Experimental
About:
-
Experimental is an old-school 3D platformer where you have to complete levels in order to unlock new levels. Some levels have different unlock requirements like time, score collected or attempts needed. If you fail to unlock a level you can always try again, but you cannot save the game inside a level. Your best attempts are saved so you can always try to improve your results.
-
Use various items scattered throughout the levels. Keys are needed to unlock some doors. Score items are sometimes required to unlock new levels. Weapons are sometimes necessary to survive the onslaught of enemies some of which can respawn just like you. Armor can give you an advantage by making you take less damage or sometimes even nullifying the damage done by weak enemies. Explosives can be used to take quick care of large amount of enemies, but be careful as explosions affect everything around. Some objects can be moved or destroyed when they block your path forward. However, be careful when moving heavy objects as they may end up on top of you.
-
Not all robots you encounter are enemies. Some robots can help you by throwing items to you that you wouldn’t be able to reach otherwise. You may even try to give these robots some spare weapons and armor and see what happens.
About workshop:
- If you know how to use Blender, 3ds Max or some other 3d modeling software, you can try to make your own custom levels and if you want to, you can share them with other players through workshop. Custom folder contains 2 example levels made in Blender and 3ds Max that show, how levels for Experimental are made.

The story was very deep and emotional. I learned about about life and myself by playing it. While the story may not be obvious at first, I hope any that play can come to see how great it is.

I can honestly see this game having a lot of potential if it was polished but in its current state I cant recommend it. The game starts in what I am assuming is Chinese but there isn’t a whole lot of options so its not hard to figure out how to switch it too English. Middle button on the home screen brings up options, button on the left in the options menu switches the game to English.
The controls are really hard to get a feel for. Jumping is incredibly delayed by about a second after pressing the spacebar which makes it very difficult to try to jump on anything. Running is slow and you can watch your character take 3 or 4 steps in place before moving forward so it always feels like you are walking through sand. The camera angle will sometimes bounce off of objects and other times it will clip through them so you are always dealing with a shaky camera. You cant fire your gun from the hip you always have to be zoomed in and while zoomed you not only move slower but you can no longer strafe. The biggest annoyance is the sound you make when you run which in my opinion is way to loud and repetitive and doesn’t sound like foot steps but more like someone knocking on wood.

Escape from Terror City
Review after completing hard mode.
I’m a renegade sector shill and usually like everything they put out, but I have a hard time recommending them to people. They tend to be interesting and fun design wise but lack the content and polish to justify their usually high prices. This is the first game from the dev that I think is worth the price asked even if you aren’t already a fan of the dev.
Very interesting take on cabal style shooters. Definitely leans more into the bullet hell aspect of games like Thunder Kid which is good IMO since the bosses of those games far outshined the platforming. For Escape from Terror City, the stage design is excellent in addition to the bosses due to the more focused bullet hell gameplay.

Hot Dam is this game fun!
It reminds me of contra or metal slug, but in a 3d world environment. Sure it may not have as much polish as a shoe from the 18th century, but there wasnt any glaring flaws. I had the camera clip in to a wall while playing when i got to close the the back wall of a certian part of a map, only ran in to it once, and when i did, i just moved fowards a little bit and i was back to seeing the whole game.
The level design is amazing, and what i mean by this is, every level has a choice for its path, theres a fork where you can choose where to go, you will get some unique mini boss’s then it will branch back with the other path before the final boss of the level.

Is the dog really the problem?
Well, we will never know…
There is an inventory but no way to interact or pick up items, when you open the front door you can´t get upstairs anymore… controls from hell. One nice little ass wiggle animation though. And easter eggs.

Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta - Episode 1 - Gold Edition
TL:DNR: A noble, but much flawed effort. Buy it very cheap ( us$1), or="" for="" the="" achievement="" 100%="" ( us$1.50) br="" Okay - so this is one of those games that the “comedians” of Steam just go on about either with brutal comments about it giving them cancer, or racist/sectist crap, or they do the lame sarcasm.
This isn’t one of those.
What I like about this game, is their intent. To make a Arabic/Northern African themed game of adventure and discovery. I like the characters most of the time, and would really like to see more games coming from Arab countries make it into the mainstream (Semaphore is a Saudi game studio), as I am intrigued to hear their cultural voice applied to gaming. The graphics are generally pretty good, though the ATV escape ‘chapter’ had some odd graphics quality, I think to mimic a sandstorm, but looked like a bug. The brother and sister team is a great idea too. /us$1),

“Oh look guys, it’s Timothy writing a review for that one game everyone on youtube makes fun of! I can’t wait until he tears it a new arsehole, because he’s a cynical bastard and that’s what cynical people do!”
If this was your reaction when you noticed this review, then I’m sorry to tell you that I will not write a funny 9/11 Allahu Akbar type of review. I respect the dev team, who put a lot of work and effort in this game, too much for that. Well yeah, this game is inspired by Uncharted, Tomb Raider, what not, they won’t deny that. But at least they are enthusiastic about it. What’s the last time you saw people this happy about making a game? Even if the game is buggy (and oh, trust me, it is, I’ll elaborate) I still had fun playing it simply because I know the devs had fun making it. They really want to make an amazing adventure series where you explore the arabic world and its many fascinating places (which it truly has, no doubt about that). The dev team knows that they’re not making GOTYAY material and doesn’t say they are. They try to stay positive while everyone on the internet’s too busy making fun of them and their “worst game ever” (a title that many other games I’ve played deserve more). They respond nicely to often assholish or ‘funny’ behaviour and criticism, which I think is something most developers can learn from. So yeah, kuddos for that, guys.

Cheap TPS/FPS hybrid with solid platforming and shooting. Randomized levels, clean visuals and fun arcade gameplay full of jumping, shooting and exploring. Even has full body awareness which shows attention to detail. Greatly polished and optimized experience that pays homage to megaman X series with more emphasis on movement. Maybe a bit lacking in scope, but dev clearly had vision and heart for it. Totally worth it.

Dragon War
This game has good potential. The idea of fighting other dragons and having to worry about more than one is rad. I like how each dragon varies and has different abilities but overall are the same, which makes the fighting a bit more fair. The AI will circle around a bunch and do lots of movements that can be very mind boggling or annoying. The game is obviously in early release so there is lots of updates that are needed. I definitely recommend this game and give it a chance to help devs build it further
