Vertiginous Golf
This game is really pretty cool. It’s a minigolf game with a really cool fantasy-esque atmosphere and neat little contraptions all over. You build up power with swings and can use either a rewind button or a little jet thingie on your ball to move it slightly where you want. At first it seems like rewind is incredibly OP but the game gets fairly challenging and fairly fast. To the point it might even get a bit frustrating to some people. Luckily I was playing it with my girlfriend so I did honestly have a good time watch us both screw up a few times. The game’s got pretty good graphics and a neat art style and is surprisingly not too computer intensive too.

The Good
Vertignious Golf is a gorgeous game, both conceptually and stylistically. The game controls aren’t difficult to grasp, the music and sounds are well designed, and the interface is nice and clean, not interfering with the graphics – did I mention they were gorgeous? Oh, yes, I did.
The hummingbird and rewind features are welcome additions to the basic gameplay of minigolf. In fact, given the complexity of some of the holes, they’re requirements. The availability of a wedge in addition to a putter is welcome, adding a level of strategy absent in other minigolf games.

Rayman® Legends
Rayman Legends is quite possibly the best 2d platformer released in the past 10 years.
It’s the follow up title to Rayman Origins (also a great game) and if you missed it, 40 of the stages from Origins have been included in Legends as additional re-mastered content.
It features over 120 different stages each with varying atmosphere, amazing music, and plenty of hidden collectibles. Each of the levels are hand drawn and beautiful to look at. Despite not being overly impressive on a technical level, Rayman uses a timeless style. While games like Crysis 3 probably won’t look that great 10 years from now, Rayman Legends will no doubt retain its charm.

Rayman Legends is absolutely legendary. However, if you plan on playing single player, you are missing out on one of THE best co-op games of all time. I’m not even sure what the storyline nor do I care, because the gameplay is reason enough to play through this side scrolling platformer.
The graphics are gorgeous with what looks like handdrawn sprites in 3D worlds. The animation is smooth, fluid, and the control of the characters are on point. At times the game moves really fast where you have to run constantly or face death, and other times you can explore the level at your own pace. It is fun to watch, and even more fun to play.

The Yawhg
Initially, when I first heard of this game, I just figured, “hey, this looks kinda neat but I’m not paying $10 for it becuase I’m a lousy cheap-ass.” It looked like a cool concept to me and if it looks like a cool concept to you, then you’re perhaps in for something of a treat.
Now, when I first played it on my own, I wasn’t particularly entertained. I mean, yes, the different story paths were somewhat interesting and the various different endings were kinda cool but I wasn’t really absorbed into it. It was just something I used to make a good 45 minutes pass by one day when I was feeling bored. Then, while with some friends the other night, I decided to pull it out because we all needed a game to play and this just so happened to be multiplayer and seemed like a nice change of pace from the usual stuff we always tend to play (e.g. Genital Jousting, Jackbox Party Pack, etc.) What I didn’t expect was for us to keep playing over and over again for several more hours, as we found ourselves unusually entertained by this strange little game.

The Yawhg
The Yawhg is a quaint little game. The premise is simple, you control up to four characters in the weeks leading up to a great disaster known as The Yawhg. Nobody knows the Yawhg is coming, and you can only command your characters so far in that you pick an activity for them to complete each week.
Your characters will gain stat points for the activity you choose. For example, chopping wood increases strength. But random events will also happen, so while chopping wood you might meet a dryad, and they’ll ask you to dance. If your character has a high finesse score, you can impress the dryad with your dancing and receive a reward.

Moving Out
Moving out is a great two player, up to 4 player, game. It is one that will test your relationships with your playing partners, but one that will also result in a lot of laughter as well. You are tasked with moving furniture out of homes, apartments, businesses, and more. You have a certain time in order to get a gold medal, silver medal or bronze. Once you beat the level once, you are given 3 objectives that you can do in each level. Sometimes you need to not get hit by a car, or not touch the snow. Some are simple, but some are a bit more complex. There are a few hidden objects to find for collector’s sake, but also for achievement’s sake as well.

I don’t have a lot of playtime on this game yet but fully believe it deserves a thumbs up. It’s true, this game is couch co-op only but that’s exactly how I play my games anyway. My wife and I play Overcooked all the time and were curious how this would compare.
So far, we view it as more laid back than Overcooked but not in a bad way! With Overcooked, you’re constantly looking to make sure you’re cooking the right food and serving it all in the correct order. While the challenge and strategy of Overcooked is fun, it can also be tiring. We found that with this game so far, we can sort of do our own thing and call for help when moving larger objects. We found ourselves laughing a lot as we try and maneuver the corner couch out the front door. Pivot…PIVOT!
