Unruly Heroes
Unruly Heroes is a well made game, packed with action focus + various platformer.
4 characters have their own unique ability, for solving different puzzles and have distinctive benefits against different bosses.
The original story of Journey to the West, the Monkey King (孫悟空) fought and killed the Skull Demon (白骨精) 3 times. The Skull Demon in the game is designed to have 3 stages, Magic Design Studios has certainly catch such detail.
Another touch of the detail is about the Monkey King, MK has a lot of monkies in his tribe (猴子猴孫), and his special move is to call everyone to strike on the enemies. MK also has a Golden Cudgel which can expand or shrink at MK’s will, and the dev team used this feature for various challenges.

Fun blend of platforming and side-scrolling combat. I think there are games out there that do this better, but I’m also missing part of the experience due to the limit of co-op being local. It’s still worth a play, and look forwards to see what these guys do going forwards. This Wukong is my place-holder until the next Warriors Orochi game, or Black Myth.
*Just finished this game. It gets a 6.7 / 10 from me (Slightly above average).
It has great music, and a nice art style. The platforming is its strength, and the combat is pretty weak and boring. It’s clear this game is designed to play mainly as Wukong or Big Blue, as some of the obstacles feel damn near impossible with the other two lame characters. Speaking of characters, as you can tell from my use of the words Big Blue, they are super forgettable from a mixture of terrible voice acting, and no real story progression. They had great source material to pull from, but opted for just following the theme. The characters are also not helped by no progression from upgrades to help feel invested. The bosses are quite similar, and rather boring to fight. Lady White was the only fun boss, and she was the first one. (And Kings of the Underworld if you can count those).

Rushing Beat Of Rage
《Rushing Beat Of Rage》 is a hardcore action fighting game. Players who like classic arcade games should not miss it. The hearty floating combo and the quickly block are the favorites of operation enthusiasts.
Game Features
- Co-op Mode
Support two-player cooperation mode, support remote play together, you can play with your Steam friends!
Perfect gamepad support, such as Xbox360, the whole game can be completed with the gamepad, gamepad enthusiasts good news!
Steam cloud save support, don’t worry about local save lost!
Support Steam achievements, Steam global leaderboards, check out the leaderboards in the game, and play with friends all over the world!
- Floating Combo
This game uses a strict floating combo system, which is no longer a fake or unrestricted floating combo.
Floating combo: refers to the ability to continue to attack the enemy after knocking the enemy into the air, in order to cause more combo num and damage.
Floating combo Limit: Observe the “four actions and two no-repeat” rule, that is, after the enemy is floated, a maximum of four actions are added, and the same action can be used up to two times. After this limit is exceeded, the floating combo will be forcibly terminated (normal attack and Jump attack is not subject to this restriction).
- Block System
This game uses a strict blocking system, which extremely tests the player’s hand speed. After a successful block, you will get a short invincibility time. The invincibility time will increase as your character level up.
In Crazy Mode, it is recommended that players use more blocks and use the invincible time after the block is successful to move. In addition, there is a short invincibility time after the blood kill, please use it with caution.
- Level Up System
In order to increase growth, this game adds an level up system. Characters gain points by hitting or props. After the points reach a certain value, they will be level up. When the character reaches level 10 and 20, certain actions will be strengthened and changed.
As the level increases, the character’s attack power and blood volume will increase accordingly. The level can be increased infinitely, and the attack power and maximum blood volume are limited.
- Weapon System
In order to increase the fun of the game, this game uses a storable weapon system. Players can collect various weapons such as AK, rifles, bazookas, etc., use them as much as they want, and put them back in their backpacks when they are not needed.
- Crazy Mode
In addition to the traditional pass mode, the game has a new ultra-high difficulty Crazy Mode. In the Crazy mode, there are a large number of soldiers and bosses, and the enemy’s attack, blood volume, and AI are greatly improved. It requires extremely skilled operations to pass the level.
- BOSS Rush
BOSS Rush mode is a mode to directly challenge the BOSS. In this mode, there is no interference from soldiers, and players can enjoy various floating combo.
This mode lasts for 12 levels, and there are even 2BOSS and 3BOSS levels behind it, which is an excellent place to level up and show operations.
About development
This game was made by a person who spent a whole year and carefully polished it. The full-time development process is very difficult and it is not easy to finish it.The original intention of making this game was to miss the arcade games that were often played as a child. Are those games that were once all the rage really going to be forgotten by history?
If you like arcade games, please support this game. If the sales volume is good, there will be a sequel version later.
BROK the InvestiGator - Prologue
(Disclaimer: I was involved in this game as a voice actor, though not for anything in this demo. I’ve not been pressured to write a positive review, however, and went into this game blind. My thoughts are my own.)
TL:DR? It’s fresh. It’s fun. It’s free. Go play it.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this game. When you work on projects within the indie game world, you always hope that they turn out great. From everything this demo showcases, Brok has the moxie and charm to be something special.

Completed on Hardcore difficulty with a wired Xbox 360 controller. (Also my first ever review; apologies for the formatting)
The best way to describe my experience with this demo is that it’s a game I never knew I wanted. I found BROK mainly because I was bored but also because Steam related it to Disco Elysium, so I was inclined to try it. After my first few playthroughs, these were aspects of the game that stuck to me most.
Gameplay and Features
The voice acting is phenomenal. Casting is on point, especially Brok’s voice actor (Bryan J Olson) who makes Brok a very charming individual with his animated delivery.

Hard Steel
this is just plain bad. at one point i managed to remove the absolutely brain dead AI from the ring, and nothing would get them to respawn short of restarting the entire game. Frequently your hits will damage you instead of the AI. As far as I can tell, your commands are limited to WASD movement and the key to engage your weapon. The game tells you to press ‘c’ to use your weapon, but it seems it’s actually ‘e’ but it doesn’t work all the time, so maybe that’s incorrect? ‘C’ does nothing. There’s no menu option to view key bindings so good luck with that. There are 3 total vehicles you can use, 1 of which (throwup bot?) doesn’t actually engage when you are under the opponent, rendering its only weapon useless. There is only one arena, and the hazards don’t actually damage you or the AI. Obviously, no multiplayer. No progression or customization. The game costs $13 and you’ll play it for 10 minutes. Avoid this game. My goodness, this was a bad one.

Plasma Puncher
It had everything to be a great game but unfortunately CHEAPNESS destroys this game
So much annoying, bad or just unfun stuff:
-
horrible hitboxes
-
enemies spawning INSTANTLY inside you and hitting you while invulnerable
-
2 enemies spawning instantly in your surrounding and blocking your character
-
lack of sound queues (bomby spawned in the middle of a pack? guess you’re dead)
-
lack of clear mechanics (what the fuck is that ovni mini boss)
-
some enemies are just frustrating to deal with, specially those with invulnerability and the ability to damage you at the same time

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues
It sure is nice to have a new beat em up to play. They don’t make too many of these anymore. I particularly like the tie in to the excellent Cobra Kai netflix series. Unlike the show, don’t expect this to have any good writing (save for the genuinely funny one liners that the characters have after winning a fight). This is purely a fighting game, one that is clearly a loving homage specifically to the Streets of Rage series. It’s both better and worse than Streets of Rage 4, which I’ll get in to later. Everyone you run across in the street from hippies to mothers to emo kids are all inexplicably out for your blood, which is funny in its own regard. Sometimes characters will provide humorous meta commentary on this. Every character of note in the netflix series is either playable or is a boss in some level. Cobra Kai has fire powers while Miyagi Do has ice powers. Tone wise, it’s far more light and irreverent than the show; it does not take itself seriously in the slightest. Some might find this off-putting, but subjectively this works quite well.

Loved the Karate Kid movies when I was young, I did not really follow the Cobra Kai series but I’m guessing it’s as cheesy as the movies, if not more. There is no lack of cheesiness in this game, that’s for sure.
Beat ‘em Up games also give me those nostalgic feelings of back in the day when I used to play games like; Golden Axe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV, Fighting Force, Double Dragon and Streets Of Rage to name a few.
Graphically, I can’t say the game is gorgeous but it also didn’t really bother me that much. It actually made me think of another Beat ‘Em up “Double Dragon Neon” , a game which I couldn’t get into.
