Gunspell 2 – Match 3 Puzzle RPG

Great idea, not well executed. Pvp pitched battles against enemies frequently a higher level than you. Responses that feel robotic and automatic, not personal, makes me wonder quite often if I am fighting a hman at all. To grow you chars or team takes a long time, but every time you achieve a growth, your pitched against better players than yourself. The losinf really takes its toll. The time for each abttle is also too long. In this day and age, why would anyone need so long to make a move? It becomes a ‘bore your opponant out’ move' effectively cheating to win. I’ve played a lot of hours and discovered that my percentage of going first in matches is equal to 30%. The whole game is sisded against you , imo to make you spend money to improve. Instead, just let people enjoy the experience/ Please, make some changes, make it fairer. Otherwise I have to recommend people play ‘Gems of War’ which is a much better game and a far happier experience. At least you can pick the level of your pvp challenge, rather than face an anwinable waste of time.

a really well done game and really nice improvements over the first gunspell game like more characters and epic heroes to play with more smooth and intense combat animations nicer grapchics too i really hope for a gunspell 3 in the future cause boy i am hook with this series :D

This is kind of sad, it’s in the style of the first Ninja Stealth, so it is better than Ninja Stealth 2, but it’s a downgrade from 1 in several ways.

The first one had an interesting interconnected maze between the puzzles that created a larger atmosphere and the music kept the pace of the game flowing naturally. Two went off and became a weird RPG-ish mimic that wasn’t as good as the original.

Three is back to the style of one with the puzzles, but it lacks the interconnecting maze; each puzzle is a stand alone small room so there’s no larger sense of exploration anymore. And it completely lacks music during the puzzles, it’s only on the menu. One of the best parts of the previous games was the music and it’s missing.

Like it a lot!

Absolutely worth a look if you like puzzle games, and maybe even rythm games like Rockband, DDR etc. TL;DR- I find it to be fun and addictive, in the good way. Buy it; it’s like $3.

It’s a fusion of your match-3 type puzzle games (Columns, Bejeweld, Candy Crush etc) with a timer aspect like the rhythm games have, mixed in special moves and an RPG aesthetic- something like an RPG version of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.

As with many puzzle games, the things speed up during the course of the game/match, which ups the level of excecution required- unlike just using a keyboard to move directions and a button to rearrange like your classic puzzle games (Tetris, Columns, Puyo Puyo etc), you use your mouse to move around tiles of the same color together to form gems (chargers), which allow you to destroy the tiles/runes of enemy monsters. This gives you more freedom, but also allows for a challenge, since you have to figure out what to move where, before things scroll offscreen, resulting in either the loss of assets, or taking damage from an enemy rune which was not destroyed or moved.

A swiping/tapping match-3 game where matches equate to attacks in classic RPG battles. The concept of having a party of characters with interesting special abilities makes this match-3 game far more interesting than others of its kind and the levelling mechanic also being a match-3 is a clever touch. The music choices and unlockables are also pleasant. Easy is exactly that. Normal is reasonable, but challenging. Hard is ludicrous. All in all, it is a briefly fun experience, but is clearly designed for the mobile systems from which it was ported.

I’m sorry to say that this game is very unimpressive, regardless it being free. The instructions are on the steam page if you wish to find out how to play, therefore it jumps you right into the game. There is sooooo much wasted empty space. The matching eggs and so forth can easily be put into a simple smaller grid. The description describes like you can compete against someone, but If you can, I have no idea.
