The Owl Quest

The Owl Quest

Came across this game from a recommendation. This is a fun little retro game full of crazy wacky storylines. Sure the english is not perfect, but that adds to the charm. I think its fun to lose yourself for an hour or 2 to this game and just enjoy the wackiness.

PreReview:

It has some minor influence in Zelda. I’d say there is a greater amalgam of original ideas at play that you don’t get to see when presuming its just a Zelda clone.

Great writing, evident character diversity, and heart-tugging dialogue that was never quite there with classic Zelda games. Can’t compare them at the moment, except for being a classic style adventure game.

Oh, and the OST absolutely smacks.

Easy recommendation.

While looking like a simple Gameboy game, Prodigal displays a very competent understanding of level design, narrative structure, and character development. Many games on the market emulate older, retro-style games with varying degrees of success. Prodigal not only nails it completely, but also builds upon it with modern techniques and inventive ideas.

The dungeons you explore in the first half of the game are paced well, following a classic formula established by the Legend of Zelda series where you gain new items. The second half of the game takes all your abilities into consideration and bases the dungeons around using all your abilities along with any dungeon gimmicks. In addition, there are optional dungeons with unique bosses you can find based on your town progression.

Fear Protocol: Shadow Paradigm

Fear Protocol: Shadow Paradigm

The game isn’t particularly “good”, but you can beat it in 6 minutes while laughing about it in Discord & it’s free so play it anyways.

Do you enjoy

Guns?

Explosions?

Action?

A soundtrack that almost never suits the atmosphere?

Hand to hand combat?

A thrilling story?

Violence?

Highly inaccurate hitboxes?

Gore?

BIOMONSTERS!?

Saving California?

Life or death decisions?

If you answered yes (and even no) to any of these questions, then this game is for you!

On a completely real note, I streamed this game from start to finish and had a blast almost the entire time. Is it a triple A title? Absolutely not. Is it a humorously entertaining hour or so? Absolutely.

Mussoumano: Ataque dos Haters

Very good, but why don’t you have Chinese? As the largest market in the world, if there is Chinese, more people will play it.

There are some difficulties in the game. If it can be saved, it will be better if it can be revived from the place of death rather than from the beginning

Poi

I’ve been playing this game since the very, very early versions of the Early Access release, before cameras and costumes were a thing, but I’ve taken a long, long time to write a review, mostly because I’m having a hard time to fully express my feelings about this game. There are way too many things to talk about, which means this is going to be a rather lengthy review, and it might also be all over the place due to the amount of stuff that comes to mind, but let’s dive right in.

I’ve spent most of my teenage years and all of my early adulthood wishing for the “perfect” 3D platformer, one that combined most of the things I like in a single, awesome package. I dreamed of a game with a rich, vast world to explore. It had to have a lot of secrets and tricks to discover, but it also had to have well designed platforming and action to boot, and the atmosphere had to evoke feelings of childlike wonderment and adventurous endeavors in boththe soundtrack, the visuals and the story. The characters had to be adorable and stylish, and the gameplay had to be smooth and thrilling.

Poi is a good Mario clone. End of story now get out of the review section and buy the game if you want to kill a good 32 hours collecting things.

okay that’s not entirely true so read this instead

PLOT

You and your sister run away from the city in order to find Adventure. On your adventure to find adventure you meet up with Mario in his mid 80’s who asks you to get his sonic ring with ribbons attached to it down from a tall stump due to him being a crotchety old man who can’t do it himself. So you jump to the top of the stump, grab his ring and when you bring it back to him he tells you that the ring is called an “Explorers Medallion” and they are foudn all over the world. So he asks you and your sister if you want to get on his magic flying whale blimp to find him and since choice matters as much as it did in TellTale’s Walking Dead Season 1 in this game, you say yes and off the three of you go to go get the Medallions and save the world or something
