David.

David.

David. is a game that includes a period as part of its title. We’re going to pretend David. knows better and it’s actually called David. Argh! That period there was to end the sentence not describe the title. Moving on. Let’s discuss David.

Here’s a bit of advice: if you’re going to write a review that hinges on you spending two and a half hours to climb to the top of a leaderboard, best make sure the game will update your score and said leaderboard when you quit out manually rather than waiting for a game over. Now, this statement should tell you three things. One: this game is engrossing enough to keep playing for two and a half hours. Two: while David is good fun, it is lacking some technical touches that can be frustrating. And three: yes, I am petty enough to gloat about temporarily being the best David! My name’s not even David!

David. is an action platformer that pits the titular square-shaped character against many incredible bosses strewn across a number of singular worded doors. Within each door lies in wait a boss that utilizes a certain aspect or value of vice, sin, or fear in which the creature’s body or its domain are designed around the particular aspect or value. David was to bring each monster to justice, ending their reign of terror. With the avoidance of using the words “retro” and/or “minimalistic”, since they have almost become default word choices towards games along the same line as David. treads, I’d like to say that David. is a fascinating, original concept and deserves to be set aside as such.

Jump Movement

Jump Movement

A hardcore 2D platformer with a minimalistic design and pleasing graphics.

You can only move left and right while jumping until you hit the ground. In each location you have 6 rooms with many obstacles on your way to the finish line.

In total there are 5 locations and 5 levels of difficulty - 25 combinations in total - try to pass each of them in the minimum time.

Can you do it? Doesn’t sound too hard? Then good luck, and try not to smash your keyboard :)

If you like time travel as a concept, and are frustrated with all the “time travel” games that are nothing but cooperating with your past self, then this game is for you. The logic is simple, consistent, and interesting, and the levels are perfectly crafted to showcase all the interesting consequences of the time travel model. I wasn’t a fan of the graphics or overall presentation, but it doesn’t get in the way.

This is a very fun puzzling game that really makes you think! I get a lot of portal vibes from this but it definitely does a lot of unique things with its' concept. The idea is basically space=time=health, which seems simple at first, go into the blue part of the environment to move the environment into that part of time, run away from the shadow beings that take your time away, etc. etc., but this game really does capitalize on these mechanics and does a lot of clever interplay with them. I would be stuck on a puzzle for a while until I thought “what if I did this” and would be amazed every time how much the same mechanics make for different and interesting puzzles each level. On this front, the puzzling is an A +

As stated by other reviewers, the graphics are simplistic but there’s a lot of effects to make it look really vibrant and trippy. It could easily bother people, but I liked it.

Puzzles are also very creative, the story takes a turn at the halfway point which ultimately leads to multiple endings.

I really enjoyed small details such as the monsters moving their jaws perfectly to the sounds they’re making, wasn’t expecting that for a game like this.

Some cons:

The menu is very, very basic. Not only does it not look good, but it doesn’t even have essential controls such as mouse sensitivity or FOV slider. I managed to get used to it after a while but my enjoyment would’ve been much better if those options were available.

Tree Simulator 2022

Firstly, I would like to preface this review with this:

To all the other reviewers out there giving this game a positive rating, trying to make funny jokes about how good the gameplay is, they’re just trying to farm points. If you look at their playtime, most of them have less than an hour! You cannot truly experience the greatness of this game in a few minutes, an hour, or even 10. I have only just scratched the surface with my 100 hours, so I will be making constant updates as I play this game

This game saved my life.

I am 25.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiraling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand… my working hand… my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The hand I desperately needed to make sure I could continue to provide.

Waves

Waves

It is a bit difficult to find truly great twin stick arcade shooters on PC. There are quite a few of them around, but my search has been to find something as close to the PSN great Super Stardust HD as possible. A truly amazing twin stick shooter that many of us even got for free after the infamous ApocalyPS3 where PSN got hacked a few years back. Our reward was free games for not being able to login for a month! I ended up with Super Stardust HD, Little Big Planet, and inFamous as mine so I did well, but Super Stardust HD was the big surprise of the lot and I have been searching for a similar twin stick shooter ever since.

Who doesn’t love Arcade-Games?

Waves is a typical example for one of these. You have to eliminate the opposing balls as a ball. Sounds boring but this is not the case at all.

The Fun-part starts simply by the fact that there are several gamemodes. I personally just play three of them because they are the best in my opinion.

Split

Split

Split is a first-person puzzle game with unique mechanics of creating copies of yourself and manipulating time. The gameplay combines many different types of puzzles from more and less famous puzzle games and takes them to a whole new perspective.

After the recent war, engineers from Epsilon Energy created the Split indestructible shield system. It was to protect individual giant cities covering almost the entire planet from armed conflicts. Different cities have different policies towards their citizens. In West Ulrage, every citizen gets a guardian robot at birth. In Hal’Tor, pairs of robots raise several children each. Whereas in Dievez, people are raised in large centers. Most jobs have been taken over by machines. People work mainly as mechanics, programmers or operators.

The Split control panel is riddled with numerous traps that will require both good reflexes and composure. You can try to destroy enemies or escape from them by using time manipulation and your own clones to distract them.

The game’s design refers to Brutalism, an architectural style popular around the 1970s. It was promoted, among others, by the game “Control”. We mixed this style with the digital environment from “Tron: Legacy”. The levels are full of nooks and crannies, which may seem empty at first glance, but lead to interesting places.

We were inspired by games such as:

Q.U.B.E.2”, “The Talos Principle”, “The Turing Test”, “Portal”, “The Witness” and “Antichamber”

Super Shield Dash

Super Shield Dash

Super Shield Dash, like every game leads by the word “Super”, is an arcade game with a simple goal: beat that highscore while smashing endless hordes of enemies.

What sets it apart is the slow-motion effect, where time moves as you move. No powerups, no fancy weapons. Just you simply dashing around, throwing shield to destroy enemies. So plant your feet, grit your teeth and eat those horses.

Instead of the ol' goody guns or sword, you find yourself equipped with shields, lots of shields which you can throw at the very face of every enemy. The shield will travel as far as it can then return to its owner while still maintaining its full power, combining with the slow-mo effect for a massive arcade feeling.
