

i have around 4500 hours in this game over around 2 year ( yesss, i got addicted over lockdown ) and have had both good and, well, bad times, however no matter what this game has been alot of fun, from spending 2000+ hours learning how to fly a hummingbird to spending alot of hours learning how to CQC in altis life.

this is not a game you can just play and understand in a few mins, you’ve got to put time and effort into it.

theres a variety of modes to play and alot of downloadable mods that can make the experience best for everyone depending on what you want.

One of the best purchases for video games i ever made. While yes the engine is a little bit buggy at times, this game is by far one the best wartime simulators around. Arma 3 has provided me with many hours of enjoyment either playing single player or multiplayer. The editor is a fun, great and enjoyable tool with many possibilities. This game has pretty much infinite play ability due to the modding community and the Steam Workshop. I can go on forever with many positives…

In Short:

I found this on-sale in some Sci-Fi Steam section, then I googled it, then I got it for my friend and I and we’ve loved it. You can hardly tell it’s an early access game- I have played for almost seven hours without finding a single bug! My recommendations would be to:

1: Add more classes and weapons. Maybe a Medic (TF2 inspired skin?) who could have a slightly increased self healing rate, and an ability to made some sort of mini tether-heal machine, like in the Medical Bay. I think that more weapons would also be cool, especially weapons in favor of one thing, and not the other- like a blowtorch. A blowtorch could be a very short-rage secondary that does high damage to doors and robots, but very low damage to players, or maybe a bomb or C4 that can deal very high damage to door and entities, maybe even the ship, but is a one time use item. Or maybe you can tie in the C4, blowtorch, add a pistol, and you could even make a demolitions expert class!

Great multiplayer game!!!

Here are some details: There can be 6 people on each ship, so 12 players total in PVP matches, or just 6 people in one co-op session vs the AI. The graphics do what they are suppose to do: Be there and convey all the actions going on. There will be times where it looks like to super ships battling it out with all the laser fire going on. That is about it with graphics. The game has pretty in-depth combat with variety of strats you can use to win against both computers and players. Want to focus on defense and getting your pilot ships to do damage? Dooooo it! Want to focus on moving your Capital Ship in for some crazy maneuvering with Gauss Cannons/Laser weapons and the super laser - Go for it. Want to break open a hangar and steal enemy ships or blow up some systems/people? Viable and fun.

Depth

Depth

So is this game worth your time?

TL;DR - Absolutely! Its for those who love the team-deathmatch dynamic with a little twist (the sharks).

I have always loved ocean life, and sharks and the mystery of diving into the unknown is a huge fantasy for most. In Depth you get to explore that world with some goals set in place. Blood & Gold is the most popular game mode in Depth, so my focus will be on what this game mode offers for this review. In this game mode, the divers (4 members) enter the ocean accompanied by a ‘S’ubmersible ‘T’reasure ‘E’xtraction ‘VE’hicle or S.T.E.V.E.. The role of the diver is to scour the ocean for any and all gold, ensure that S.T.E.V.E. successfully retrieves all gold from the safes (4 in total), and protect S.T.E.V.E. through the extraction process as well as the long trek back to the pickup point. The sharks (2 members) are aware of the divers’ presence however. Sharks seek to kill all 34 divers or disable S.T.E.V.E. before their own tickets run out (32 in total) or S.T.E.V.E. escapes. While divers benefit through all gold received through the unlock of new gear/weapons, sharks benefit from every kill made (translated as evolution points) which allow them to unlock new abilities. The 3D navigation for both sides, forced movement through objectives, gradually diminishing visibility, and progression of unlocks makes for an even balance in gameplay (in my opinion).

What I think About Depth

Big disclaimer: this whole review is not fact, it’s opinion.

This review is based off sections, so you can review gameplay reviews for diver & shark respectively. Only looking to play shark or diver? This’ll make it easier for you (BUT I seriously recommend playing both at some point!)

Shark Gameplay Review

1: It’s easier to learn shark than diver, I’ll just be straight up honest. Shark you only need to worry about accuracy for grabbing divers, and being sure to net at least two kills for every death you have; trading lives won’t work!

How do you breathe life into a few years old game that has no real existing player base? Well, if our game is an online shooter, follow the path of Virtual Basement and Code Headquarters, drop the price to a buck for at least a short time, announce it with enthusiasm, and then be there to support your game despite it being several years old with the knowledge that, by doing so, you are basically giving a lot of new players a fun and inexpensive experience that they might otherwise never have known about, which in turn gives your game a whole new lease on life.

Real player with 24.9 hrs in game

30 mins in & this game is incredible & absolutely worth the 99 cent purchase.

You’d be dumb otherwise. You can flawlessly create servers & have people join,

amazing UE4 graphics that run 100-144fps most of the time, max settings,

FX-8350, 8GB DDR3 & 6GB OC GTX 1060.

I wanted to buy it a couple yrs ago, but of course, nobody wanted to play it.

It really sucks when the PC community is so attached to games like CS:GO & PUBG 24/7 (being a long time player of both) which are extremely greedy and not willing to listen to the community, but rather throw in 1,000 microtransactions.
