Beast Nature
You have to fight your fears and solve a mystery of this area. We dont know what lives here aliens, ghosts, bigfoot or just some wild coyotes, when night comes something weird used to happen. Better find something more powerfull then your old shotgun cuz it is only the first location and first… Beast…
Anyway do not worry to much - there should be some stuff laying around, it had owner before but now I don’t think skeletons would mind you taking it.
And the most important, do not go out at night without a rifle or call a freind to carry one for you

Descent
I played this game like crazy when I was young. It’s really hard until you get the hang of it, and then you become basically unstoppable. The most scary part of the game for me was level 7, the first time I encountered the first boss. I went out into this big lava room and the boss made such a horrible scary sound when he appeared, and it killed me. Then I would hide inside the tunnel leading to the bosses' room, and it would appear nearby. My heart would nearly stop when I would hear the sound effect he would make, because then I knew he was nearby. The boss would fire missles into my tunnel I was hiding in, and the little green balls would lock onto my ship and destroy me. After trying countless times to beat him by shooting at him from inside my not-so-safe tunnel, I made a bold and daring move. I left the tunnel. And amazingly, even though I played only with the keyboard, my little fingers would move so fast I could slide up, down, right, left and spin in all kinds of crazy circles, the little green balls would try to lock onto my ship but I was able to dodge them all. The funnest part of this game for me was its built-in replay recording feature, which will record a replay of your game. Once I got good at beating the boss, I increased the difficulty level to “insane”, and recorded countless epic replays of me beating the boss on insane. He would shoot missles as fast as a machine gun on insane difficulty, and every one of those missles would explode into a cloud of green balls. Hundreds of green balls would be in the air at once. Shoulda been impossible for me to dodge them all. Even just one or two of them hitting me would destroy my ship at that level of difficulty. But I would dodge them all. I would do loop to loops around the boss, zig-zagging through all the green balls, all the while shootting at him and throwing his own green balls right back at him, destroying him with his own green balls! It was so much fun. Some of those replays were so insane, I wish I still had the recordings, but that was a long time ago. This is one of the few games where you will often be turning both up/down plus turning right/left plus sliding up/down plus sliding right/left plus moving forward/backward plus shooting –- all at the same time!

Descent is the kind of games which are hard to write a review about. No, not because it is kinda tricky and complicated or controversial. No, it’s quite opposite actually. The problem is else… Modern player will hardly pay attention to it and fans will buy without need of any reviews. So there is no audience for the review and a question, whether I should write it at all, rises. And that’s a pity because the game is quite unique and it still doesn’t have proper rivals (apart from its other titles). So, I am going to try to describe it shortly in hope that at least one rookie will pay their attention to it.

Geocore
I just met a very dedicated and pretty cool game developer, psionik, and took a ride with him and 2 other Descent Rangers through his game Geocore, which is available on steam. The game is in alpha and about to go beta so for the small $10 fee I got it. After a quick but in-depth set-up I hopped into the Fury, complete with an arsenal of weapons that could rip a tank a new one and we toured the map. This overcharged pyro-style wonder has got the feel down. I mean it could fly like D1 with the right tri-chording feel, it has the after burners, weapons and feel of D2 & D3 too. To say the least, I was impressed. The other rangers were also impressed and I just wanted to give him a thumbs up and a recommendation and provide a video link of the match we just had. http://www.twitch.tv/tsunami_k/v/33285714 If you have questions you can find him in the mumble chatroom mumble.descentrangers.com on port 31393.

I really want to advocate for this title, but unfortunately, it seems that the developer has moved on to other endeavors (no updates since 2018.)
As of right now, it generates random levels in single-player which you just sort of… go through until you die? I haven’t found an end to one yet, and likely won’t.
The weapons you’re given seem fine, but the aiming feels sluggish even after increasing the mouse sensitivity.

Desecrators
OK, first off I was a big Descent fan and more recently a fan of Overload but it didn’t have coop. For me, I thought that was a mistake.
Then along comes Desecrators. It seems to be a cross between Forsaken mostly, and partially Descent. The graphics look cool but are somewhat retro looking. The tanks remind me of Forsaken and the rest, Descent. And best of all, it has coop!!!
The most critical aspect of a 6DoF game is the ship control. The ship control is spot on with the default settings. It feels perfect and very neutral. You can also toggle auto ship leveling. The game allows you to rebind keys and has full controller support.

Another great indie 6DOF game ! 🙂
Desecrators is really promising and already pretty damn good despite being early in development, there’s lot of potential here to create a one of it’s kind 6DOF game.
Good controls, it’s fast and responsive, really nice feeling piloting the ship with just the right amount of inertia.
The weapons are satisfying and there’s many different to use.
Desecrators also have great retro graphics style which remind me of Forsaken.
The levels are procedurally generated so we get a new experience each playthrough and that’s pretty nice !

Disputed Space
First of all, let me explain how ‘your money’s worth’ actually works, as it dawned on me not too long ago.
Let’s say you work at a job where you make 10$/hr. This game is 2 dollars. Therefore, if you play this game for 12 minutes, you will have recieved your ‘money’s worth’. That’s one of the reasons I recommend this game.
The second reason is that space combat sims like this are like finding a needle in a haystack, and they’re all either tough to run due to their age (Freespace, X-wing games) or invariably complex to the point that the combat itself is overshadowed (X Series, Elite, etc). This is a game where I can sit down, and be part of a pretty big space battle where capital ships and squadrons of fighters are duking it out. It’s good for the imagination. Graphics are decent, there’s no real story to speak of, upgrades are a little weird but not that bad, It’s an ok space combat game.

This game is a blast! It’s like a 3D shmup without a pattern and is something I would have pumped tons of quarters into if it existed before now.
It’s pure mayhem and there’s zero fluff. You drop in and start shooting until everything is destroyed, or until they destroy you, then it’s on to the next level. They get more difficult as they go - there are more ships and a greater variety of them further on, and the bigger ones pack more of a punch and are harder to kill. If there’s not many enemy ships left in the wave, just follow the tracers from the capital ships and you’ll be right back into it!

The roles in Pulsar explained:
Pilot: shout at the engineer to give you more power, get shouted by the weapons officer for a firing solution, practice your “ooops” every time you crash into stuff, die suddently because the entire ship is on fire and you were focusing on the external camera
Scientist: you never have enough power for anything because everyone thinks you’re useless, except when the ship is swarmed by viruses and/or they need urgent healing. It’s like IT, you are only ever acknowledged when something goes wrong

The Chewllers
The Chewllers is a multiplayer, VR game, where 4 players protect the tower from monsters in Co-op mode. Evil creatures in this world are destroying everything they can chew. The main goal of the four players is to withstand the attacks of the “Chewllers”. You can fight against monsters in different ways, create your own crafted tools, or use existing explosive devices.
CHEWLLERS
You will see the different types of monsters in the game. Chewllers are distinguished from each other by their funny behaviors and abilities. Each requires an individual approach. The harder it is to deal with monsters, the greater the chance of them dropping resources, items, and chests.
CRAFTING WEAPONS
In the game, You will have primary and secondary weapons. The main weapon that the player constantly has is upgrading up to 5 levels. As for secondary weapons, there are 6 types of weapons that are functionally different from each other and have different roles. (Sniper, Shotgun, Crossbow, Grenade launcher, Machine gun, Potatoe Catapult). All secondary weapons are upgraded up to 3 levels.
THROWABLE ITEMS
There are 7 types of items available from which the player can make a bunch of weird and practical combinations of throwables. Creativity is the limit. Each of them has its own significance and uniqueness in various cases. Explosives, luring enemies, or chasing them are just a few of them.
BricksVR
At the time of this rating, I have around 6 hours of playtime, overall very good game, the developer is amazing and always keeps up with updates and the community is very nice! Hope to see where this game goes in the future!

its great.
if you download this game to its current state in developement, you may think its a bit boring over time, but still if you are creative, its a game with unlimited ways to play it.
this game is in early access, i was beta tester and even though there is a quite limiting amount of bricks to this point, this game has an extreme potential, and also Nat, the developer, always tries to implement community ideas and really cares what the communiy thinks, wich for me is an extreme positive effect.

Aquanox Deep Descent
Aquanox Deep Descent is the attempt to revive an older franchise. It began with a game named Archimedean Dynasty, released in 1996. 2 Sequels followed, under the new brand name of Aquanox.
All of those games were quite similar to the “three degrees of freedom” space simulation games that came up roughtly at the same time, but tried to put themselves apart by not going up, but rather down. All three might be considered aaa titles considering the amount of work and effort, as well as content they provided at the time. Even though their success probably fell short of that.

Overview
Aquanox Deep Descent (ADD) is a semi-open world shooter set underwater, after the world endured the “Last Day” - an apocalyptic event where most of humanity perished and the rest was forced into oceanic depths. Players impersonate Kaelen, one of the chosen few to be preserved in stasis for centuries, now woken up by unclear circumstances. After a dangerous escape, he and his companions - left without most memories - decide to embark on a quest to find the answers about their past, forging alliances and facing many dangers along the way.
