Reverse Module

Reverse Module

A classical RPG about Utopia/Dystopia balance.

We are in a world with two major cities striving for Utopia.

In the first city people have a microchip on them that doesn’t allow them to hurt other people but they only put it on if they want to and get paid for it.

Also this microchip is used for the economy, so if a person has a positive thought about the actions of another person the other person gets some money and vice versa.

Also in this world there are some creatures that affect the area around them in different ways. One of these creatures has stolen the voices of children from the first city.

Tortured Hearts - Or How I Saved The Universe. Again.

I’m not much of a review writer, so I’m not going to do an in-depth analysis, but 150+ hours in I’ve become completely addicted to this game. As advertised, it’s old school in the larger sense of its design and flow, but it has elements and specifics that are entirely unique. It is difficult at first to figure out how some things work, so you do what pretty much all old school RPG’rs did: play for a while, figure out how things work, then start a new game for real. There’s a huge demo that can serve that purpose for you. This is not one of those games with 40 hours of cut scenes and an onscreen arrow pointing you to what you need to do next, where flashy graphics (that sometimes even work) substitute for game play. You will get quests that you will not be able to solve until well into the game, and you’ll have to stop and think about where you need to go and who you need to talk to. If you want a game that holds your hand and points you to every answer, this is not for you. If you want to solve things on your own, can handle some frustration and you value the game over flash, I think this is a great game for you.

Game has some great potential but just far too frustrating. I fully get the concept of trying not to “hand hold” to make the game more difficult, but so much of this game is just running all over the map just hoping you find the right person to talk to and trigger the correct speech line. The entire game is mostly just based on brut force.

Then there is the combat system. You have no control at all over what your team does in combat. To make it worse, the AI is horrible. You will find your team wasting mana casting a cc spell on an already cc’d enemy or casting the same spell over and over that the enemy is immune to. A strong monster will be one hit away from death and your mage will cast three straight buffs instead of killing the monster.

Great adventure game; perfect way to employ my older son (8) for hours with an activity that requires brain, thinking, reading etc as opposed to just numblessly staring at Youtube.

We played the Hebrew version which was perfect for him since he can’t read English.

Hardly any guidance was required from my side as the game is very intuitive and the kid was carried away into hours of playing it (from time to time he came to share with me his experiences and adventures from the game).

Go get it, it is definitelly a covid-19 must have!!

Excellent!

The ultimate saving for our children. I encountered this game during the Covid-19 lockdown period. We have 3 children (ages 11,9 & 4). After going crazy for a few days in the house, the children were introduced to the game. They immediately started to play TOGETHER which was just fabulous! They set with the Challenges and riddles AS A TEAM which we really liked.

It is just wonderful to watch all 3 of them play together trying to unlock the quest.

Highly recommended!!

The game has one of highest toxic community I have ever seen, those people publicly admitted to using bugs to take advantage of the game instead of reporting them, the content is very short right now and there is a balance issue as well as it needs a lot of quality of life improvement.

The game in overall is based on action combat even thought there is a tab targetting that allows to use special class ability.

The leveling has absolutly no reward, only equipments matter, killing rats will give you more exp than doing dungeons.

The game is pretty fun, still lots of content being worked on at the moment that’s yet to come in the game and there isn’t much benefit in playing hours and hours per day to the point it starts feeling like a chore so you can take your time with the game and be patient, go at your own pace. The community and people in discord are friendly and helpful as well, don’t hesitate to ask for advice.

Some people have been writing reviews about Zeus saying he’s toxic, but after playing for over 300 hours and frequently with all of the other active players, this hasn’t been the case at all and he even changed my name for free with the exception I was new, which wasn’t an offered service. Both the devs are nice people and they have a discord you can join to talk with the community and make suggestions for the game which they are very open to.

Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim

EDIT June 20, 2016: The New Game+ DLC is here!

The DLC improves the game a fair bit in my opinion. I am a sucker for dating sims, as my library can attest. This one keeps it interesting by not letting you date everyone at once, and having the characters actually mention something about it. Unfortunately, no one appears to be polyamorous, but there’s definitely more than just heterosexuality, which I know a lot of people look for in a game. The quests here are still just as ridiculous, but I grew even more attached to characters, especially ones I didn’t know you could recruit in the base game! It’s zany, keeps the humour, and lets the player in on the inner thoughts of various characters. Also university is always a fun setting to play a game in.

I received this game for free as a curator connect offer for my group Visual novel, JRPG, Anime, and bought the DLCs with my own money. Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim is a supernatural parody visual novel with RPG elements by Stegalosaurus Game Development. It features a female or male protagonist by the name of Perry Hollycraft who is tasked to lead the Deep Ones (subterranean dwellers living in a remote volcanic island) to conquer the inhabitants of Innsmouth, a small coastal town in New England.

Jurassic Fantasy

Jurassic Fantasy

I really enjoyed this game!

At first I completely missed that you could put points into your stats by clicking on them so I moved around at the lowest speed, attack and defense which, needless to say, didn’t go well at all.

However, once I figured out how to increase stats it became 100x more enjoyable!

I eagerly await Jurassic Fantasy II!

I’m really enjoying this game, but each time I play, the game ends up going to a black screen at some random point (typically ~10-20 minutes in) and it shows a picture of a sad computer. There’s no way to back out of that and return to the game. I wouldn’t mind so much if there was a way to save/not start over every time it happens. Any assistance would be appreciated!

4/22/21 Edit: I’m sorry, I really like the game, but I have to recommend against it at this point because it keeps crashing before I can finish it.

Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim: Black GOAT of the Woods Edition

I´ve seen this game come up along with some others when I was looking for certain tags.

I looked at it but was not sure if it´s going to be good or not by the pictures you get on the shop page.

However, it got recommended to me and so I finally decided to buy it.

Started it without neither knowing what type of game it is (expected it to be a visual novel) nor what´s going to await

me anyways…

However… starting to play I can say this game is hughe fun. You meet a lot of different characters / creatures.

Blue Horizon

Blue Horizon

Well what can i say it’s a good game but has many bugs and issues but they are getting sorted by the Developer

PLEASE NOTE…this game is playable to a point in the game as the patch 1.0.8 has not corrected all the issues with the save and load process you still can’t save upgrades bought from a shop keeper in the city also the quest you get from the pirate in the inn where you pay 50 gold pieces for the quest he marks it on your map but when you save and load back up it is no longer there on your map, also it does not save any provisions you have collected.

Update: I no longer recommend Blue Horison.

The updates have practically stopped. There were a few after the game went live, and I think there was one a couple months ago, but there have not been significant changes to the game. Even with bug fixes, there are fundamental problems with Blue Horizon and it seems the developer is done with the game, which is a shame.

As far as stability, the game is solid. Visually, the game is pleasing and immersive (and less clunky than it was initially), but the functions within the game work against the immersion by smearing it with a feeling of low-budget-indie-developer who has reached the limits of his talent. Look up MDickie.com as an example. I don’t mean to be cruel here, it’s just that the player has minimal impact on the in-game world which limits interaction and the developers are okay with that, as if the game is a prof of concept demo. I understand that the game is Story-Driven, but it detracts heavily from RPG elements. I prefer to see a labor of love with the developers churning out patches and updates, you know, actual development that says this is a project more than a product. In this case, the game feels like a product on rails intended for a quick and incidental sale. Maybe this game will be a stepping stone in Blue Horizon Studios' journey into the single-player pirate genre (a genre long neglected), hopefully with something ground breaking later.
