Black & White Bushido
This is a game about speed, stealth, and lighting. The lighting seems to change at random times.
You play on either the light team or the dark team. If you stand still while in your element (a light team member in the light, a dark team member in the shadow) you disappear from sight, and can hold a button to stay hidden and move slowly. But if you dash (your typical movement speed), your outline becomes a bit easier to see. I’ve found it’s easier to distinguish a moving dark team member in shadow than it was to detect a moving light team member in light, which unbalances it a bit, but it’s not too bad, and I’m sure its something the devs can easily fix.

Short version:
Worth buying at 75% off, if you have friends to play it with. Not worth full price. Don’t expect to find people to play with online.
Long:
Black & White Bushido is a game heavily based on stealth. You can play either Light (white ninjas) or Shadow (black ninja). There are four character models, though (ironically for a game so heavily based on the popular idea of ninjas), none of them are in stereotypical ninja garb. You then choose to play online or offline.
Offline, you can play either against bots or (presumably, since I’ve never tried it) couch two player. The stage is small, so there’s no need for split screen. Online, you can try to find a match, but the matchmaking is extremely barebones. I play with my fiancee, and the only way we can find each other’s matches is by coordinating over the phone. There is no indication of who else is playing, even once you’re in the match. You don’t see screen names, just “Player 1.” Also, as many other reviews have noted, there is virtually no community for this game. If you want to play against a human, bring a friend.

Griefhelm
“Await eagerly your end at my hand”
Overview
🔹Griefhelm takes its cue from some renowned niches in gaming like Nidhogg, Mordhau, For Honor, and the Souls-likes. It emphasizes on a methodical action as there’s a fine line between death and glory in this game. You are in the boots of a medieval knight who fights his way through a branching campaign You traverse from node to node through a set of stages, each challenging you with a leader battle at the end before progressing to the next location. Despite its flaws, The game is an amazing effort for a project made by a single person.

Griefhelm is a fun little action game in a pseudo-medieval setting, which I discovered recently and fell in love with. It offers lots of cosutmization and weapons, a singleplayer campaign, singleplayer and multiplayer costum fights called “encounters” which you can design the way you want by chosing your equipment, the enemy’s equipment, different rule sets, the stage/level/map and the exact gamemode: skirmish=duel, battle=capture waypoints, tug-of-war=push the enemy back by killing him and running towards the end of the stage/level and more! SWORDY
Update on mouse and keyboard
Mouse and keyboard now work, it feels like a great use of the mouse… though controllers will always feel better, there is just one more reliable player to play the game at your parties… single player experience is “there” but not satisfying/fun enough to purchase the game for a SP experience. Multiplayer is still great.
Review made a few days after EA release
Swordy is not for every PC, make no mistake, Swordy is a niche game requiring Multiple controllers (with the recent and solid addition of Keyboard and mouse) , Friends, and a willingness to wait until those meetups to play the game… (and it only really starts getting fun with a third (or more) person(s) too)…

SWORDY is an interesting, physics-based melee combat arcade game, and I love it.
The game uses a twin stick method of combat (and triggers for different stances and stabbing) where you spin to attack your opponents. This game currently has AIs and a coop AND versus system for other players.
Now so far, the updates that are being released alone are showing me that this game was definitely worth the amount I spent when it was ON SALE. But currently, I personally think it fits its 15$ price tag. So, if you’ve got some extra cash lying around, and wanna play a local game with your mates, go ahead and get this game.

KnightOut
Best early access game to invite others over to play after COVID 19 pandemic!
I haven’t been able to find a game online; however, Discord server is active and devs can help find players to play via steam. You can also PM if you’d like to play.
If you have kids and know what you are doing, you can go 2 v 1… 3 v 1 is a bit tricky. Devs are active on their discord and have stated to change respawn times later.
Bugs at the moment are not that bad, but yes, it’s early access.
In any case, it’s great for a KnightOut with friends or your kids locally. Just wear masks, wash your hands and game controllers.

The game has friendly fire in co-op. Which makes the experience a joke. The coins disappear extremely fast and seem to determine how many stars you get. There’s also gated progression which requires a set number of stars per map to progress. Not a very casuals experience for some local co-op.
There’s also the problem when the game zooms out the entire screen is one big BLUR.

STAB STAB STAB!
Really fun gameplay, Simple and easy to learn controls, and great graphics. If I could add one thing, I would want a team mode where the fleshbirds are separated into teams and made to fight the other team(s).

Discussing tumor ridden flesh birds with long stabby beaks may be the stuff of nightmares, but they make for some awesomely fun couch party games, lots of gross powerups and game modes and AARRK!

Assassins vs Pirates
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a78WaYxZRh8
Assassins vs Pirates is a fun couch co-op arena game. Online lobbies are pretty much empty so I can’t stress enough, if you have friends to play this game, whether local or online, its a MUST HAVE. If you dont have people to play with, I suggest you wait till the price drops a bit, because it is an extremely easy to grasp fun game but the lack of bots makes it heavily reliant on other people.

Really cool and fun game - not really too much in the way of story, but really fun after a whole day of work. It can get pretty dynamic at times :) This game was the reason I bought a controller. Honestly I would recomend it for anyone who doesn’t have the time to immerse themselves into a story-driven game.
In conclusion:
Awesome game for a quick stress relief :)

Sword Mans
My hope was that this game could fill the hole in my heart left by Gang Beasts and it’s successively worsening updates, and I was not dissapointed. Sword Mans is a silly and lightearted fighting game in which you play a sword whose wielder drags like a ragdoll behind you. This leads to an unusual combat in which you are trying to swipe at your opponents whilst protecting the wielder that limply follows you. My girlfiiend and I laughed uproariously on more than a few occassions.
Four player multiplayer is where this game really shines. The controller support is also nice. A surprisingly diverse weapon selection also introduces an interesting element of strategy. The large selection of stages helps to keep multiplayer fresh as well. I liked the inclusion of both cooperative and competetive game modes, as well as the ability to include bots in versus mode to keep things hectic, The physics are hilarious and the stages are fun to smash apart and varied. You can tell that an indie dev put a lot of love into this game, and the developer has promised periodic content updates which is exciting. All things considered I enjoyed this purchase, and feel as if I got exactly what I wanted. An easy to pick up local multiplayer game that’s funny and great with friends.

Akuto: Showdown
Ok this game is very hyper, it takes u a few rounds before you match with the AI speed in 1 level but its pretty addictive.
you can slice or trow with your sword, u can use a gun and bombs, but speed is the toughest weapon here

A good game so far.
Positives:
-
Fast paced, if you have 5 minutes spare you could play a game of this.
-
Fun, this game’s really enjoyable.
-
Skill-based, this game requires a fair bit of skill for how simple it is.
-
It has a nice, minimalistic style.
-
Good level design, allows for strategies.
Negatives:
-
When loading a map, the sound can be very load.
-
No online multiplayer, although hut90 have mentioned this as a possibility.
-
The bots are too good at firing bullets, they hit shots that the vast majority of players would miss.
