Game Of Mafia

Wonderful pixel art game! Nice music and beautiful art surprised me. I enjoyed playing this game. It’s a pity that I spent a little time on it, since I finished the game.

Avoid this, like you avoid drinking alcohol in the mornings

1920, New York. Bootleggers, bruised knuckles, and the smell of moonshine in the air. And of course, a man with the American dream. You see, the glitz and glamour of a proper mobster story is right there. However, it takes way more than just an appreciation of The Godfather or Goodfellas to create a game with gangsters at its center. At a glance, I knew Game Of Mafia was intriguing but not to be taken seriously, yet it is a botched opportunity for a simple, retro adventure title.

MushrooMonster is a short, scary, and sometimes funny horror game. You start off with a flashlight on what seems to be an island surrounded by trees. Your objective is to get all 12 brown mushrooms and burn them. Along with those brown mushrooms, there are some red and green mushrooms you can collect, although these don’t count towards the score. The red mushrooms make you a little faster, while also highlighting any brown mushrooms a bright red color. The green mushroom is used to throw at the mushroom monster to make him disappear for a while. I found out that you can actually run away from the monster if you have a full bar of sprint and keep sprinting, resulting in the mushroom monster to disappear. This makes the green mushrooms kind of useless, although it did save me a couple of times when the monster appeared out of nowhere. There is a sound cue of leaves rustling around that the monster makes to let you know it’s about to chase you. After you collect all 12 mushrooms, you are then tasked with going back to where you started where there was a campfire to burn the mushrooms and beat the game. For 4 dollars I can’t really complain about this game. However, there are some things I hope they fix. I hope they highlight the brown mushrooms and red mushrooms so its easier to see in the dark. There were times where I felt I couldn’t find any mushrooms for about 10 minutes and I might have just walked over them. Other than the long time of finding mushrooms, I have no complaints. It’s also funny when the lady runs out of stamina and makes a weird moaning breathing noise lol. Anyways it’s an alright game, if you are unsure if you want to play this, I did make a full game playthrough/let’s play on this game. Thank you and I hope you all have a blessed and spooky day! :) |

I play a lot of horror games on my YT channel, this is very slender-esque but instead of pages it’s mushrooms, to begin with the game is creepy and the ambience is great, plus the added jump scares are always a treat (for the viewers…) but after the first 5-6 mins the game loses it’s scare factor and just becomes a walk and collect game, the initial fear of the monster is long gone and I found myself searching for the last mushroom for about 10 minutes which in turn made me forget everything great about the game.

The hide and seek mechanics are weird. It seems like the ghost girl AI just hones onto the player most of the time. And this is on day one of the game. One time she was inside the house upstairs looking for me because the game before I was upstairs in the last bedroom where she always found me. So I think she was looking where I was the last game but I tried hiding in the garage. After that she always found me in the garage. She was close enough that I could see her through a window in the garage door but yet there was no danger sound.

I played this game because I quite like the first one, here comes the (first?) review:

3 characters, no hidden character or such.

Each has different style of punching combos.

I like the fact that you can spam a flykick-uppercut combo from early stage, but in later stage you can’t because all the enemies start blocking.

Also make me think, how come they can block attacks but I can’t, that could be useful.

Compare to the first one, no unlockable characters, which is a little disappointing.

Bigfoot Forest

Bigfoot Forest

the best $0.49 game you’ll ever buy. With a simple concept and lore you’re able to build your own story. You decide why you track Bigfoot down to the suburbs to hunt him or that you came back from a trip to disney land and ran out of gas trying to get out of there as fast as possible. Theres many ways to play and things to discover as long as you just look for them. The forest suburb setting is pretty nice. You can either raid the suburb for gas or take to the forest to hunt bigfoot easier. The game can get a little scary when you lose track of bigfoot and he sneaks up on you. The bigfoot model may be the perfect embodiment of fear itself. The unknown tall figure running towards you in the night so fast you hit the floor dead before you can even say “hey dude.” you can get creative with the cars and fences around to find better ways to get around the big feet stalker. This game lets you get pretty creative. all in all this game does just what it says and lets you hunt bigfoot, you can change it up from its simple premise if you just try. 9/10 bigfoot game

Full play through with sasquatch murder ending and all gas tank endings:

I had to rebuy this game cause after reading the about for the game just to be fair. You do have a gun. There’s no controls in game that let you know or anything to even hint that you have a gun at the start. You have to scroll your mouse wheel. Sadly the game doesn’t have much pay off regardless if you find the gas tanks or kill sasquatch it’s the same lame ending. Positives the game does work once you figure out how to draw your gun and it can be tense when sasquatch runs off after you shoot him while your collecting gas tanks since his timing is sporadic and unreadable. The creators should have really made the pterodactyl screech more for when he hits you instead of when you hit him for jump scare when he sneaks up on you since there’s no sounds when he’s approaching and him screeching when you hit him gets old fast. It’s alright for 84 cents.

Remove the achievement for 200 levels of dungeon crawling, no one wants to do that… if anyone has or bothers to in the future, I feel really bad for them. I will not be bothering. The ridiculously long wait time, while the game is running, after level 160+ is criminal, especially after having sunk a straight week and half of vigilant attention. I see no reason to trade off from ore gains, etc, to forge bonuses, I tried on one ascension to bother with forge upgrades and it was mega-depressing. remove these stupid unit items that do nothing, like EVERY MAGIC UNIT ITEM… Do you want to upgrade the bonuses granted by use of the staves, wands, books power/patience/whatever? NO! I DO NOT! I WANT TO GET TO LEVEL 170, THANK YOU! I want to be DONE already, thank you! Sitting around the Octillion-Nonillion ranges, 165+ Level, all Units sitting between 300 highest to 110 Lowest (‘Shapes of Damage - Units’ the last five possible units, all over 100, with tems, etc…) Do something to fix this and I will change my review.

Even though this game is released in early access, it is far from complete and not made with common user experiences in mind. Here’s some reasons of why you shouldn’t buy this game at this point:

-There’s no key re-binding. The only mention of controls is through dialogue at the very beginning and the main menu tells you nothing.

-During character dialogue, pressing tab or control allows you to edit their text lines, and you can’t back out of this “debug” mode unless you restart the game save.

Okay, look at how bad the trailer looks and then understand that the trailer makes this game look about 50 times better than it actually is.

This game and developer should be FINED.. and then have his face SLAPPED HARD… for one reason. He has maximum MOTION BLUR and NO SETTING TO TURN THIS CRAP OFF! WTF?!!? Yes, fine this guy AND slap the hell out of him!

It’s buggy, it’s not fun to play. It’s much more comedy than it is a fun “action shooter”. If you think ridiculous bugs like a bridge breaking apart for no reason and spinning at 3,000 spins per minute in mid air. Ugh. LOL! No, UGH!

Dark Forest: Lost Story VR

Dark Forest: Lost Story VR

You can view my review & gameplay here:

This is a horror game for VR that currently only has 1 of 2 story chapters available. The story of Baba Yaga can be split up into three different parts, plus the intro. Whole thing took me approximately 1 hour, but I took the scenic route (which leads to many deaths unfortunately). I think you can easily finish this game in 30 minutes otherwise.

The intro is just really walking from point A to point B while some scary stuff happens. The first part is simply figuring out how to get through the level (finding the key and where to use it) and you may come across the Baba Yaga and she will kill you if you don’t escape. The second part is mostly chasing sequences where you have to find enough obects hidden within the areas. The last part is a horror stealth section where you have to figure out the patrols of enemies who hear very well, but can’t see.
