Lil Big Invasion
Awesome indie game with way enough content to fit the bill. Its kinda like Pikmin except they are trapped in dungeons and you must find and rescue them.
Really loved the sound and the art-style. Dungeons are getting way harder and better later on and the boss fights are fun. It took me some time to get used to the controls tho. Exploration is great IF you figure out how the moths and the worms do work… which is not part of the tutorial :/

This is a fun little action adventure game, developed by my former colleague Andreas. It’s so cute, but challenging ‘til the last minute and the sounds are really funny, even if the little fireflies sometimes don’t behave as you want them to. But that’s the trick of the game and you’ll soon know how to handle them right in order to crack some highscores. Overall, an awesome game!

Escape of Mari: The Polar Ladybug
Who knew that a tiny ladybug could cause so much headache? Help Mari navigate and make your brain twist for a solution in this frozen puzzler that will warm up your hearts. It’s difficult but fair.
It’s a very underappreciated game that got lost with a high initial price. It was worth that price as it is actually very very good but nobody ever gave it a chance.. I’ve had it for quite some time but unfortunately couldn’t review it (before the price drop).
Given the price reduction BUY IT A-S-A-P as you are missing out. Very nice stages, good design, smooth gameplay and a real puzzler that will take a lot of your time to finish. It can frustrate at times but you will get the handle of it and feel accomplished in the end of the level.

Cube Mission
36 levels, well-designed, reasonably polished, no blatant glitches throughout the game if you don’t count the “thanks for playing” screen[1].
For $2, it’s short, sweet, to the point and doesn’t drag on. This is basically Cubots , if it were designed properly. Barring some moments where the rules seem to arbitrarily contradict themselves[2], there’s no crappy physics engine to be seen, it isn’t accidentally a sokoban, and in fact one of the levels was so well-designed that it reminded me of Stephen’s Sausage Roll, because it was evil. I’m talking about the level where you have to take a red cube through several bridges guarded by spike cubes.

A simple execution game, not much of a puzzler as it’s not hard to figure out how to solve the ‘puzzles’, except for a few. Takes about an hour to finish, overall not worth it there are better puzzlers.

Smart Gecko

Smart Gecko is essentially a simple variant of the “don’t cross your own path” puzzle sub-genre. It could have been a passable way to spend a little time, but for the fact that zero effort has been made to fix some pretty glaring issues.
It should have been simple: Move your gecko one space at a time in order to eat all the fireflies and finish the board. Yet there are multiple problems, least of all the lack of a tutorial. It seems like that would be unnecessary, but at least two of your losses will be figuring out that turning into a wall makes your gecko explode violently, as does walking into a pillar (in the game’s overhead view, the pillar looks like something you can walk over). There is no way to undo a bad move, which will happen more than you’d like due to the inexplicable lag after pressing a movement key. There is a timer that doesn’t seem to do anything, and no option to play without it. Finishing a level means you have to actually maneuver your gecko to the edge of the screen, and then press another key to move it off the screen. The problem with this (besides the obvious redundancy) is that you cannot tell where the actual correct path is. And since, as I’ve mentioned, there is no undo key, you’ll just have to start over.
