Short Free experience that is more of an Ad than a educational tool

Aside from that, its pretty “Ok”.

You start inside a submarine (play sitting down recommended), then its 3 scenes, the mouth, the small, large intestines and a quick scene at the… final part.

During each part a friendly voice tells you a bit of educational talk about what happens in each section,

There are 2 short interactive parts, one where you build ammo for good bacteria by grabbing some items and placing them on their designated spots (one item being kellogs cereal), and then the 2nd part is using that ammo to feed good bacteria using a sort of slingshot mechanic that works fine.

‘Altarays’ is a 5 minute slightly interactive experience that sees you touching some woman’s head, being transported to ancient Egypt and sitting down while dark ghosts surround you and a snake comes to say hello. What? Do you want more than that for £5.99? Tough, because that is all there is. Even if this…”experience” was free I would be struggling to recommend it, but given the £5.99 price tag, it makes things a little easier for me. Avoid this, it’s crap, pointless and vastly overpriced.

The Last Place

The Last Place

The Last Place is a charming asset flip where you start on a smallish map, unarmed, surrounded by copy+paste asset store monsters, and you have to go find a gun and shoot them, I guess. There’s no actual defined plot or goal, it’s best described as a survival shooter, except the enemies are just standing around until you trigger aggro on them.

Believe it or not, I’ve played even worse asset flips than this, but this is still pretty bad. I do like the comedy $45 USD price tag, though. That’s more than the developer probably spent on the asset store. What should I recommend to gamers… almost any AAA game on Steam? Or this crappy asset flip? Decisions, decisions.

Construct VR - The Volumetric Movie

Construct VR - The Volumetric Movie

Construct VR - the first ever fully immersive Volumetric 6DOF movie

Watch the free demo first to learn more about the technology behind Construct VR.

Construct VR is an experience in the PresenZ movie format, that showcases the technological breakthroughs of VR storytelling through volumetric photorealistic video, powered by V-Nova point cloud compression.

Enter a science-fiction dystopian world, where a robot must fight for his life and the lives of his family. This is the first actual action movie in six-degree-of-freedom (6DoF) photorealistic VR, exploring unprecedented and game-changing dimensions for the medium.

FEATURES:

  • PresenZ’s volumetric movie format, powered by V-Nova compression, allows you to experience unprecedented immersion comfort compared to “standard” VR 360° movies

  • Position and orientation of the VR headset is tracked at all times inside the movie, allowing you to get closer to objects and characters as well as to look around or behind them, creating a real sense of scale and immersion

  • 6DoF eliminates the motion sickness commonly associated with VR 360° movies

  • V-Nova’s point cloud compression technology compresses the file to a small enough size to be downloaded and played on standard VR gaming set ups, finally bringing breath-taking immersion experiences to VR Gaming PCs at home

Construct VR, with a runtime of 8 minutes, is an immersive adaption of the short movie created by Kevin Margo. The PresenZ format keeps the original design and visual quality while transforming the short movie into a fully immersive experience.

Truly the Dark Souls of being a frog

Ever wanted to be a little frog?

Sounds nice and relaxing right?

Well you’re wrong!

It’s hardcore survival. It’s kill or be killed.

Frogworld is an intense survival horror in which you must avoid many predators that won’t hesitate to end your life, in turn you must also not hesitate to take the life of your own prey so you’re strong enough to survive. There are no checkpoints in the levels which really ramps up the intensity of encounters.

Genuinely scary, particularly if you are afraid of snakes, fish, birds, turtles, ants or cars.

Tarzan VR™ Issue #1 - THE GREAT APE

Tarzan VR™ Issue #1 - THE GREAT APE

I grew up reading graphic novels and Sunday newspaper comics. Tarzan happened to be one of those syndicated comics and that’s how I discovered the legendary character and a whole cast of supporting characters.

Stonepunk Studios has taken that hand-drawn comic aesthetic and drops VR players into the jungle as Tarzan himself. Well, technically, his hands.

The first issue, “The Great Ape” sets up a big adventure where you have to swing, swim, fight and explore in an effort to save the jungle from “bad men”.

I’m using i7 7700K (4.5 Ghz), GTX 1080 8GB and 16GB 3200 MHz - and both Valve Index and Rift CV1. Although many textures are very low-res, there are also many nice/great textures, but none even remotely close to Alyx. Still the game looks great - and I like being able to just explore.

The world feels alive and breathing. Did go into the water and it suddenly got deep - and in my mind I started hearing music from Jaws, and I was very quick to get out of the water, lol.

Performance and image quality are great with the Index - 4xMSAA, render scale 1.0 and all other settings maxed make the game look close to the best it can. Motion smoothing is my friend, not my enemy, and I’ll probably need a 3080 to use render scale 1.5 - but MSAA seems most important to reduce jaggies.

DANGER! Escape Lab

After reading the description of the game, I thought it would be something higher than I expected. Overall, the graphics are okay, but with problems that occur throughout the game. The same problem, and with the preserves, after 15 minutes of play, went on break, went back into the game and save as there was no. What I was very upset !

2nd degree contamination, 2nd degree contamination, 2nd degree contamination, 2nd degree contamination, 2nd degree contamination, LSD, 2nd degree contamination, 2nd degree contamination, 2nd degree contamination.

Ok so i have now completed this and i have to say the constant droning of the 2nd degree contamination is annoying. The game is functional and nowhere near as janky as other vr escape games (im looking at you onskull) however do you know why escape rooms jump in and give you little hints? Because nobody likes to lose these things and you’re much more likely to recommend it to a friend if you walk away happy than if you walk away frustrated. either a mild hint system or something would go a long way but that said it needs more than 6-10 puzzles to make it interesting. i would say this is more like a just below good experience than the bad one the thumbs down suggests but its asking would i recommend someone spend money on this game and the answer is mostly no.
