Fight of Animals: Arena
I absolutely LOVE This game. It’s fun as hell and I almost want it to be more competitive honestly. I want to see this game go FAR !! I want to see Tournaments, tons of content creators playing and promoting this, and even casual players play this and then learn the game well enough to get even better!
A Game like this can really gain LOTS of attention and could be taken more seriously with just a few improvements.
Improvement Suggestions:
- Allow us to Dash cancel Specials in the air ! This will allow even better combos and can really reward competitive players

The game is really fun. I love the concept and execution. Maybe it won’t take long to get boring, but with friends, perhaps at a party this will give yall good time. Controller is a must, no way you play that on a keyboard. Even the menu doesn’t work as it should without a pad.

Pooplers
We pooped all over the house and our parents tried to make us go to bed, but then zombies came and tried to steal our candy. Quite a well made couch game, lots of laughs to be had!

Playing with 3yo and gf. Highly recommend this to teach young ones joystick basics. Not an adult party game.

Kraken Smash: Volleyball
I love this game! It’s got the right amount of competitiveness to keep it fun and ongoing. If you like Lethal League, you’ll love playing this game with friends.
I’d love to see some sort of mini game for solo to act as a sort of tutorial but also something that allows a single player to enjoy the game more when playing by themselves. The bot is a little hard but I feel like it being hard really teaches you how to play and get better.
The only thing that truly bothers me is the specific, animated orange background that’s extremely distracting towards the bottom. It’s still playable, but it’s too similar to the ball color when it reaches the second hit. Other than that, I haven’t run into any other issues yet!

Battlesloths 2025: The Great Pizza Wars
Battlesloths 2025: The Great Pizza Wars is by far my favorite game. It use pixalated graphics for almost everything you see in the game. The game itself only has 4 battle modes at the moment of release. Slice Hunt, Golden Slice, Sloth Hunt, and Last sloth Standing. Along with the game modes comes 18 total weapons ranging from a simple bow and arrow, to a BFSG (Big F*cking Sloth gun). It has a wide variety of levels with their own unique hazards meant to either stop all players or to simply stop them in their tracks. Most noteably is the use of The Nuke. The Nuke can be added to all game modes to add an extra layer of difficulty or just to use in online modes and watch as players scramble to save their points from being cut in half. Currently there are only 8 worlds each holding a total of 3 areas each. However only 7 worlds are available to play in online mode as the world “Temple” is unavailable. Temple has a very unique hazard meant to help players as opposed to killing them. With the small variety of game settings to tinker with before a match starts is a bit underwhelming. You can have timed matches, Matches with a certain kind of weapon, and you can slow down the speed of the sloths. If there were more options available to the player perhaps there would be more enjoyment out fo a few matches. Especially in offline mode (Or playing with bots in this case). The game currently includes over 1017 hats to collect. These hats serve only to add personality to your sloth. The only known way to unlock hats is to play several matches either online with friends or offline with bots. Online matches give much more chances of giving players coins to unlock hats while offline mode with bots is a bit more limited with its coins. Next to blowing out other sloths brains over a piece of pizza there is also a hidden game mode only accessed by a very rare “Hat Demon” Killing this demon will send you to a hidden level with its own unique game mode. Winning this game mode gives you a Golden version of a pre-existing hat. (Some hats look cool golden, i swear.) However i do have my own complaints about the game. The coins are an obvious one because i love collecting and unlocking the hats to add to my collection, if offline mode were given the same treatment as online mode in terms of coins it’d make playing with bots a lot more enjoyable. Instead i’m forced to play to the maximum level available (50 is the limit with the exception of Golden slice which 20 is the limit.) in hopes i get at least 2 or 3 coins at most. The game also has very long and unneeded loading times, it usually takes a minute or two to get to the main screen when booting it up. With online mode however its quite empty. The only online games you’ll play is with friends but even then there are some lag issues. Sadly “Quick Match” doesnt seem to even remotely work at all and your stuck in a neverending loop of waiting for players to join, your best to just create a private match instead as thats more reliable. But overall the game works perfectly fine, it has its issues where it will crash unexpectedly or online mode is lagged to hell but collecting hats, killing sloths, and eating pizza is by far my favorite way to spend my time. I highly reccommend you give this game a shot if you have the time to do so.

This is first and foremost a fun party game. You’ll get a lot more enjoyment playing with local friends pvp or co-op, than playing by yourself vs AI. I experimented with the settings and preferences until I found my happy spot (no hazards, more slices), which brings lots of tension and laughs as you race to finish the pizza.
It’s nice to have a game I can play with the kids that doesn’t involve split screen, and crude humor aside, my kids love the simplicity of the game’s goal and mechanics. They get a kick out of all the hats. Overall, we have a blast whenever we play. One review criticizes the game’s limited rewards and weapons, but this is what it is: a simple, fun game for a group of friends or family to play on a game night. The price seems reasonable for a family game night; you’ll spend triple that at the movies.

Headsnatchers
Free on HumbleBundle.
Game is like a diamond covered in pig shit. It’s got a fun concept but the execution is terrible. Janky controls. Shoddy online. Some of the games are in other players’ favor (isometric camera makes it difficult to see for bottom left and bottom right players, as we found out in the basketball game), the games have no countdown before they start so if your connection isn’t great you can be fucked, the ways to complete some of the games leave you open for attack (throw head into audience one my enemy had my head and was showing to the fans, but I came from behind and attacked them knocking their head into the audience which resulted in me winning???). There is probably more to complain about but I only played it for about half an hour.

Headsnatchers is a party game, akin to Mario Party but without the board game portion. The big issue with Headsnatchers is that it is close to being good, but never achieves it. The core gameplay mechanic of knocking down your opponent and stealing their head is fun and unique, but the game is executed in such a mediocre way that it never realizes its full potential. The controls are weird and take time to get used to. For the games, there is 25 games total and they are all pretty short. It becomes pretty repetitive in a short amount of time, especially when every game is some variation of “take their head and press the action button”. There was a great opportunity to come up with some unique mini-games based on the head snatching mechanics, but they all feel too similar. Overall, the game is too middle of the road in a genre with plenty of great games.

Tetsumo Party
Enjoyable & approachable for young children with depth & challenge enough for adults to enjoy!
I read Monster Couch’s ratings blog saying they wanted a 3+ rating and I thought, “I have a 3 and a 3+, let’s see what they can do!”
We had a lot of fun and it was simple enough that the kids could catch on quickly.
Sound quality was excellent and sound effects entertaining.
I liked that it could be cooperative or competitive so the kids could work together.
We barely scratched the surface, but I could see that there was a lot more to the game than we experienced -power-ups, achievement challenges and unlockable characters.

Nippon Marathon
I´ll put it simple:
This might very well be the SURPRISE of 2018 and in my book is already a part of the Hall of Games of Couch Games alongside Towerfall and Duck Game.
Picture Micro Machines mechanics, except the mini cars are replaced by normal sized people that are not QUITE normal, like an old transvestite o an anthropomorphic dog (that somehow has become the new face of Indie Games in this book of mine I’m telling you about) ALL while competing to reach the Top in a obstacle course race in contemporary Japan.

Nippon Marathon is funny, wacky, strange, surreal, goofy, and everything you expected it to be if you have seen those funny, wacky, strange, surreal, and goofy Japanese TV shows that have a surprising number of international followers all over the globe. The game is currently in Early Access but will be coming out to full release in approximately 1 month, when the more fleshed out version of the game will be available to the public on multiple platforms.

Drink ‘Em
Please Note: My hours are at the time of this review are not accurate since I played the beta for around 30 hours before receiving the full game Steam Key from the Devs.
Drink Inc has been a staple of our pre-games and late night drinking for a while and the game is simply just awesome. Think of it as a more grown-up Mario Party drinking game. The amount of funny memories and good times playing this cannot be counted. My roommates beg me at least once a weekend to bring my PC into the living room to play. This game has many features designed to get you and your friends having fun and drinking. From customizing your characters like Juuls, packs of cigs, dip and a lighter. Then naming your characters ridiculous things (Demi Lovato, heroin, Barack Obama) The mini games are funny af and give lots of chances to screw over friends specially the lightweights and your friends that are usually hesitate to drink. (sorry Tim and John). With mechanics like Drink Pick Ups where you able to force your friends to drink extra after the game, adds a lot of depth and fun, also brining in strategy. As going for the drink pick up could make you lose the mini-game but it’s worth it when you get to give your dickhead roommate 4 extra sips and get him tipsy.

Like drinking? Like mini games? You got a party? This game will be a good fit for the library. Can solo challenges or bring some friends too help get the sweet skins and sounds for your characters. Then take them on with some party games. Free for all or team matches. Also “would you rather”, classic. It’s been awhile since any updates and do hope some day they keep the party going with more quests/challenges, some bug fixes, and more characters/skins. Had this game from the start and deserves a review. Nonetheless, everyone getting wasted in this game and will have a good time playing it. If you got enough controllers lol.

Amazing Frog?
Awesome game!
At first I was like, ‘What the hell, all you do is run around, fart and fall over’ but my daughter likes watching Pungeance on the tube, and I can’t really let her play GTA5, so we kept playing…
And wow! once you figure out how things work, learn about some unlocks and start two player (Controllers highly recommended, camera moves much better with them) the hours will fly by. Getting some unlocks feel like genuine achievements / lessons in perseverance, the LOL key and microscopes spring to mind.

We (my housemates and I) have played this game since it was on the OUYA, and missed it so much that we bought it on PC.
The Amazing Frog is a game about messing around, persistence, and discovery. If you wanted to go all literary-analysis on it, you could say that the ease with which you fall down and get back up again plays into the theme of persistence. But honestly I think the devs just thought it was funny.
The main gameplay loop is something like this. Mess around until you find something weird and new to interact with. Try lots of things with it until it unlocks something. With the new unlocks, rinse and repeat. This loop wasn’t really present in the OUYA version, and I think it’s an overall improvement that lengthens the appeal of the game and gives it an occasional magical quality. Don’t be expecting amazing discoveries though; we’re talking small stuff here. This game works best with no explanation and little to no expectations. It is exactly as dumb as it looks, with lots of fart humor and the occasional pop culture or current events reference. I think the unabashed silliness of it goes so dumb that it wraps back around to funny for us.
