Kitchen Island VR
The core gameplay is fun, and I was having a blast right away. I am happy to change this review as dev’s have now been engaging with the community on bugs/issues. I am hoping they can solve some of the startup issues as I look forward to playing this game with friends more.

MoveUp
Played this on my Oculus headset. Quite a fun little game and relaxing as well. You stack blocks and the goal is just to time your button presses to keep stacking as high as possible. Eventually you get so high you can even leave the planet. It’s fun to see how far away you can go. Decent little game if you are looking to kill some time on your VR headset.

‘MoveUp’ is a box stacking style game in which you have to build the tallest tower you can. You start with a big cube, then it will swing back and forth until you hit your red button to stop it. Whatever of the cube isn’t on the one below falls off and the more that falls off the harder it is to grow your tower. While it is as basic as games come it has something a lot of VR games miss and that is a fun factor. It’s easy to play, has easy, medium or hard play settings and it has a high score for you to challenge friends and family with. Sure I wish there was a score tally while you are playing the game and maybe some unlockables thrown in, but for just £2.09 (just £1.25 in the sale) it is well worth a go.

Waddle Home
(played on the oculus rift s in a relatively small l-shaped play area)
waddle home is a short easy puzzle game about leading penguins through a tile-based island, collecting eggs and avoiding enemies to reach a final goal. there’s 40 levels, having taken me about 2 hours to beat all of them with 100% collectables and now working back through in order to get the 1000 minimum score on each level achievement.
it’s not a new concept - not by any stretch of the imagination. back to bed is pretty much the same game - replacing penguins with a dreaming person and the dogs with robots - relying on the gimmick whereby your player(s) walk straight and turn left, and enemies walk straight and turn right. the primary differences are that a) this game is in vr and b) back to bed has a deeper set of mechanics and a more challenging levelset. if you’re going into this game expecting a brand new exciting (and difficult) puzzle experience, this isn’t worth your £4. buy back to bed instead, it delivers a far better experience on that front.

Your goal is to release cute penguins onto a level, who passively move through it: they only walk forward (you don’t control them), and only turn right when they bonk on something. You look down on the entire level as though you were a kid standing over a playset (think one of those Thomas the Train tables). Because of this, the game feels smaller and involves no movement around your room. If you can only play standing up, this is the perfect VR game for you. Anyway, the penguins need to pick up eggs and then exit. To guide them, you can raise or lower blocks, thereby altering the penguins' paths. There are enemies along the way who can remove your penguins. That’s it! Highly polished game, clean design, good fun. For an entry-level VR user who is looking to do something besides the tech demos and partial experences that lack progression, this fits the bill nicely. It not a visual feast, but it’s charm factor is AAA.

Evasive Maneuvers
Evasive Maneuvers is a team-based online multiplayer spaceship arena. Between 2-8 players will be split into 2 teams; runners and hunters. Runners are attempting to pickup enough energy to power up the warp gate to allow their escape. The hunters are attempting to prevent runners from escaping by using their ramming ships.
Hunters have abilities that allow them to detect and hinder runners. Runners can avoid detection by deploying defensive abilities and hiding.
Use your surroundings to hide from the enemy. Use your boost if you dare! You may be faster, but are very easily detected. Be wary of when you use it. Work together, stay hidden, and good luck!

Cook-Out
Awesome game, its Overcooked VR.
I’m about a third of the way through the game, and it has gotten really complicated. I’m now chopping, saucing, grilling, cleaning, and plating all at the same time with my friends, and its delightful yet difficult.
Technical:
The multiplayer lobby system is REALLY easy, its just a room code. The Netcode is also really great, the polish is high, I’ve honestly had zero technical issues with the game.
This is a multiplayer-forward game, if you want a more single-player oriented experience, I would direct you to Rags To Dishes.

This is probably the one of the best VR Cooperative games to play with friends when you want something chaotic ala Overcooked. Missions become harder and harder as one progresses, and even with 3 friends requires quite bit of coordination to get past some of the challenges with full 3 stars.
There is also a puzzle mode which is fun to do while waiting for everyone to be ready trying to figure out various recipes. Some feel a bit obtuse tho and dont provide enough hints on solving them.
There are occasionally some bugs as well, but these are relatively minor: Had desync issues (between people playing across europe and us) but this gets solved by reconnecting on the next round and are relatively rare. The mission difficulty also is a bit all over the place with the later where very hard missions (to get full stars on) get followed up with something that is a breeze to 3 stars, but not sure if thats intentional or not.

Axe Throw VR
this game could very easily be a game that someone just grabbed a bunch of assets from the unity store cobbled together and threw on steam but what it actually is, is a beautifully crafted gem with simple mechanics that is easy to do yet fun to master.
that silly mistake that cost you the level will just make you want to come back for more and more. the throwing feels solid and fun and taking the time to master you technique is key.
i fully recommend this game to anyone who wants to try something different or wants a pass and play party game with friends to introduce them to VR

Outstanding! Great VR game for families and my “twentysomething” kids enjoyed it. We had a blast playing through the campaign and story. Strong game and loved the challenge levels for added entertainment. Loved the graphics and various lush environments.

StarDrone VR
Was watching this game for a while, stalking it so to speak and finally it is here, and it is not what I expected. But since I did not know what to expect I had to fall back to wondering if it was good, no need to wonder anymore. The game so far seems very good and quite groovy. Finally a good looking VR game that I can relax and enjoy.
Will post more as game goes on, but I would recommend this for sure, it is very unique.

Experienced on Windows Mixed Reality
You can view my gameplay & initial impressions review here: https://youtu.be/qV7ks_inAs0
So my first impression of the game was not very good. I wasn’t having fun and the game just didn’t look good in VR. The 3D graphics just didn’t pop. Plus, on top of that the motion controllers are used like laser pointers where you press trigger as a one button controller. Finally, there wasn’t a tutorial or explanation for anything that you were doing.
I switched to an Xbox One controller. It was a combination of gaze-based navigation and one button controls. It felt very odd at first, but seemed more seamless than the motion controllers. I started going further into the levels and I was starting to have some fun. The further I went, the trickier the levels got. New elements are introduced which change up what you’ve been doing and the goal isn’t always the same in every level.

I think it best to start with the good news. The good news is this is a pleasant puzzle platform game in which you have to use the power of the wind to push two characters to their end goal. Of course, things are not that simple at all and you will have to use strategy, timing and cooperative work between the two little ball characters. I love the colouring book style to the graphics and while they lack animation the characters are enjoyable to look at. You can indeed find yourself getting into this game, but that is sadly where the bad news starts…
