ELIF is a “3rd person puzzle-platformer”. You will experience a wholesome narration following the main character Elif. You will have to face challenges and succeed in all trials. But you won’t be alone: your favourite friend and companion Crocus will be there to help you !

Solve puzzles, riddles, climb mountains of books and pillows, ask for help from your faithful companion to reach places which are inaccessible alone ! Through trials and exploration, you will discover the story of Elif, a little girl full of life that will make you wish to join her in her beautiful imaginary world.

Elif is a young 8-year-old girl living with her two parents. They decided to take a dog to warm her days when she is under the weather. His name ? Crocus. He created a really strong bond with Elif as they were playing in and out of the house, throwing him toys and watching him crash into all sorts of couches as he rushed for the toy. Crocus is kind of her best friend.

During the “bring your pet to school” day, as soon as they arrive, Elif and Crocus feel that something is wrong .. Someone is sad. We have to find them and help them !

Follow your two new friends on their adventure and spread good vibes all around !

Hollow Mind: The Lost Puppy

Hollow Mind: The Lost Puppy

While this game doesn’t do anything especially bad, it simply doesn’t offer any reason to play it. It looks pretty, but the gameplay is too simplistic to offer any intrinsic entertainment, and there’s no narrative or other such reward to make it worth sitting through. Add in the bugs and general lack of polish and you get a game that simply isn’t worth the time in its current state.

The core of an interesting game is certainly here, but it’s barebones enough that it feels more like a project the developer used to play around with ideas than an actual game. The biggest issue in my opinion is a lack of reward or positive feedback for the player. For example, the stated goal given at the beginning of the game is to collect the “three” stuffed animals in every level. However, not only are there more than three of them in many levels, but there’s no actual incentive to collect most of them. A few of them have achievements tied to them, but it’s fully possible to gather all the achievements without collecting them, leaving most of them utterly pointless.

PHOGS!

PHOGS!

Excellent game of its own right but as far as games you can play cooperatively with a small child I think this might be, like, the best I’ve ever played. Was a little hesitant to pick this up at full release price but my daughter has been harping on me since we played the demo and I am happy with the decision. I have a 3 and 5 year old. Phogs’s fun and bright art style gets them excited enough to talk about throughout the day, with puzzles and gameplay that challenges without frustrating. It’s the nature of cooperative play which takes Phogs over the top for me. You can use a two controller scheme for couch-cooperative teamwork or a scheme where each controls both phogs, to help guide younger players. Either way you can help steer each other in the right direction while both are totally playing the game. Everything about it is executed well; controls, art, sound, music, gameplay. The devs definitely had a strong vision, with the talent and resources to execute it.

The Good:

This is a very fun game to play with another person in co-op.

There’s a variety of worlds and levels and for me and a friend, one complete playthrough took us about 9 hours.

The puzzles are fun and do not feel like they’re too challenging, nor does it feel like the objective of the puzzle is hard to understand.

I would not recommend playing solo as controlling both ends of the PHOG is a little tricky.

The Bad:

We ran into quite a bit of bugs while playing over online co-op with items not appearing or not showing that you’re holding an item.

Doggone Hungry

Doggone Hungry

Absolute masterpiece. Insane replay value. Really excited because they just announced Doggone Hungry 2! I suggest you play through the first before the 2nd comes out. It took me three hours to finish the story as it is an extremely challenging campaign. If you get discouraged easily, or have trouble with puzzles/stealth I highly do not recommenced this game. If i had a game I could compare it to, it would be a mixture of Metal Gear Solid, and Dark Souls. Great game especially for its price.

  • DDug out! Good luck to those to take this game on, it was for sure a grind for me.

Kill Them With Cuteness

Kill Them With Cuteness

Awesome for a first game for a single dev! Great level design definitely makes me nostalgic for platformers of the early 2000’s (Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, Spyro, etc.). The voice actors deserve an award for their contributions.

Would absolutely recommend for anyone with an hour to kill. Now all that’s left to do is wait for the GOTY edition to drop.

Bought this game thinking it might be a bit of novel fun. What I was presented with was a buggy, incompetent and unfinished mess. Asking any money for this is robbery, not even worth $4.50. Aiming mechanic is beyond broken, objective unclear, enemies look shit. BAD!

ETA –– I have found that the game is broken at the end. You hit all the switches in the final level, then the screen tears, and you fall into nothingness. So a proper ending can not be seen. Further, on reading in the discussions, I see that the game has been reported to be this way over TWO YEARS ago. And the devs have done nothing about it. And Steam continues to sell a broken game —- unacceptable, so I am changing my recommendation. Who wants a game without a proper ending?

Animal Doctor

its not what i expected. you dont get to run your own vet practice. you dont even get your own house or anything. very short game. not very fun.

Real player with 4.8 hrs in game

The devs have apparently never seen an American farm or talked to a real vet. The hillbilly music playing constantly in the background isn’t bad, per se (it’s pretty good, for what it is), but I don’t particularly like that style of music. And not everyone who lives in the country is a hillbilly, for gods sake. So why that music? If they added some alternate tracks, I’d be okay with it.

But the main problem is that it’s goofy. No vet would send an intern to scrounge around in the forest for “healing herbs” (which he can’t even identify) or let him be sidetracked into becoming a delivery boy for the local farmers. He’s ON THE CLOCK. Not to mention the fact that farmers don’t generally leave clumps of goat cheese and bottles of milk just lying around the farm to collect later.
