NENA

NENA

Looks can be deceiving. Before I even say anything about the gameplay, Nena has the best ending I ever experienced in a video game (it’s that special), make sure to watch the credits all the way, and please don’t spoil it for others. The puzzle mechanics are very good, you can take control of the enemies and objects, and even redirect the projectiles in mid-air which creates some very creative gameplay. I also really enjoyed the narrative, I only wish it had more exploration because the way you can interact with the world is so fun. It’s not very long, only about 60 minutes if you not grinding the achievements. I could go on and talk more about the game, but if you play it all the way, I think you will realize that making the game was probably not the most important thing ;). My heart… Just awwwwwwwwwwwww

One of the cutest games EVER! 3

Best ending EVER, like American Beetle said!!! I simply had to play this through instantly because of their glowing review!

I recommend playing this with the controller, like the game says; because I think one would have some difficulty playing otherwise, since aiming and moving is important.

I found that the game has just the right difficulty! Was super fun to go about the puzzles and enemies! Plus, the dialog is so charming and lovely 3

Evidence of Life

Evidence of Life

I was sent this game sometime late October to check it out and give feedback

Evidence of Life really surprised me, it’s not like I expected the game to be bad, I just didn’t expect to fall into it so hard. If you’re a fan of games like Risk of Rain and Super Motherload then I think you’ll really enjoy this game. I constantly found myself coming back to it when I had some down time to inch my way closer to my world shattering goals. I became addicted to the gems, I needed them, I fiended over them. As you start to see the results of your levels and achievements you really do start to feel powerful. Unfortunately this leads to some deaths caused by overconfidence. My only worry while I was playing the game was what the price point was going to be. I was thinking if it was priced around $10 - $15 then it would absolutely be worth it. After seeing the price at launch I can confidently say that this game is a definite buy, I am genuinly surprised to see it priced so low.

What a great game. The exploration, combat and overall atmosphere is why I love playing indie games.

Lockheart Indigo

Lockheart Indigo

Lockheart Indigo was a short but fulfilling experience, with all of its parts forming a cohesive whole. The art, the music, the characters and the gameplay all fit together seamlessly to tell an exciting story.

It offers a unique system where, instead of battling your enemies in combat, you have to win them over with clever persuasion. And it’s clear the developer took a lot of time in crafting the various responses to show each character’s unique personality and motives.

I definitely recommend this game, it was a joy to play and a great homage to the Game Boy era from which it took its inspiration.

About 2-3 hour long detective game where the combat is replaced with interrogation, it’s kinda like playing Undertale and only using the dialogue choices (no bullet-hell though). Whenever you need to get information from the character you have to find a way to probe them by using evidence and their motivations against them. The story was decent enough for me to finish the game, but I was a bit disappointed with the illusion of choices as the game is pretty linear overall. You can use F4 to set the game to fullscreen, however, it does not have a widescreen so you will be playing with black borders. Even though the game is relatively polished and resistant to stupid choices, there are some potential softlocks due to the enemy AI, you should keep 2-3 save slots 30 minutes apart just in case (I wasted like 40 minutes because one of the quest items became inaccessible).

Mina & Michi is a top down 2D advanture game, where a girls and his pet monster going together to take out the gelatin monsters.

I got this game from the developers, thank you guys!

Graphics is indeed cute and looking good. I really like this retro, pixelate graphics but at the same time looks really like a new game. Characters looks good and the effects are really nice.

Controlls is also pretty easy, however I was a madman and I tried to play this game alone, which was a bad idea… but it’s workable. You can play the game on keyboard or controller too, pretty easy to play it!

Cursed Town

Cursed Town

I am literally disappointed in the game delivery. Apart from its slow gameplay I don’t really feel the horror element and slow movement to continue further. However, as this game is still in early access. I hope the devs in developing this implement a running function to make the game faster and fix the cutting out background music. This won’t loop back btw and ruins the immersion making the whole game quiet. There are also some typo error i discovered in the first 10 minutes in house with first survivor NPC there that wish to bring something valuable to him. This error is in corner which the main character misspelled “cofee” instead of “coffee”. I also would like to bring up the save feature as in the game where you have to open up the inventory and save directly. I hope you change this by making you save to “safe spots” in the game making it more horror inducing. Look at Mad father and MISAO from some inspiration in making it better
