Forklift Load

As you can probably tell by my hours played, I like this game. It’s a nice way to sit back and chill out. I just did my first speedrun of it, clocking in at around an hour and a half. I plan on getting faster. Overall, it’s the perfect speedrunning game with lots to discover, some nice music, and a world that’s kind of nice behind all the jankiness of the physics.

Except the jump upgrade mission, that one can burn.

I 100% it in one 6 hour extended playthrough. So it’s not exactly a long game, though not easy ether. Especially a certain rooftop mission.., anyway it’s impressive for a project that I think was made by one dude though overall it is very rough around the edges. Like on a technical level there are a lot of glitches and bugs. That said the word that comes to mind when trying to describe this game is artful.

There is something about the whole experience that was simply enchanting to me. It may be flawed but it most certainly is a work of art (and a fun game with decent challenge to boot). I haven’t played anything quite like it.

Escape from Terror City

Escape from Terror City

Review after completing hard mode.

I’m a renegade sector shill and usually like everything they put out, but I have a hard time recommending them to people. They tend to be interesting and fun design wise but lack the content and polish to justify their usually high prices. This is the first game from the dev that I think is worth the price asked even if you aren’t already a fan of the dev.

Very interesting take on cabal style shooters. Definitely leans more into the bullet hell aspect of games like Thunder Kid which is good IMO since the bosses of those games far outshined the platforming. For Escape from Terror City, the stage design is excellent in addition to the bosses due to the more focused bullet hell gameplay.

Hot Dam is this game fun!

It reminds me of contra or metal slug, but in a 3d world environment. Sure it may not have as much polish as a shoe from the 18th century, but there wasnt any glaring flaws. I had the camera clip in to a wall while playing when i got to close the the back wall of a certian part of a map, only ran in to it once, and when i did, i just moved fowards a little bit and i was back to seeing the whole game.

The level design is amazing, and what i mean by this is, every level has a choice for its path, theres a fork where you can choose where to go, you will get some unique mini boss’s then it will branch back with the other path before the final boss of the level.

FORZA POLPO!

FORZA POLPO!

I’ve been helping to beta test this and the experience has been an absolute blast, even in its early access state. Great replayability and the controls/mechanics have been well-tuned. It reminds me a lot of the PS1 Jumping Flash series from back in the day. Buying copies for all my friends and family members this season.

Go go Polpo!!!

Forza Polpo is a delightful first-person platformer. Excellent controls and nuanced movement make the varied stages a blast to explore, encouraging you to scour every nook to improve your score. The world is dripping with charm and a striking visual flair making it instantly memorable, and the music is great. There are, of course, comparison to be made with Jumping Flash, but even in its early access state, the mechanics of Forza Polpo are far more refined, and it has enough ideas of its own to stand out as a unique and engaging game in its own right.

Mechone

Mechone

[the Game is not complete][if you are cocked about single developer developing the game you are in a wrong gamepage]and dont beg for keys. buy the game.

Mechone is a 3D Real time Strategy Game based on Four races. the Pyrolytes, the Semitrytes, the Hydrolytes and the Uncronytes. you have to use platforms to move and traversethe game. you can use and target your units in a strategical placement like chess. its not a management game. its not a diolouge driven game. its not even wa walk and start shooting game. this is a new genre of strategy game.

Strategic Ai

The oppnent of this game is a strategic Ai. there are four cults to choose from. the Enemies strategise their attack and a in a unique way they play against you. You will face a strategical tactical environment in this game. there are upto 3 enemies depending on the level maps. You will be playing against a computer rathar thna a human opponent as it is not a multiplayer game. the Multiplayer is not featured due to overuse of player to player interaction and the lack of building features in the games like most RTS.

Gameplay

The game play of this game is to choose turn based startegical placement of your character. you can do one thing at a time and wait for he opponent to make its move. the game is dependeded on the resources and the battles effect he player ability. you can call in your other corporals in this game though the hub and upto 13 players you can play against a enemy. its not in the number but how you play the game. there are 4 players of this game depending on the map.

You can make allies with two of them and ensure your victory.

Uniquedesign

the characters of this game are all uniquely designed and you won’t find it on any other game. the game is based on year 0000 and it is unknown what tech it folowes.

But as the game design is it is a super tech highprofile miltary strategical chess game. once you make the move, it is like the turn of fate what happens as a result. so you have to be aware of your moves. the characcters of this game are designed none like beforehand. and there are no refrences. but yes. they are all bugs.

Level Design

The level design of this game is unique in its own way. its a new genre of level design. designing this game i was faced with the trendy designs thatim making a game. rathe it is a graphic design oriented game. You won’t find trees and mud and grass and temples of ancients or a mechanical unit or a machine but MEchone is a game that is about the inside of things the mechanics or the machine within the organic design.so the levels are or platformed and designed as a machine. the levels are adaptive. and non repeating. meaning depending on your moves the gameplay will be diffrent each time you play. so you can play the same level over and over again to enjoy the most of it. it could have been a simple to complicated task base level design to guide you through the story. but im giving you the gest of the gameplay without fussing over a separate intro video to waste time. the story is simple. they have conflict. you play.

The Players

Get to kow the characters. which ones are more effective. they all fucntion the same way but it is upto you to choose your character to play with. do you want oyur first Lt. to do all the job or you want to aid him with maruder.

The Ammos

The ammos of theis games are semi unique meaning they have bullets but as blades and electric charges and power surges. the ammos are not the usuall blow up king kong but they have been thoughfully organised to go with the mechanical theme of the solo miltaray startegy.

Thunder Kid II: Null Mission

Thunder Kid II: Null Mission

What happens when you take 2d Megaman and DIRECTLY TRANSLATE about 75% of it’s mechanics, then splice it a bit with shmups, all into a 3D game? This game happens.

Pros:

-Excellent enemy variety

-it’s entirely possible to platform past enemies, however certain segments do force you to kill certain enemies

-Decent level design variety

-Enemy designs and color palettes quickly allow the player to learn, and later recognize enemy attack patterns, you won’t find yourself squinting trying to recognize obstacles, pitfalls, projectiles, or enemies against the environment, every danger you need to understand is presented quite explicitly

A real retro blast!

The bosses are a real highlight of the action, but some of the environments really stood out to me as well for fun level design, especially the city and the aerial armada.

Thunder Kid II has a lot of small polish and usability improvements over the first game, which I appreciated. Less hitbox confusion, more blasting robots!

Pendelum

This is addicting, the good way

A great game, it has a wide variety of levels already in the game to play offline and train your skills. You will need these to break your and other peoples records. You can go bonkers with the level editor, a fabulous tool to sink in for hours and then challenge people online to beat your levels - the only limit is your imagination, and skill.

The game is challenging in just the right way to be motivating and frustrating at once. I cant recommend this game enough, espacially to people that like puzzle and physics games will be able to spend many, many hours in this.

Real player with 19.5 hrs in game

Pendelum is such a neat concept. Although I admittedly don’t have much experience with physics-based puzzle games, I’ve never played anything like it. The level design is quite good, in general. I liked the feeling of simply moving the pendulum (as it has a certain weight to it), and in trying to maintain enough height to maneuver with some precision. I decided to pick up Pendelum so that my co-op partner and I could play through the three sets of levels designed specifically for co-op play.

However, I do have a few gripes. First of all, it’s just a bit too punishing for my tastes. Levels come in sets of four, and if you don’t complete the whole set in one go, you’ll have to start again from the first one in the set (even if you’ve made it to the final level). There are also no checkpoints in the levels themselves. This omission is more forgivable - however, some of the levels are quite long. My co-op partner and I failed repeatedly on the penultimate level within the second set of co-op levels, and then put the game down until the following week. We picked it back up again, made it to the final level, but again failed repeatedly until we became exhausted with the game.

Thunder Kid

Thunder Kid

“Mega Man meets Crash Bandicoot”. Hidden gem is right. This is a fun behind the back shooter platformer that takes you down corridors of baddies. The bad guys are mixed and matched to make each scenario unique and increasingly challenging. The bosses are spectacles and the secret coin in each level is a nice bonus. Highly recommend this game and other Renegade Sector games!

whaaat a game

i really enjoyed the advanced difficult in spite of simple controls. the music was good enough and fit the look and style of the game, the boss fights are truly where this game shines, the platforming is occasionally painful but i very much suggest checking this out. looking forward to trying the sequel after completing this one shortly!

Tyr: Chains of Valhalla

Tyr: Chains of Valhalla

A platform game with a great soundtrack.

The game is pretty simple, go from point A to point B and defeata a boss.

You can get used to the control, and when you understand the mechanics the game becomes really funny, I specially try the game with a speedruning tempo, so the game was pretty fast, but if you are the kind of people who want to kill everything, you are gonna take your time.

At the beginning the game try to stop you in some places, but when you learn some positions or patterns of the enemies you can defeat it.

Tyr: Chains of Valhalla is a 2.5D hardcore platformer that has seen some major improvements!

The game begins with really awesome music, which carries through the game. It also begins with fantastic anime style artwork, which was stunning. The story is fairly interesting, since it is a modern day take on Norse mythology. You play as Tyr, who is created by O.Din (Professor Oswald Din), and your task is to stop L.Oki (Lemuz Oki). A lot of strange but intresting repurpose of mythological names that makes the initial read quite engaging.

Hey everyone and this is my review about the game!

This is a Side scrolling platform game.

A Friendly message from me to you. People that suffer from Epilespy may be affected at the start of the game (once you load to the menu).

Second friendly message from me to you. Ignore this game and search for a better one.

Interface/Menu/Settings

TLDR: No Xbox360 pad support. Sluggish. On screen HUD made of standard .ttf fonts imposed on the background naked. Have to hold mouse and e button and place cursor on ennemy and hold for several seconds to kill it.

Menus are inception-style, with menus within the game engine. Really disturbing stuff. The visuals have been made worse almost on purpose with fake scanning lines and weird artificial artefacting. While you suffer all this they blare trumpets at you while strange early 3D era animalpersonthings smash into each other on the foreground.
