Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King is a top down adventure game in the fashion of ye olde Zelda classics such as A Link to the Past. Though that much should be obvious from the screenshots and trailer but maybe you never played the old Zelda games, I dunno. Game is best played with a gamepad and doesn’t control well with K&M, though it’s not impossible if you have to play it like that. Graphically it has a colorful 16-bit theme and support for high resolutions, I was playing in 1080p so I can say that one works for sure. Musically it’s okay. It has a few catchy tunes that fit the theme and tone. And the sound effects perfectly replicate that 16-bit feel.

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King is a really nice tribute to the Zelda: A Link to the Past and alike RPGs of the SNES era, with similar graphics, hack-n-slash action, music, sound effects, puzzles, and difficulty (okay, this last bit is debatable, but everything about this game feels like you are back playing one of those games.)

Breath of the Forest

Breath of the Forest

In my opinion ‘Breath of the forest’ has received more attention to the adventure part, the physics and also those of the enemies / combat are not like some other VR games but this does not take away the challenge in the game.

A demo is also available for those who want to try it out first.

In ‘Breath of the forest’ you are a native of a tribe chosen by Mother Nature to protect the fauna and flora.

This is also based on Brazilian stories.

The game does not play in an open world but instead you will move locations from one location to another via teleports,

Good game, the style is very different from the most common games in virtual reality and is quite fun, I recommend.

Play Everhood!! (and nominate the game for best soundtrack!)

–——-

How did this slip my radar?

How are none of my friends talking about this game?

Every year if I am lucky I come across a game so good I wish I could go back in time just to play it for the first time again - and that game always becomes by Game of The Year. That game for me this year is Everhood. And I knew that within 30 minutes of playing the game. I’m nominating the game for Best Soundtrack – cause the OST is amazing and I feel it has a better chance of winning a nomination in that category but it was hard not to vote it as GOTY just from my personal experience with the game.

Everhood is probably one of my favorite games I’ve played this year!! I’m nominating it for best soundtrack because oh my god. There is not one song in this game’s OST that I actively dislike.

The character design and writing is SO good and I found myself liking almost every single one I’ve encountered.

This game can be so weird and funny but at the same time I’ve cried just thinking about the ending!!!

It’s just… REALLY good, I can’t think of much else to say. Putting things into words is really hard for me, but I hope this got my feelings across well.

Beyond that its fine. Not great.

Summary

This is a magic flavored action game where you fight enemies by shooting magics and summoning minions. The emphasis of its progression system is on levels and gears; there is not much you can do action-wise except for kiting. The gears are collected as drops with at most 4 random attributes, where the attributes may be transferred to other items to create your desired set. Later in the game, most of the fun will be around gathering drops and combining them to make your character more powerful, and doing time attack runs.

Persona® 5 Strikers

Persona® 5 Strikers

Anyone familiar with the Warriors games will have a rough understanding of what to expect. But this time around the Persona mechanics are integrated quite well, making it a very different experience than any Warriors game before it - if anything, the much larger number of enemies than normal for a Persona game necessitates a stronger focus on the weakness system in order to maintain an advantage. And yes, Persona collection and fusion are still core mechanics as well. Overall, it lends itself to using very different tactics than a normal Persona game, and combinations I wouldn’t have really bothered with outside of this game. The story and cutscenes are completely faithful to what one would expect of Persona, and I felt were very fulfilling.

This was a fantastic game. The turn based game play was translated beautifully into this action adventure style. The stories and characters where as fun as ever and it feels like they never left. Picks up right where the last game left off. Highly recommend.

Dont listen to salty people with 0.2 hours on record. In order to learn control you need at least half hour or more.

It took me 1.7 hours to reach third level.

Because of high difficulty and level desing that make game orginal and will make you spend hours for each level (before nerf), but at the end there will be a glorius feeling like beating boss in Dark Soul (im first person who beat game if we dont count developer)

Graphic and animation fit game perfect.

Overall game is just amazing that is hard to belive price is so low

The cute physics based casually looking plat-former that quickly loses it’s skin as anything but casual. Understanding 100% of the mechanics and physics is required to master any level. Mastery is not difficult though the majority of playtime will be spent figuring out paths and the correct balance between speed and player initiated acceleration. Levels are short and there aren’t many though Smile’N’Slide is in itself uniquely redeeming.

If you do not read the guide in the community section you will not be smiling. Each level starts you out with points which are yours to lose or increment based on your actions. There is not one way to play though I can’t see myself repeating levels, perhaps to beat the developers score.

I must say that the game is quite entertaining and with a good story that if you play it without playing two and one you will not understand and one bad thing I have to say is that in the 2-2 world I do not understand how to get the chest of fire and it seems that it is good and I’m not sure please I want the hitcents to try to fix it or something

I’ve only completed the firsdt fout levels so far, but I can say that this is pretty much a straight mobile port like the two previous ones on Steam. There’s barely any keyboard support so you have to move and choose pencils with your mouse.

It’s also considerably buggy. So far I’ve encountered a bug in which the drawing menu keeps popping up which disables me from drawing tools and is also very annoying.

I know it’s less than a dollar, but this is an unfinished alpha that should be in Early Access or—since it’s been unfinished for 3 years now—delisted from the Steam Store.

There’s a lot of ambition and work here—far better than I could currently do on my own—but it’s tough to get though. I’m a huge pirate fan, so I’m constantly searching for good pirate games. This unfortunately isn’t one of them. Sadly, it could have been, if finished and polished.

Initially, I managed to play the first level of this game, and that was as far as I got before I received the message, “Unfortunately, this is how far you’ll get for now.. However, you are now a part of something that we believe in and we won’t stop until this game has reached it’s full potential. We are going to release a new chapter every Sunday”. I waited for a few weeks and went back to the game. I was able to get a tiny bit further on the next attempt but ran into another roadblock. I’ve done every quest, walked around every square foot of the game area, and I can’t find anyway to continue on. I was wiling to forgive the poor controls and bad user interface, but it’s extremely frustrating that the game is unfinished. Do not waste your time with this game. It has promise but not in it’s current state.

Wells

Wells

A slightly broken run and gun game set in the steampunk world, but does it have potential? Yes it does, the game itself is a lot of fun, but infuriating when it doesn’t work like it’s meant to be, sometimes your character just spasms out, and seems to be immortal at others.

The world you’re in is amazing drawn, with high attention to detail and graphics, I love the steampunk theme, it gives it a lovely vibe, the controls freeze at times but mostly they’re smooth and responsive.

I’d advise you to wait on this game a bit till it gets fixed, otherwise this could be a wonderful game.

Wells feels like maybe someone’s first or second commercial game. It aims to run at 60 FPS but drops frames pretty regularly (maybe 58 FPS if you average it out, it can be adjusted to) the voice acting was clearly all done by one person just to have it in the game, and the last cutscene mentions an artifact that we never see before then. All told though? The weapons all have different uses for both combat and progression (and it’s not just pistol/shotgun/rifle either, there are some surprises in there,) the art direction is really nice from start to finish, and some of the boss fights are really quite memorable.
