Quite fun game and very cute game. Quite the short gameplay but if you are trying to get all achievements you might waste an hour or two on it.

Etherborn

Etherborn

8.5.2020. Game #122

DO NOT BUY THIS AT FULL PRICE. WAIT FOR A SALE

I know this is mean way to start a review but if you are going to take anything with you from this review, take those two sentences. Now with that out of the way, let’s begin.

The human mind, its wasted potential and other nonsense

Etherborn is a game that tries to way too hard to be deep and meaningful. The second you start a new game you will be hit with confusing statements how the human mind and body are wasted potential and how humans could have done so much more with ourselves but how instead we settled on mediocrity and blah blah blah blah, I’m sick of it already. This game pretty much talks about the same thing that those hidden Gods that created the world talk about in Assassins Creed games

Etherborn is one of those Humble Bundle indie games that will last you less than a few hours. My playtime says 4 hours, 1 of those was me being AFK. I went in fresh, so I would imagine that if you’re better at puzzle games or already know the answers you’d be able to pass this much faster.

The game has a nice aesthetic. I’d imagine that a significant portion of development time was spent getting the art style right. It follows a simple design that comes through with lighting and shading. There’s also a decent soundtrack here. I won’t call it the best I’ve heard, but there’s a variety of instrumentation with an ensemble that clearly knows what they’re doing. And they do it well.

Construct: Escape the System

Construct: Escape the System

It’s a platform game in First person view, so it’s different from what we usually have platformer wise.

If your a platfromer fan you are sure to enjoy this one, it’s different from what we usually experience, but it still is great and thoroughly enjoyable game, do note that the game is fairly simple to play but there is a difficulty spike that will test your patience, but in the end they are all doable, winnable and killable…

The game is beautifully done, the level design, layout, look and feel is very beautiful, a lot of care and attention went into creating a very beautiful and visually appealing game. The accompanying sounds really enhances the overall quality of the game, with a soothing soundtrack to really set the relaxing mood for the game itself, the combination of sounds and visual art really comes together quite well.

First of all let me say that this game will not appeal to everyone!

Now as for the game, the gameplay is nice, first person explorer/puzzle type. It starts off rather blocky as in any touch with a wall/platform/object instantly stops your movement. Once you get used to it, it’s rather fun and smooth.

Lots of areas to explore, Construct HUB, 4 HUBs, 4 System Core Acesses, 4 System Cores and several Ability unlocks. Each is fairly big and you will need to understand the mechanics to progress further.

The Forestale

The Forestale

The Forestale is a fun platformer with bright juicy graphics and skillfully crafted levels. Starting to play it, I got very carried away for several days. The game deserves attention, although it is not a masterpiece, since there are flaws in it too. I will list the main advantages and disadvantages.

ADVANTAGES:

1. The levels in the game are non-linear, and, in addition to enemies, there are many traps and obstacles. The author has definitely managed to create an interesting gameplay.

2. The main thing: you want to explore all the levels, and each of them contains secret places with prizes. Finding some of the bonuses was very happy, because they pump up the hero well.

YES, THIS IS REALLY A RETRO PLATFORMER!

So retro that it makes me remember my childhood when I played my console…. Т_Т

I think it should be noted that the controllingis difficult to get used to, because of this I often died (it’s good that the checkpoints are nearby).

this game will help you get nostalgic for a couple of nights.
